Discount Foundation Repair

I called twice for an appointment and the last time I was stood up. They never have even called back. I would not hire this company.

My house was impacted by the explosion in West, Texas and needed to be releveled. It is an old pier and beam house. Other services came out and were quoting me $10K, saying that I needed to have all the work under the house taken out and have a whole new system put in. Some of them ran through their spiel so fast, I could barely understand the words. Discount Foundation Repair came out and quoted me a firm price of a little over $4K. He took the time to tell me exactly what he saw and what they would do. He followed up with me patiently as the insurance paperwork dawdled about and then came out when he said he would to do the work. Initially he quoted me 4 days but when he came out he said he brought in extra men so they could get it done in two days. And yes in two days, it was done. I do have additional cracks in the walls but he and I had talked about how the walls were going to be redone anyway because of the damage from the explosion. I am amazed at how much better it feels to walk across my kitchen floor now and how well the door shuts. Updated on 9/3/13 - I had another contractor come in to replace drywall, etc. They showed me that the house was still not properly leveled. I called the owner of Discount Foundation to request that he come meet with my contractors to resolve these concerns. He told me that the house was as good as it was going to get. I tried to point out that it being out level was going to create additional work for these contractors and he told me that they needed to understand sometimes in life people have to do extra work. He refused to come and review my concerns. While the house seemed ok at first to my untrained eye, after having another professional show me that it was not as good as it should have been was very disheartening. I'm extremely disappointed that he would not do any kind of follow up or address the issue.
