Infinity Barns is owned by Donnie Flanigan. My contract was not through Infinity, but it was with Donnie Flanigan. He has multiple company names and now I know why. His contact numbers are 281-924-4055 and 214-399-1246.
The contract was signed on January 25th and work began on January 26th. I had to pay $7,000 CASH upfront before any material was ons ite or any work had begun. I shouldnt have done it, but I did. Framing was to take 3 days, and job was to be complete in 6-7. Framing ended up taking 5 days and it still wasn't really complete at that point, but Donnie said they'd get it finished when they came back to install metal. He also asked me to pay another $2,000 from Draw #2 that really wasn't due, but he needed it to pay the framing crew. After that, I didn't hear a word from Donnie for the next 4-5 days. Then, when he did respond, he stated his brother was supposed to have called me, but that obviously didn't happen.
Donnie stated he was waiting on metal and have a hard time getting the color we chose. After a few days, he text my wife and ssaid the metal would be delivered on Tuesday. That never happened. It didnt happen the next time he stated it would be delivered either. Finally, Donnie said the metal needed to be paid for and he need the remaining $5,000 from Draw #2 to pay for it. I told him I would pay for the metal direct, but wouldn't give him the cash. They wouldn't take a credit card over the phone and wanted me to give them a check in person. It took me a few days to get by there and do this due to my schedule, but I did go pay them. When I asked why they wouldn;t take a credit card over the phone, they stated it was because they didn't trust Donnie Flanigan. If you don't believe this, then call Rick or Hussein at Ft. Bend Steel and Supply. So, now steel is paid for, but it cost me $5,200. So, now I am $14,200 out of pocket on a barn that cost $15,000 total.
Once the steel issue was resolved, we had some rain days and this was always Donnie's excuse as to why he hadn't finished my barn. We had many good weather days, but Donnie always had an excuse; tooth pulled, in court, wet ground, etc. After dealing with this for several weeks, I tried to pin him down on when it would be finished. He told me to find someone else to finish my barn. I told him fine, but stated he owed me the $2,000 that I had overpaid him. To date, a month later, I still have not received my money and don't expect to.
I have contracted another company to finish my barn and it is going to cost me at $25,000 by the time it is all said and done. This includes the $2,000 overpayment to Donnie Flanigan. Plus, I am having to pay for repairs to the crappy framing done by his subcontractors. I am in the process of suing him, but that is going to cost me money as well. However, I am just stubborn enough that I will spend even more money to make his life miserable. I doubt I'll ever get the money from him, but I plan on having a judgement against him for the rest of his life.
In summary, this guy is a fly-by-night contractor. He wants money upfront and will run off before he completes the job. I should have known better, but I believed what he told me. Don't make the same mistake I did. This guy is a liar and a crook. If you want furtherproof, please do not hesitate to call me as I have all correspondence in writing. Also, he operates under about 4-5 different businesses. They are all advertised as LLC, but the Secretary of State has no record on several of them.
