Response from Bay Area Kitchens
Dear (removed member name), Thank you for taking the time to speak with us about your project and write a review. I am sorry we were unable to work with you, but I assure you we do not make it a practice of pushing anyone out the door. We always try to at least refer people that are not in our price bracket to a reputable provider (our previous review illustrates this point). I often say that we refer more projects to other designers or contractors than we take on ourselves. I am proud to say that we have never received a negative rating or comment for "bad work", but the few bad comments we ever get are that we are not the cheapest company in town. In fact, we have been in business since 1983 and have NEVER had a complaint with he Better Business Bureau or any other organization, have never been sued, and have never had to go after a client for non-payment. Our kitchen remodels do seem to begin at around $50,000 and go up from there, even for galley kitchens, because we use only premium products and high-end custom cabinets, and my staff and my workers have all been with us for many years and help me to take exceptional care of every clients all the way from design through completion, including sending a maid service in to clean the construction area and every surrounding room. We have a nice showroom in which we showcase our products and services, and I've seen MANY "competitors" come and go over the years It is my theory that most of them went out of business by not charging enough for their services. Again, we've been here since 1983 and are still going strong. I am happy to hear that you apparently were able to find a reputable source for your remodel in a suitable price range, and I hope you enjoy many years in your new kitchen. Sincerely yours, Randy Godeau President Bay Area Kitchens
