One Guard Warranty

I have had One Guard Home warranty for several years. I was shocked when I received by 15th notice from them today that my plan is about to expire that they have an A rating with Angie's List. I'm calling BS on that. I can't imagine anyone would give this company an A. Now, to be fair, I think all of the home warranty companies stink, and it's a matter of finding one that "sucks the least" vs. one you like. However, since I have been a customer of theirs for close to 10 years, I think I have the longevity and experiences to be considered a most accurate reference of the service experience. Each year the call fee goes up. At least $5 a year. It's now $70. Meanwhile the coverage lessens and the exclusions shrink dramatically. They keep changing their "bundles" and names of service levels to confuse the customer. Make no mistake, even the highest level of service is less coverage than the year prior. Then they add all of these new, fun, optional upgrades. Luxury appliance - yeah - if it's a built in, it's luxury. If they can't replace your fridge for $250, it's luxury. Oh and this year's new one is HVAC Equipment Incompatibility Protection. AKA for "buy new AC equipment as we're not replacing Freon or fixing old AC equipment anymore". The timeliness to get service for failures is ridiculous. Plan on being invconvenienced and waiting for a complete repair about a week. In summary, all home warranties are pretty much a scam and a big waste of money. In my opinion, this one is among the worst!!! Keep shopping.
