Office staff was professional and called a couple of times to let me know that though they were very busy, they would be there as soon as possible. Also called to check on the location of the tree and to give an update on removal. They came out several days before the removal to look at it and to be sure that we agreed that it was the correct tree. On the day of removal they checked again and removed it quickly and cleaned up well. Duncan runs a great business. He is easy to talk to and he has a great crew.

I hired them to trim some trees and take English Ivy off the trunk & branches so that the vines wouldn't take over & hurt the huge oak we had. It was a very detailed, time-consuming expensive job. But the cost was worth it to save the tree. What actually happened was the tree had to be removed because one of their workmen put a chainsaw to the trunk! They left workmen to take the vine down with hours of no supervision - I was at work trusting the job to them. Furthermore instead of removing the vines as we had talked they butchered the tree by cutting off the majority of branches! It looked like one of those trees the electric company cuts to keep wires safe. A disaster. They assured me the 2" cut into the trunk wouldn't kill it. I talked to them at length. And months later when the tree was dying, They offered to remove the tree at NO COST! I was so upset and disappointed b/c they appeared different initially. What I asked was for them to plant a new oak. They said no.

I've done almost all my auto repair at Dunn's for several years. Excellent work for fair price.

Faster than scheduled and very well done. Left all of the chipped material in our mulch pile, and stacked the logs in our firewood area. They will be back to treat some of our trees for oak wilt

I thought his price was outragous to cut down one tree. He wasn't even going to haul it away.

Duncan Brooks they were very professional, they know what they are doing, certified arborist, we discussed the trees that needed to be handled and he gave suggestions, he offered alternatives so I had somethings to choose of what would be done. He also told me what the destruction had was to the various trees, we had some wind damage that I was concerned about. How the trees might come down in the future and the idea was to protect the properties in case we had additional damage from more high winds. Very professional. The were very friendly, courteous and kind. They kept to themselves, they were quick.

I found somebody else that was more to my liking and went from there. The guy is very professional, but it's just that he didn't meet my requirements and my needs. I thought he was a little high, but that was the reason we went and got four bids. I liked the fact that when he did give me his bid he gave me a listing of all of his insurance companies and people who are covered with him and a lot of other information that a lot of people don't give. I didn't use him, but he was timely and spoke in terms that I understood. He was an arborist and I thought that he was very good. I think he came out the next day and was within 10 minutes of his stated arrival. I don't think I will get a quote from them again because I was very satisfied with the person that I got and the amount of tree trimming that I did have done I don't think I will need it again for another 3 or 4 years.

The overall experience was good. I observed the entire process, and my opinion was well accepted, plus questions and recommendations from me were well accepted. They very obviously wanted to please me.

He arrived at the correct time, walked through my trees with me, and advised me on the cause for my difficulty (non-native tree) as well as some possible solutions should I decide to save the tree. He answered all my questions and seemed to know what he was talking about, including areas that were controversial within the professional arborist community.

Tree survived

I called and Scott came the same day I think. We discussed the work to be done and he emailed me an estimate the next morning. I authorized the work and they performed the work within the week. Scott, a certified arborist, knocked on my door at 7:30 one morning and said that they were ready to begin but because of the wetness might not be able to finish that day. I told him that I would need to get my car out of my garage before too long to go to work. The workers seemed to be diligent and thorough. They were considered and asked when I would need to leave. They pulled the truck out of the driveway as soon as I said I was ready to leave. When I returned home the work was complete and the areas were clean.
