The final result was well done. The process was slightly longer than expected to complete. As with all home improvement projects you need to be specific about the agreed upon work, completion timeframe, materials to be used, etc. You need to follow through to make sure it is done correctly at each step. You need clear communication through out the project to resolve issues that arise. The painting was done beautifully , but we did have to correct the type of paint used. This caused a painting completion delay. The doors had to be repainted with the correct color and type of paint. The patchwork was completed where we had a light removed and a new fan added. The patchwork and painting was perfectly matched to the existing ceiling. The cabinet removal and replacement with custom cabinetry was done well. It is extremely functional in basic shaker style. They were able to purchase the same tile used in the connecting room so that the match was perfect. The previous tiling Fusion Pro grout was not available due to Covid-19 manufacturing issues. This caused a delay in the project as it would have had to have been custom ordered with a three week wait for delivery. So we were able to resolve the issue with a comparable color from Fusion Pro. The finished projected looks great, is extremely function, and was completed to our satisfaction.

The arctic blast caused 2 water pipe breaks over my MBR. Owner Nick, along with Carlos, Jose, Valente and other members of COMAX Renovations, removed all wall, ceiling & insulation. Within a week, all work (new ceiling, walls, insulation, painting, carpeting) has been completed. I watched from sidelines taking photos. These guys are competent going above and beyond what was expected. I am fully satisfied. I recommend yhis group for work needing completion.

My husband and I were building our dream outdoor living area when our original contractor disappeared and left us high and dry. Nick Ortiz, owner of Comax Renovations, was recommended to us. We met with him, he saw what we needed, and within two weeks our kitchen was completed. We couldn’t be more pleased. The quantity and craftsmanship of the work done was excellent. We decided to remodel our kitchen and reached out to several companies for estimates. Comax came out to review what needed to be done and provided a timely estimate which I felt was fair. Once the work started, all of the workers were professional and courteous, and they always kept things clean. The job was done in a timely manor and I am very happy with the work. We are going to use Comax for other renovations we need done, and I would recommend them to any of my family or friends.

The initial visit with the owner went fine except he showed up 30 minutes late for our appointment. He sent me a proposal within 2 days. He had left off one small item, I asked him to add that item and I stated I would sign off on the proposal. He never did that. He left me a message that his crew would be at my home the next Tuesday at 10. The owner and the crew showed up at around 11:10 or so. They had a pickup full of wood and lattice. One worker carried the supplies carefully and set them on the ground. The other worker would get 4 foot away from the pile and would just throw what he had in that direction. The owner collected one third of my payment has per our agreement. The owner left. My discussion with the owner about the staircase included the design. He stated it would match the columns on my home. My columns are blocked 6x6 with a decorative bottom to them. The supplies that were put on my lawn consisted of a few 2x4s and the 4 step set to build the stairs on. I told his worker that the supplies were incorrect. There wasn't even any posts to put into the ground. I could not figure out how anything could be built with the supplies they had brought with them. I couldn't figure out how they could even attach what they had to my home. The worker spoke to the owner. The owner said to go back and get the supplies to build it like we agreed. I'm glad I was home that morning. The owner stopped by a couple of hours later to collect another third of the payment. He stated that they were almost halfway through. I paid him. The other worker was putting the lattice up. He was very careful to get it even but they did not bring anything to put between the pieces. So, there are many gaps. I called the owner about this and other problems. He stated that it would be 150.00 or more to do the slats that hold them even. Some stuck out more away from the house than others, all around. Also, they did not buy enough material to finish all 3 sides like we agreed. On the staircase, 2 of the 4 posts were split one foot or more on at least one side, one board on the top step is split almost in half. There are chunks of wood missing on several pieces, obviously they did not look at the wood they purchased at all. A lot of it is trash. The worker put the slats on with nails that were an inch or so longer that the width of the wood. So in the end, my staircase had dozens of nails sticking out everywhere. How dangerous. I discussed all the problems with the owner by text and phone. After stating that all would be corrected the owner proceeded to ask me for the final payment even though they still had a lot of work to do. I told him no. I left to do errands because I felt the owner and I were on the same page. When I returned I noticed the staircase was not sanded and painted. Nails were still all over it. (Dozens) I called the owner to ask him to come fix this problem because my 3 grand-daughters were coming to visit, and the 2 year old would be eye level with many, many of the nails. The worker did not show up until 2 days later after another text to the owner. I asked him when the work would be corrected and completed, he stated the next week on my off day. No one showed the next week, another text to owner, he stated the next week because we had rain coming. Finally the 3rd week with many dry days in-between no one came. I texted the owner and told him if they did not come by to fix all the problems and complete the work by end of business that day that I would hire someone else to do it. At almost 6:30 one of his crew was out on my porch opening paint cans. The damaged wood was not corrected, it was not sanded and it was covered with mud. I told him not to paint. I texted the owner and fired him. What a nightmare. The only way to get everything corrected is to tear it down and start over.

Perfect. They did the 520 sqf backyard patio floor in just a day. The work was very well done and the place was completely cleaned after finishing. I highly recommend this company

Comax, led by contractor Nicholas O., did an awesome remodel on my kitchen! From the quartz countertops to the beautifully painted cabinets and new backsplash, it was all put together with care and craftsmanship! The workmanship was superb and it turned out to be gorgeous!! Comax also installed a new wooden front door and glass door on the front of my house and they fit like a glove! I would highly recommend Comax and intend to use them for a remodel on my master bath!!

Bathroom tile was removed and replaced according to initial specifications. Nicholas is a very easy contractor to work with and ensures the job is done correctly. He understands project work from the homeowners perspective and will ask questions until he ensures he has the project specs down correctly. You will not be disappointed.
