Overall our experience was good... The only issue that I have is that I was told about halfway through the project that the initial estimate was for materials only and did not include the cost of labor... Consequently the final bill for work done was quite a bit more than I had anticipated. The quality of work is very good... Make sure to clarify any initial estimate to make sure everything has been accounted for.

Tony, and his men painted the interior of our home.We are very pleased at the excellent job they did.Tony and his men are very professional.We liked the fact that took their time and done the job right.We also liked the fact how they took extra care to cover every thing in plastic to protect our floors and our furniture,appliances,counter tops.We also liked the fact that his men can be trusted to be alone in your in your home.I left them alone several times to go take to take care of busines.We also liked fact we paid what was in the orignal bid when the job was completed to our satisfaction.

Tony and his crew were extremely professional. Courteous, friendly and the communication was outstanding. We are going to have his company back out for our interior remodel. Tony knows what customer service is. We will and have recommended him to friends. Even my husband was pleased! And that is saying a lot. We have been burned in the past, and so we were gun shy. But, Tony showed us he could be trusted. He said what he did and he did what he said. Woo Hoo we have finally found a GOOD remodel and repair company.

We recently purchased a home that needed some interior painting and ceiling updating, among other minor repairs. I found Tony on Angie's List and he had a lot of good reviews, so I called him out to the house for a bid. As it turns out, there was more work that needed to be done than we realized or could afford all at once. Tony was great and worked with me to get done as much as we could and still stay within our budget. He also gave tips on how to do the other things ourselves that would save us a lot of money. Well, Tony and his guys showed up to start the project and went above and beyond the entire time they were in our home. I made it semi-difficult unintentionally with a bit of a time crunch to get things completed before we moved in. Tony's guys worked long hard hours to get the essentials done before our move in date. We did have some unexpected delays and costs when the ceilings required significantly more than just scraping and painting. Most of the ceilings had to be scraped, primed, retextured, and then painted. But, Tony was upfront and honest about how they could be done correctly and how much additional time and money it would require. His main focus was doing it right and staying as close to our budget as he could, which we greatly appreciated. His guys have now been in our home off and on for several weeks, flexing their schedules around holiday visitors and other repair needs. They have been outstanding and I will (and already have) recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for some help around the house. I will definitely use them in the future for all of our house repair/painting needs.

He came on the promised date, did the work, and contact the bee person to take of my bee problem that I didn't know I had.

We met Toney through our neighbor and after completing work at their home, we contacted him for numerous things to do. The first was repairing and painting 4 French doors, in and out that had water damage. He has presssure washed all our brick and stone on our home and courtyard and has painted the siding and repaired any water damage. Mostly he paints and is an excellent handyman. He has supervised many other jobs like tree trimming and the removal of trees. When asked who we used for our painting and repair, we always recommend Toney. Tony was not only responsive and punctual, but he provided great information, an excellent quote and was able to perform the work we had requested. He was even able to arrange for quote on tree removal. Tony is clearly well-connected and well-known to the other tradesman in the community making him an invaluable contact. I was unable to use Tony for the original job due to a change in plans, but his experience, breadth of services, professional and friendly manner certainly ensure that I will go to him in the future.

Incredible Guy, Great Prices, Great workmanship. I can't describe how nice it is to find someone like Tony Ratliff, owner of Ratliff Painting and Repair. His company name doesn't come close to describing how diverse he is. Having recently bought a 20 year old home whose previous owners didn't know what preventative maintenance was, I was faced with living in a new town and not knowing who to call for help. Fortunately I found Tony on Angie's List and took a chance. Tony did a complete bathroom renovation, including plumbing, electrical, ventilation, painting. He also repaired the living room ceiling that had previously leaked from a tub connection upstairs. Everything was completely transparent and handled professionally. While he doe's contract some of his work out, his contractors are professional, courteous and know that Tony won't allow them to cut corners. Most recently, I was faced with leaving town for a three week training course and discovered two days before that my hot water heater had finally given up. Tony had it fixed and running within a couple hours of calling him. Fast forward to today, I get a call from home to tell me that water is bubbling up in the front yard. I'm a thousand mile from home fearing I had a water main break to the house. Fortunately for me, Tony stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after church and discovered the leak was not a main break but just a leaking valve from my irrigation system. I would never consider calling anyone else first. He will always be my first contact and I trust him completely. If he can't handle it he knows who to contact and who not to. PLEASE GIVE HIM A TRY!!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

