Basically I was charged over $500 for a microwave handle. Tech made me pay in advance because I am the landlord. He could not repair dishwasher and put the handle on built in microwave. I did receive a $25 refund on trip charge but still out the labor and parts charge for the dishwasher. I have filled a complaint with BBB to see if they can resolve the matter. I will never use your service again and plan to tell my friends and family not to use your service either.

We just found out yesterday that Donnie is on Angie's List and I had to write this review. You cannot go wrong in hiring Donnie. We have used Donnie many times in the past years for washer, dryer and dishwasher repairs. He is the most informative person I have ever met. He gives good advice on how to improve you appliance, especially the dishwasher (lemon shine). Our first encounter was from American Home Shield. Donnie was the 3rd person they sent out to repair our dishwasher. One wanted to replace the pump, the second one wanted to gut the machine and rebuild and along comes Donnie. I explained about the black greasy spots on my dishes, etc.. It turns out that there is a rubber ring at the bottom of the washer which was aging and needed to be replaced. Bless Donnie, if the other two had their way I may never have had a working dishwasher again. We highly recommened to one and all.
Description of Work: Donnie was sent out by American Home Shield to repair our washer and it didn't take him long to tell us that it was the switch that controls the wash cycles. He told us that he would have to order the part and get back to us the early part of next week.

Because we had a good experience with this company many months before, we called them to repair our washing machine (which at the time was about 4 years old). Over a 2-month period, the technician made 3 or 4 visits. The machine was never fixed, the technician simply did not have the experience to diagnose or correct the problem. After the second visit, the control panel was loosely attached and wobbled. The technician brought another person, and I could tell, from their conversation, that something was amiss. (A customer should not have heard this kind of exchange.) Finally, we agreed that they could have the washer to use for training and we wanted a refund. The morning it was to be picked up, the technician called to ask if we had a dolly and could help load it! Guess what - he never showed up! We never got a refund and had to buy a new machine. The only person who showed professional behavior was the woman who handled phone calls. She remained calm in the face of my anger, and tried to deal with the situation in a professional manner. I cannot recommend this company.

Appliance Masters was the second company to look at my Drier. They replaced the fuse. I found later that the fuse they used was a Maytag, my Drier is a GE. They have been very difficult to get hold of and the repair was done by someone else completely different who found a blockage in the Drier Vent.
Description of Work: I bought my Drier from Sears. They subcontract repairs to Appliance Masters. They replaced a fuse.

See above. Bottom line, this was a terrible experience and the company is not one anyone should do business with.
Description of Work: Reppair to a KitchenAid Dishwasher that kept popping open and would not complete a wash cycle. The technician said the latch on teh door was not working and would need to be replaced. The dishwasher is 4 years old. I authorized the work and he replaced the latch, charging $300 for parts and labor. All total the visit lasted 45 miutes. Two days later, after one wash cycle the diswasher started popping open again. I called. After two weeks the technician came back and said the latch he used for the replacement was defective and he would need to order another one. It is now November 22, 2011. I have called them repeatedly, left messages, talked to people, been told someone was coming out "that afternoon" or would call me "that day" and still the dishwasher remains inoperable. This week was the final straw. I called and they asked me what the problem was and could I give them the part number so they could order the part to complete the repair. A total and utter rip-off and waste of my time. They lacked honesty and integrity in the executiion of their work. As far as I'm concerned they owe me my $300, but given their method of operation, I know I'll never see that money again.

Appliance Masters showed up on time for first appointment. Clean and professional. Worked to diagnose exact problem (not just saying a whole system-like motor-needed to be replaced) found likely physical impediment and fixed it. When we ran the dishwasher again it exhibited the same problem, we called and they made convenient appointment for follow up repair. We have no complaint that the first fix wasn't complete-that is how things are repaired: fix the apparent problem, if symptom persists, go deeper to find out what is wrong. Technician showed up early for second appointment -- and they scheduled on a Saturday, which made it very convenient for us.
Description of Work: LG Dishwasher stopped working in mid cycle and didn't drain. Pulled a code LE. Technician diagnosed probable cause, debris around rotor in motor, repaired. Test (not full cycle) appeared fixed. First load run afterward same thing happened, Technician returned, checked further, found wiring problem and fixed the wiring. Did not charge for second call.

The guy came out in October and had to order a part that included a 90 day warranty. The dryer has been running again but it's running way too hot and distributes lint and dust in heavy quantities. My utility area is heavy with this dust so much so that I can't keep up with it. It's coming from the dryer and I'm concerned that when he jerked the dryer out from the wall it lost it's venting connection. After the hustle of the holidays I have called the company back to correct the problems. They are not returning my call. I'm feeling like I've been taken.
Description of Work: I was having trouble with my Maytag dryer when it just quit on me. It just stopped. I looked in the phone book thinking I was calling a Maytag service company and the ad just above it was the number I called by mistake.
