Ms. Lovett was available to show me any house at most any time I chose. I never felt any pressure from her and always felt comfortable in her presence. She answered the phone promptly nearly every time I called. If she could not, I never had to wait more than a few minutes for her to return my call. When I had a vehicle problem, she drove me in her own vehicle to view the house. Another time, she spent nearly an hour in a traffic jam to show me around the neighborhood so I could view the house from the street above. We viewed houses on both sides of town and she spent many hours talking to me on the phone and at the various listings we viewed as she earnestly tried to understand what I was looking for. I also received over two dozen emails from her in the course of my search, so I was always well informed. She is a consummate listener and it is very interesting to listen to her speak in her delightful German accent. I felt completely at ease with her as I told her of my concerns and ambivalence in moving to another house. She was very patient with me and let me call all the shots. When I thought I had found a house that might suit me, she accompanied me to view it two more times after the initial viewing. When the seller of the house I chose rejected my initial offer, we held many long discussions over our next move. When I decided to make a counteroffer, she very skillfully worked through the negotiations and offered the seller facts that showed the benefits of accepting it. When he accepted my counteroffer, we signed a contract with an option period and I paid an option fee. Soon after this was done, my true feelings on the matter finally became obvious to me. I realized that I was not ready for a big move like this and I decided to cancel the contract. This is where Ms. Lovett's true professionalism was tested and passed with flying colors. She accepted my decision with grace and calm reassurance. Her many hours of work and her expenses from driving all over town to meet me at the many houses we viewed came to nothing because I got cold feet. As a result, she had to forego a large commission and I hope this narrative will partially serve to repay her for her hard work and dedication. However, I think it must be said that I did not tell her that I would write this review. I think that anyone who choses Ms. Lovett to represent them will be served with the highest degree of dedication and skill. I just hope that anyone relying on this review will be able to carry the transaction through to the end so that she will receive the just dues for her hard work and diligence.
Description of Work: Ms. Lovett served as my agent as she accompanied me in touring ten houses in El Paso over a two month period. She searched for houses that met my criteria and gave me the support and information I needed to make an important decision. When I chose to make an offer on a house and the offer was rejected, she, with the assistance of the title company, calculated the net cost of various counteroffers I could make so I could make an informed decision.