We called Tony and he came out for a visit and gave us an estimate. He required a check for 10% of the job (which he never cashed) as a deposit in order to schedule the job. He estimated it would take three weeks before he could get to it; actually took about four. We never had to say anything! His people went about their work and did an outstanding job. No suprises on cost, he stuck to his estimate and the "extras" we wanted were at a very reasonable price. You couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with.

They were punctual and professional. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They moved everything and were very careful with all of our things. They were very respectful and just did an awesome job working on the home. They were professional in their work.

Several holes for light fixtures were cut too big and I had to buy oversize fixtures to cover. Several door jams were split trying to install doorknob hardware, one door was split I stated I had paid for a new door and got no response. Bifold doors were installed so haphazardly they weren't hanging straight and would not close. I eventually had to hire another person to come fix them. Clean up was never done and I still have a considerable amount of scrap stacked in my yard that I'll have to pay someone to haul off. The last time I heard from Tony was two months ago. He had evidently started another job but agreed to call me when he could come back and fix the mistakes. I waited long enough before hiring another person to fix them for him. I had considered calling the BBB but decided he and his workers didn't have the job skills or work ethic to get the job done to my satisfaction anyway. I'm old school, I take a man at his word. If he doesn't keep it I'm through with him. I'll not argue or plead. I'm a disabled vet with the double whammy of having been snake bit with MS. All in all, I feel I was taken advantage of. I'm not a whiner and I'm not vengeful, my experience is stated as fact. See attached pictures....

Wonderful service and quick!! Did not damage the fence and went the extra mile to complete the job!!

He asked what color we wanted when he came out for the estimate. Gave us the paper on site with the quote for $7600. Gave him a small supply deposit and the supplies were delivered 2 days later. His crew showed up the next day and they stripped the old roof. They needed to replace 6 sheets of decking and had it delivered that same day. The nest day they felted the roof and put new shingles and flashing. Then they replaced some rotten boards and painted the new ones and added new boots and cleaned up 3 times! all this for less than quoted!!

Everything went well--used excellent paint with very little to no smell. Very honest crew because I felt very comfortable doing errands and leaving the men alone in the house.

We had a great experience with Tony. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He and the men that worked for him did a thorough repair. Everything looks great and is working properly.

Very high quality work. Highly impressed with the job done. Tony is very friendly. Gave us estimate that it would take a week to a week and a half. Took from 1-19 to 2-10. Some nights his worker(s) were here until 7:15-7:30. If that doesn't doesn't bother you that there are workers at your house during family time, then cool. His crew left our spigot covers off after using our hose each day during winter weather. Other than small issues like these Tony does a great job. Our only issue was the length of time it took based on what he said it would.

Tony Ratliff is the best, most honest workman I've ever used. I trust him completely to tell me the truth about what needs to be done, quote me a fair price, and do the best work possible. He truly cares about doing quality work to my satisfaction. He has been taking care of our house for almost 10 years, and I always want to call him first. He is completely trustworthy. We gave him the key, went out of town, and came home to a perfectly finished paint job with everything put back just as it was. I love Tony and recommend him totally!!!

The quality of the work was very good and it was done in a timely manner.

Tony was prompt in coming to bid on work when called and his bids were accurate. If there would be any change, he was clear about that before work was completed and in any cases, it was perfectly warranted.He is very professional and competent as are helpers he brings onsite. We were very pleased with his work on all projects and would use him again and recommend him to friends.

The job went very well and right on schedule! Tony's crew power washed the deck for 3 days to get all the mold off of it. Then, they came back to tape all the light wood off so they could stain all the charcoal gray areas. Finally, the last 2 days they applied 2 coats of the light stain on the deck. We've had lots of positive comments and are thrilled with the results!
