Description of Work: We had several bids for our patio cover before discovering Joel (thanks to Mercado Construction for the tip). My wife and I were unanimous in wanting to go with Joel. Workmen were efficient and left everything exactly as they found it. We couldn't be more pleased by anyone else we considered. The cover is totally custom ( to me, anyway) and it looks as though it were built the same time as our house.

+ 1 moreWe are very pleased with the results. Our HOA proved to be the largest delay in the project. He handled all of the paperwork, and was very communicative with us during this process. Once he received all the permits, he gave us a start date for the project. His crew was there on the start date, and was incredibly fast, efficient and clean. At every step of the project Joel and his crew made sure that what they were doing met our requirements. I cannot be happier. I will be using him again for future projects.
Description of Work: We had Joel and his team build a gabled patio cover on our back porch. It covered approximately 500 sq, and was about 20 feet high.

+ -1 moreThey were very efficient, very timely, the same person dropped by every time, and they were very friendly. We are using them because they were great. They came out in person, and I had contacted someone else who just emailed the quote without coming out, while these guys came out and measured everything, and they returned all our calls and were very efficient. The pricing was good. I am assuming quality will be good because everything else has been so good.
Description of Work: We got a quote from Cornerstone Carpenter for building a carport for us.

+ 3 moreEverything went quick. The slab was poured within a day of them coming out the first time. The framing commenced a couple of days later and they had the room addition framed and roofed by the end of the day. The patio was framed and roofed the day after that. By the end of the week everything was done except for the paint. Joel was been very responsive to any changes to the project. His crews have done excellent work and are very detail oriented and haven't cut any corners as I can see. Joel has done several home improvements for me and all were done to my satisfaction and reasonably priced. Another excellent thing is he takes no money until the job is complete.

+ -1 moreWe ended up with a structure that is 100% of our expectations. Arrived with enough experienced employees to beat the schedule anticipated. Left the work area spotless daily. Came in under budget. Do yourself a favor an get as many bids as you feel confortable but make sure Cornerstone Carpentry is one of them. If you are concerned that their bid is to good to be true ask Joel to show you the pictures of the Sheffield Gray project.
Description of Work: Wanted to cover our back patio. The cover was to be approx. 18x20. It had to be designed to attach the back of the brick home plus be incorporated into to existing roof structures. Lots of design and engineering time required. Cornerstone was one of three bids. All three were recommended by Angies list. Cornerstones bid was nearly half the others yet he had the same level of ratings. We went with them. They arrived on a Friday morning with a crew of about 7 people. By Friday evening they had removed the necessary parts of the two roofs that were being attached to, the framing, sub roofing and wiring of the new structure was complete. When they left the total work area was spotless. They returned the next morning (Saturday) and completed the underside planking and the roof. Again the work area was completely clean when they left. They returned on Monday and painted, hung the ceiling fans and installed the recessed lighting fixtures. Completed in three days!!! Gave me the bill which was $500.00 less than I expected!!!!!
