They had to stop the water and take off the old hot water heater. They then replaced it with a new energy efficient heater. I wasn't here when they came out to get the work done, but I did pay them for the work done. I am not sure if I would use their services again because they did work in about 3 bedrooms. They said that 2 of my bedrooms needed new commodes and told that they would replace them for $600 each which was an extravagant amount for me. I could have bought it for a lot cheaper price. So, I was very unhappy. They then sent me a card with the wrong first name on it. So, I called them to inform them that there was no one by that name at my address. I then sent it back to them and they sent me another one. I felt that when I spent almost $1000, I didn't want anything to be sent to me with my name misspelt. I would not recommend them to anyone, but they did their job and I felt like I overpaid them. I didn't like the price that they charged me, but I was okay with a part of the $900 that I paid them. I wasn't happy when they came back for the second time to inspect my house again and told me that I needed 2 new commodes. However, I have not replaced them. I have a washroom, a dish washer, sink and another bathroom towards one end of my house. I have 2 more bathrooms towards the other end of the house and it has it's own septic system. I had the plumber who had initially fixed the original 1500 gallon tank come out to connect the small bedroom tank to the big system when I realized that those toilets weren't working. I don't have any problems with any commodes right now. So, I felt that they just wanted to replace it. The quality of their product is good, as the hot water tank is still working and so, I am pleased with their service. They were very responsive, as they called me ahead of time for the inspection. They were prompt and on time as well. The plumber was punctual and professional too. I would probably not use their services in the future because of their price.

The end result was fine but the price was excessive.

We contact Rudd Plumbing to install a new commode we had already purchased, to re-install one taken up for installation of new flooring, to tighten a third at the base and to check a sink that was draining slowly. An appointment was scheduled for within a reasonable amount of time, perhaps the following morning, and the plumber arrived on time. He surveyed the work to be done and then quoted the price, which we eventually paid. He told us that, should he encounter any problems, we would not be charged any additional amount. He did the work as requested, with the exception of the sink that was draining slowly. He did not correct that problem, although he told us the pipes under the sink needed to be replaced. He said we would be charged an additional $57 for them. When he started to install the new commode, a piece was missing from the box which had never been opened. He told me that if I would go to the store where I purchased it and get that piece, he would come back that afternoon and install the commode. He said I should call their office when I got back home with the piece and he would tell them to expect my call. I took off work to accomplish that. When I returned home and called, the female I spoke with was very rude. She told me they could not send someone out to finish the work until the next morning. I told her what the plumber had told me, and explained that I took off work as a result. She finally agreed to send the plumber back out but that it would probably be a couple of hours, which it was, causing me to miss still more time from work. When the plumber finally came, he appeared obviously angry at me and was very unaccommodating. He did complete the work.
