This attic work was hot, messy and cramped. Both attics had substantial amounts of unnecessary and ineffective plastic and insulation material that had to be cleaned out before any plywood work could be done. Neither attic is high enough to enable anything more than moving around on knees. Knee pads and face mask protection were required during the work. Full 4'x8' sheets of 5/8" OSB plywood could be brought into the lower attic through the new access door, but those sheets had to be halved lengthwise in order to get the plywood into the upper attic. The work took 3.5 days. The resulting storage spaces are now A++.
Description of Work: This project required access doors to be added to the ceilings below two separated attics so that work could be done within those attics. The upper attic required a commercial pull-down ladder to be installed and the lower attic required a custom hinged-door to be built and installed. Then plywood floors were required to be added over the support beams and insulation to enable the attic spaces to be used for additional storage. Finally, LED fluorescent fixtures and wiring were also installed to illuminate those spaces.

Hugo quoted me $200 to perform the work and scheduled for 9am on a Saturday. He showed up on time and did an excellent job. The corners are now even better than they were before, and this is a brand new house. The fee was exactly what he quoted but because we were so satisfied with his work, we paid him an extra $50 and had him quote two more projects in our home. He is very careful with details and keeps a tidy area while working in the home. Hugo is our go to guy for trim and finish work. BTW, I listed his zip as Fulshear 77441 but that is not correct as he does not have an address on his card. He lives in the Houston area.
Description of Work: I asked Hugo for a quote to lower the mantle in our living room of our new home.
