Kevin is the owner of my pool is cool. He is very professional and responsive, he is also pretty laid back and has a way of calming you when the it seems like there are a lot of things wrong with your pool. I purchased a house with a salt water pool, approximately 23,000 gallons with a spa, this was my first experience with a pool. The closing happened remotely and the pool was green less than a week after closing. I initially tried to hire the guy (after closing) who was taking care of the pool, but he said it was too far and he was only doing it as a favor to the previous owner. In addition he added that he hadn't been out to maintain the pool in over a month and didn't want to deal with a cleaning like that. Using Google, I found mypooliscool.com and spoke to the owner, Kevin. I decided to hire Kevin to get the pool back up and running before we moved in. We were still out of state. He came over, added some chemicals, back flushed the filter, added DE and did what needed to be done. After a week there wasn't much improvement and the SWG was throwing codes. He tried to clean the SWG, but it still thew codes, so it had gone bad. Luckily we had a warranty and the warranty company replaced the SWG. The water was clearing, but the sides of the pool had a lot of algae build up and Kevin recommended we drain the pool and powerwash the algae away. Kevin drained the pool power-washed the sides and got the pool back up and running quickly. Kevin provided me with before and after pictures and videos during the entire process. I ended up hiring hiim to maintain the pool for the summer and will continue to hire him for the pool closing and opening next year and for maintenance. He was always professional, courteous and on the up and up. He sympathized with us because the pool was left in terrible shape by the previous owners, but he never tried to over-charge or do additional work that wasn't needed. A small word of advice, if you are moving to the Weatherford TX area, or anywhere for that matter and there is a pool with the house, I would pay for a separate pool inspection by someone like Kevin because it will save you a lot of money in the long run if the pool and equipment are on the edge of failing. I would bet money that the pool was drained and refilled right before our showing.. there is no way that system would have kept it clean given the condition it was in.
