Description of Work: 4-6 inch thickness foam to all of attic walls, attic ceiling, built foam walls (2) around garage attic space. Mr Wallis did the estimating and the work along with one other person. They worked hard for 9 hours and delivered more than promised. Foam has helped stablilize temp and dampended acoustics inside. Say no to aluminum foil systems or the aluminum paint (Ultra block II). Thanks Robert Wallis.

This was a great experience of service, quality, and price. Heath came for an estimate the day I called him, and was very quick to respond to emails from his I-phone. He was flexible about time and had no problem with my putting him back a couple of weeks when some other work had to be completed before he could foam. His price for the work done using comparable materials was significantly lower for the attic work than other bidders. And when his bid for under the house was higher, he lowered it to meet the the lowest estimate I had. The men did a great job of applying it. The bid said 6", but that is the minimum. It looks to me that they applied it 8" to 10" most places and 12" in some places. They also foamed the output plenum on my HVAC for free, because it was not included in the bid. Heath has the most advanced digital equipment to insure that the insulation is mixed and blown properly at the right temperature, and his men are well-trained. The foam is amazing stuff and is usually sprayed on the roof rafters, closing the attic and making it sealed and conditioned. I was uncomfortable having a, closed, unventilated attic, in part since our HVAC is up there, so I put in soffit vents, turbines, and a 97% efficient radiant barrier. I then decided to put foam on the floor of the attic since the house did not have insulation. This is not a standard way to do soft foam, but Heath worked with me on it and his men had no trouble doing it. I did a lot of research before I had Heath come, and it's clear that for older homes, or any home, foam is more expensive, but far superior to batts or blown insulation. It never shrinks, sags, or settles, nor does it decompose and turn to dust like cellulose. It stops not only conduction of heat/cold, but convection (air currents) which other insulations can't and which greatly reduces the stated R-value of insulation. R-49 is worthless if air is flowing through it, and most houses are not air sealed well enough to get the R value out of conventional insulation. The open cell foam is a terrific sound insulator, and seals against dust and bugs, which others can't. We are noticing all these benefits already, and look forward to significant savings this summer and next winter.
Description of Work: Heath and his men applied 6" of Bayseal OC foam to my attic floor (1330 sq. ft.), and 3" under my house (1550 sq. ft.) using the crawl space. (Bayseal is made by the German company, Bayer Materials Science. It is a "green" (no formaldehyde, no CFC's) open cell, .5 lb, polyurethane foam, comparable to Icynene and Sealection 500.)
