I called three companies I found on Angie's list. Metroplex Gutters was the first to respond. And, as it turns out, they were the lowest bid AND the most responsive. I could have gotten the gutters installed MUCH sooner, but I waited nearly a month to hear back and schedule quotes from the other two companies. I called Metroplex gutters on September 5, 2012 and arranged for the sales rep, Andy, to come give me an estimate the following week. Andy came out on September 12, 2012 and gave me a quote for gutter installation around the whole house. The original quote was for roughly 200 linear feet of gutters and 8 down spouts. It was the cheapest of the three quotes and they removed and hauled away some existing gutters on top of it. We purchased our house a little over a month ago and gutters were the first house project we wanted to embark on. The house had no gutters around it except for some homemade gutters on the large back patio that the previous owners had installed. Why someone would own a house and not put gutters in..I have no clue, but because of this, there was two areas on the fascia and eaves that had become damaged from lack of gutters. In addition, there was some significant erosion near the foundation on one side of the house and the brick was dirty from mud-splash up from whenever it rained. The reason I mention this is because over the last week and a half, we had repairs done to the eaves and fascia and because of the rain and extreme condensation in the mornings, it was difficult to find a good time to paint. Micah, the owner, was very good at working with us to schedule installing the gutters after we finished painting the areas that would be concealed by the gutters. We had to push the installation back a bit, which really helped us out. Today, Mike and Steve came out to install the gutters. They arrived at about 11 am and were both very professional and polite. Mike immediately recommended the need for leaf guards, at least the front and side where we have several large trees. This was good, because I had totally forgotten to have them added in the initial quote. I thought they would have to come back on a different day to install them, but they sent someone out and brought the leaf guards to our house so they could be installed today. It took Mike and Steve about 5 hours to complete the job. I worked from home today and was initially a little worried about the noise being a bother (visions of roofing), but it was actually pretty mild and allowed me to work. After the installation, Mike and Steve walked me around the house and showed me the completed work, commenting on different areas where appropriate. The work was excellent. There is one corner near the front door that when it rains has a stream of water flowing over it like a waterfall. They knew this would be an area of high water flow and put vertical flashing to reflect any additional water from going over the gutters. The metal flashing at the base of the shingle line was tucker into the gutters all around the house so the shingles actually extend out over the inner wall of the gutters. Everything is very tight and very professional. I am very pleased with the work and recommend them!

Their quote was reasonably priced and we spent some time talking about the different things because I wanted to add 2 new rain barrels to some of the rain gutters. The person that came out was a nice gentleman, very prompt and answered my questions.

They were fast, efficient and clean. They picked up all of the old nails and debris from this job very well. I would use them again, no question about it. I referred them to my neighbor who also used them.

GOOD PRICE FOR SUCH A WORK, BUT LACK OF QUALITY IN SOME AREAS.
