Started on day promised. Jim and crew worked hard and were friendly and helpful despite bad weather. Very pleased with finished project and source of pride.

Jim listened carefully to my wishes offering helpful, sensible guidance for the best results. He and his crew were prompt and courteous and were particularly sensitive to our needs during construction due to having dogs. I could not be more happy with the outcome. I am already planning to use Down to Earth for additional outdoor improvements.

We have owned this house for 3 years now and have had Jim and his crew here each year. Each year Jim and his crew have wowed me. The job I asked for this year was beyond what I was expecting. I would say “attention to detail “ was the action of the day. I had acorns growing in my ground cover and they took the time to remove each one of them, not just trimming the tops off. The day was a wet and cool day but the carried on as if the sun was out. Jim and his crew were very polite and respectful. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them again.

I am happy with the wonderful gate constructed by Jim Hall and his crew from Down To Earth Landscaping. It is sturdy and will last for a long time. The crew worked hard all day to complete the work. Jim made suggestions to improve on the older gate, solving problems we had with it sagging. He is a good craftsman and very knowledgeable, skilled in solving a problem that was not anticipated, and very professional. The price was good, within our budget. We highly recommend this business.

In a word, fantastic. Jim and his crew build a high quality, 1st class fence that will last for many, many years to come. All of the fenceposts and framing are perfectly level and lined up before a single fence board is attached. The fence boards are also meticulously lined up with the slope of the land. You can look down the top of the fence line and not a single board is out of place. His crew is very pleasant to work with. At the end of each day, everything is thoroughly cleaned up. We had some spots that took some special framing. They made it look even better than we could have imagined. I couldn't give Jim and his crew a higher endorsement.

Jim and his crew did a great job for us. In the front yard, they removed the rock from 1 area and added to another area that needed a 2nd layer. They then brought in larger rock and filled in the area the rock was moved from. Both rock beds are now leveled and look great. It took a lot of hard work to complete this part of the project. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work required. We also had Jim and his crew mulch several areas in our backyard. They were equally meticulous. We already have plans to have them back to do some more landscaping for us in the near future. Your money is very well spent hiring Jim and his crew to landscape your yard.

I hired Down to Earth Landscaping based on their very positive reviews in Angie's list. Jim Hall provided expert advice on both the aesthetics and practicals of supporting the shed. Their crew was scheduled to do the work in my backyard. They arrived on time and completed the work exactly as we had discussed and for the price promised! I would definitely recommend Down to Earth Landscaping to anyone.

Jim did a walk around to discuss our needs/wants. He gave us a bid we thought was fair. He showed up on time. He was professional. We were extremely pleased with his work!!! We will call him in the future!!!!

He scheduled me for a week later. The morning that the work was scheduled to be done he arrived as scheduled. His crew worked quickly and were very professional. Absolutely fantastic. Great job removing the old soil, prepping with new soil and then laying out the sod. Fastidious cleaning at the end of each day kept the mess to a minimum. Couldn't be happier. Delivered exactly what they said, when they said. Would hire again in a hearbeat.

James Hall and his crew were very prompt every day. They treated my wife and I with professionalism at all times and were responsive to our needs or any changes that we wanted. The project took 2 weeks to complete (3 weeks in man hours). This crew worked hard as they had to remove several items, replaced the fence (using screws not nails) and also stained the fence. (All materials carried away.) They did a huge amount of stone work. They trimmed the trees we requested and did a super job. They planted a large amount of new plants (Various forms of Cactus, rose bushes, Redbud Tree, Vitex tree (2)) They also scrapped the old grass away and laid down new dirt and Palmetto St Augustine grass. It is important to add that they cleaned up every day before leaving. We presented to James Hall what we wanted and he came back in a couple days with an exciting plan. My wife and I cannot say enough what a great job they did and how proud we are of our new yard (front and back). Our neighbors have been very positive to the new look. If you are serious about have Landscaping done to your home, we highly recommend James and his crew at Down To Earth Landscaping.

Jim Hall showed up on time to provide an estimate, took measurements and gave me a quote on the spot. The price was competitive with others and I liked his punctuality so I scheduled the work to begin 2 weeks later. Jim and his crew showed up on time to start work and completed the job within a day and a half. What impressed me was Jim's can do attitude. Another estimator spent more time telling me about the challenges he faced replacing my fence and he never returned with an estimate. Jim evaluated the challenges and said he could work around them. That's what I like to hear! Bottom line: Jim Hall is responsive, his prices are competitive with others, he does quality work and won't stop until you are completely satisfied.

This was the second time we have used Down to Earth for landscaping and stone scaping so we knew we would be pleased with the outcome. The crew arrived promptly daily, was cordial and respectful of property and they know their work well. They removed all debris, put everything back where it had been and left the area better than they found it. If you have questions or concerns, not exactly sure which direction you want to go with a certain part of a project, Jim has ideas or suggestions that will work for you. And if a problem should arise he will research it and find the right answer for that issue. One thing is for sure we will always call Down to Earth!

James Hall and crew did an excellent job. Their price was competitive with other well-reviewed fence companies. Because they are also landscapers, they were able to take down trees, handle shrubs and stones, etc. The crew was hard-working and pleasant, despite working in the rain. They responded quickly to questions and changes, and they cleaned up thoroughly when the job was finished. They wanted to make sure we were happy with the job -- and we definitely were.

Team arrived fairly punctually on the agreed date and worked continuously until the job was done. All team members were very courteous, respectful and professional to both my wife and I. Job did run a bit longer than expected due to some complexities with the slope of the land and shallow buried utilities (cable and phone) but the end result was quite nice and well worth the cost -- and not a single utility was negatively impacted. Definitely would hire again.

After three similar bids ($200-$400 between them), we chose Down to Earth Landscaping due to the responsiveness and ease of the owner, James Hall. He responded quickly to the initial phone call, gave a bid on the spot, and followed up with another phone call. We were happy with the choice. The team, supervised by James, produced a sturdy, straight fence in 2 days. It looks great! They also removed a couple small trees that were pushing the fence out at no additional charge. Planning to have them do tree trimming and front yard work this spring.
