Description of Work: They cleaned carpets in 3 bedrooms and stairway.

Description of Work: I had needed the carpets cleaned in three bedrooms and a hallway. They all had light to moderate soil, but there were a few pet and food-based stains. I also had two tufted wool/wool and silk area rugs that were heavily scented with dog just from our dog lying and rubbing on them. There were a few spots of dog urine on one and one whole area where a cat had marked repeatedly during the week just before she was spayed. I had done my best to remove both stains and odor myself using stain removers and Bac-out. What remained was the overall doggy smell in the denser wool rug along with some light staining and some cat urine smell in a large spot on the lighter wool and silk rug. My main objective was to have them clean and relatively odorless even if all discoloration from stains and normal usage couldn't be removed. Both rugs and carpets were all light-colored. I had read ahead of time about the difficulties of properly cleaning tufted wool rugs. When produced, two rugs are woven together face-to-face using a continuous looping of fiber between them. The backs of the rugs are coated with glue or latex to hold the loops in place and then often covered in fabric to seal in the glue. The two rugs are then cut apart. This leaves only the adhesive material holding the now cut loops in the rug. Normal washing can further wear down the adhesive and turn it to mud, causing the whole rug to start breaking down. So I knew it might not be worth the price to have these 6-yr old rugs cleaned, which had probably cost about $700 combined.
