Description of Work: Have not received estimate as yet. The contractor stated it would take a while. | |I would check back with the contractor, but as of the present, I may not move forward with the projects.

Description of Work: This was one of three companies that I contacted for a quote on a remodel. It took him some time to come out and then took it over two weeks to send me a quote. He sent me an email with a quote for only part of the job that I wanted done but it was only a dollar amount with no details when I asked for a break down of the work to be done, I never heard from him again.

Description of Work: Bantex installed a 35' x 12" LVL ceiling support beam and center post in our sunroom that we had added to our house some years ago. Although the room started off as a simple pergola, it progressed over time into a large fully enclosed/air conditioned room. As a result, the initial support beams were inadequate to support the added weight of the roof and it's support system. Terry Bantan gave us a very timely and reasonable cost estimate for the work to be done. His crew showed up early and on time and completed the work in less than one day, inspite of the fact that the job required jacking up the ceiling beam with a series of supports to install the very heavy LVL support beam. They wrapped the LVL with 1/2" cedar to match the other wood in our room. The crew was meticulous in their work to insure it met with our satisfaction and their clean-up was better than any I had ever experienced. Terry arranged to have our three ceiling fans moved with a very competent electrician. Finally, he gave us a $150 credit since the material and labor were less than he had estimated. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!!

Description of Work: I contacted Bantex and received a returned call within a day or two. I spoke to the owner and he was very honest with me. After I told him what I needed he explained he was running at least 3 months behind. I explained to him I didn't mind waiting that long. He said he would contact me after July 4 and we would set something up for him to come out, take a look and give me a bid. I have not heard back from him and that is why I gave a C rating but I will contact him again in the not to distant future. We'll see what happens after that. I really liked his honesty with me up front.

Description of Work: Terry told us from the beginning that he was busy at the moment and in the middle of two different jobs. He said it would be about a month before he could even begin our job. We told him that was fine, we would really like a bid as we were impressed with his reviews on Angie's list. Terry came out right on time and went over our plans for the addition and remodel. He said it would be 2 weeks before he could get the subcontractors out to get all of his numbers together. No one showed. 2 1/2 weeks later I called and was told it would be the next week and he would be out, he was sorry, he had not fogotten about us. I called him when that week came and went and he had to be reminded who I was. He said I had my weeks mixed up and it would be that coming week that they would be out (I was not mixed up about which week!). Additionally, he told me that after "they" came out it would be another 2 weeks and we should have our bid. We said "fine". My initial call was in February and the last I heard from him was in April. No one, including Terry, ever showed up and Terry has never called again. I have gone with a company that actually does what they say they are going to.

Description of Work: Terry came out once to estimate cost for room addition and then again on a separate Saturday with a plumber and electrician for 2hrs to look again at our property. Total of 3-4hrs spent looking at our house for an estimate he Would never end up giving. Very disappointing to spend so much time letting people in your house and getting no results. Very rude and professional.
