They made good on it. They fixed the wall into an acceptable 1/2 wall with pillars. We decided not to move the dishwasher because it was possibly going to create a problem in the end. It would require cutting of cabinetry and the end result wasn't going to be professional. I passed on making changes to that. After that was settled they delivered it to my property. The delivery guys say that others will arrive to set it in place, jack it, block it, tie it down and secure it. After I got my electric set in then they would come back and activate the air conditioner and place the skirting. They left the tongue in place until the last step (the piece they tow it with). After setting and blocking they did not remove the tongue. I called them and questioned why it was still there. They did send someone eventually and could not get the bolts off so they just hack-sawed it off. No one called me about it first but just did it then slid the rest of it up under the trailer. When I saw that it had been sawed off rather than properly unbolted I called to see if they were aware of it. They wanted to know why I was bothered by that. I'd been previously advised that the tongue was there for future moving. When, in the future I want to move it I'm now going to have to pay to have it welded back on or repaired. The company has argued with me about the tongue and not advising me about my options. I called the movers that placed it and questioned them about the tongue and they did verified that re-welding is not uncommon and the price to weld w/probably be about $100. After that was all said and done I asked them about the skirting. They said the air conditioner people were suppose to bring it. I told them it was not there. After more dickering they finally followed up and then let me know it was on backorder. I wasn't onsite during some of this work but my dad was there. They said he'd been advised but he had not. I have mostly been bothered by the that the lack of communication between the company and me. It has fallen through the cracks. I paid cash for this home and feel I've been dropped as a valued customer. They've even questioned me since then about producing all of these promises and statements in writing. Now they're making statements like "that's the way it goes!" and "Do you have it in writing? If you don't have it in writing, then you don't have it, do you?" when problems are mentioned. They are not the family business that they originally presented them to be. I mentioned legal action after all of these problems. Our communication has completely broken down at this point and I have no resolution. I'm going to wait my 30 days out, present my punch list to the maufacturer of the mobile home and see what comes of that manufacturer's promise.
Description of Work: I bought a new manufactured home from this company. We did a LOT of shopping before hand. I am a well informed consumer and researched as thoroughly as I possibly could before deciding on a brand/company. We selected TLR Homes because they are a small family run business and sold us on being professional and great to deal with. We custom ordered a home rather than buying off of the floor. I purchased options carefully with the features we wanted (and/or were recommended by Consumer Reports). They called when it was delivered to their lot. When I got there to see it there were OBVIOUS problems that I pointed out immediately. They were glaring problems like: a 4 foot wall divider on the floor plans that we had questioned previously in the floor plans. They confirmed multiple times that it was a smudge on the paper and not part of the floor plan but when delivered they denied the prior conversation. We defined clearly our preference for dishwasher placement and it was totally misplaced and set next to the stove and oven. Again, after the fact, they denied our conversation about dishwasher placement. I was so clear about that previously. It was suppose to have a hidden pantry as well. It was also an option. The pantry however, is more of a little room. It was suppose to be cherry wood stain with a false front and 6 cabinet doors. Instead it is vinyl covered sheet rock with a 4 ft wide white utility door. This is totally not what I ordered and not acceptable. They did acknowledge that was a mistake and that it was messed up at the factory but did not offer any resolution. We left saying - this will not do. The sales rep denied our prior conversations. I left. The owner called to see what was wrong and was courteous and professional and attempted resolution. He invited me back and offered to figure out a way to fix it. He offered to move the dishwasher and move it as requested. He found a way to open the wall and modify it in some way. He acknowledged that the pantry wasn't acceptable and said that the manufacturer would have to come and fix it themselves. He then suggested that we take the unit, live it in for a month and make a list of everything that was wrong and needed adjustments. I finally accepted delivery and agreed to live in it for a month with the agreement that the manufacturer would come and fix it.

Response from TLR Homes
This member purchased a special order home that was not on our lot. She bought off of a floor plan. When the home was built by the factory(not me) it didn't match what she had in her mind. TLR did everything they could to make the home what she envisioned. She even states that in her report. We are a small INDIVIDUALLY owned business. I am the owner and my son was her sales person.(sounds like family to me.) The wall we re built in the kitchen was not something that was previously in writing(contradicts her in writing statement). I called her numerous times on monday morning following a call that came from the manufacturer. She had sen them an e-mail on Saturday. I did not leave a message, that is not prank calling. After I spoke to her at 11:30 I have not called her home again. This is ridiculous.
