Generators of South Texas

The company is owned by Rick Tolliver who was recommended to me by Danny Hixon of Thor Electrical.  I have used Danny for several jobs (he is an Angie's List member), and respect his opinion. At the time I was having the generator installed, I was also having all of my siding replaced with Hardi Plank.  I was very impressed at how all contractors, Tolliver, Hixon and Ron Finch (my siding contractor) worked together to get the majority of the electrical conduits for the generator behind the paneling.
Rick handled the permitting and coordination of the plumbing, electrical and inspectors.  For anyone doing this in Kingwood, I do have a word of caution.  Dealing with the City of Houston inspectors for Kingwood is very unpleasant and I was glad I had someone who took care of it for me. 
I found Rick and his sub-contractors very professional and the work was done on time.  We had some serious problems with the original permit; the City wanted me to install a 30kw generator for an 1800 square foot house.  Rick and Danny Hixon kept me calm and we were able to make it through the permitting process and get the proper generator installed.  Rick has a great sense of humor which we really needed!
I have actually used the generator three times since it was first operational.  It comes on within 45 seconds of the power going out and I don't have to do a thing.  I truly hope we don't have another hurricane but at age 68, this is going to make a big difference in my life.  I spent Ike taking care of a 90 year old semi-invalid father and trying to keep a gasoline generator going for two weeks (Kings Forest) so we could keep the equipment operational that he needed for his care.  I never want to go through that again.
