The movers were on time and with great attitudes! They’ve moved me 3 times in the last 15 years and have always had outstanding service.

Thieves. They move your stuff and then come back to rob you. Beware. The police will corroborate that this company is not to be trusted. Thank goodness for hidden cameras.

The three individuals showed up with the two trucks as planned. Within the first 30 minutes, the police showed up at my house looking for one of the men, and he had to leave with them to resolve an issue. I then had two individuals that continued loading up the trucks. Obviously this change increased the number of hours it took to load my contents. When the trucks were loaded, the 3rd man showed up again and we drove over to my new home. At the new home when unloading they took my beds up and over the banister on the upper level. When they did the first one, I saw them leverage it against the banister can loosen it. I called their attention to it and they shook the banister, it was visibily loose and said "it should have that leway, it's fine". I repeated that it was not that way, and no it wasn't fine. When the work was completed, they gave me the rate. Again I brought up the issue with the banister. They said I would have to work with the owner on that. I also brought up the number of hours it took, since I was down one person. They didn't make any adjustments to the price based on that and told me I could talk to the owner on that too. I contacted the owner the following week. He said he'd send someone out to look at the banister. The person he sent said he had not experience with banisters and didn't want to attempt to fix it. He said he'd report that back to the owner. It has been six months and after repeated calls to the owner, my issue is still unresolved and I have never been reimbursed for being down one person on the job.
Description of Work: I contracted with Mr Ts to load and move my household furniture from one location in Tyler to another. The contract was for 3 people and two trucks at the agreed hourly rate.

TERRIBLE!!!!!!! I cannot say that strong enough. Due to the death of my husband, I had to sell my home and move to Florida to stay with my children. First, they showed up 1 hour late. I was told 4 men would be sent and there were only 3. I was also told they would bring the shrink wrap for no extra charge. They did not have it and had to go get it. Out of the 3 men, only one might have been qualified to do this kind of work. While loading the trailer, one whole stack of boxes toppled over. There were liquids and glass amongst the boxes. They only showed me the two boxes where liquid broke as they had to remove and clean it up. The rest of the damaged boxes were loaded back up and nothing was said. At my destination, part of my belongings went into a home and the majority has gone to storage. While unpacking what was to be put in the home, there were 3 boxes of broken glass such as wine glasses and collectibles. There were also 2 boxes of can goods that were all dented. This was all due to the stack of boxes falling over and they hid all the damage from me. They also damaged a lane cedar chest by putting it on its side and pushing up to the back of the refrigerator. Neither of which they covered. There is damage to both items. The cedar chest has to be refinished. There isn't much I can do to the refrigerator. I am sure there is damage to items in storage as well but I can not get to those right now. They also neglected to get all my belongings into one 28 foot trailer so I had to order another one which cost even more for my move. I have tried contacting and working with Carlos, the owner. It took at least 3 tries to get in touch with him. At first he was listening and seemed to be willing to do the right thing and cover the cost to replace and repair everything. The damages come to well over $600 but I was willing to work with him for a lower price. Which was also a mistake. After a couple of heated conversations, we agreed on a price and Carlos promised to get a check in the mail to me by July 18, 2014. As of August 4, 2014, I still do not have a check. I spoke with Carlos again and he promised to get a check int the mail by the end of day August 4, 2014. I have to say, I did receive my check in the mail on 8/9/14. At least he followed through on that. I still would not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: The movers were to load my belongings from a 3 bedroom home into a 28 foot ABF trailer which would then go to Florida. Originally I was promised 4 men. They arrived 1 hour late and there were only 3 men.

The red flag was when they showed up late with out packing materials and boxes. Originally they were suppose to pack, box, and plastic rap all of our belongings and pack into a moving Pod. I had talked with Me "T" several times and he ashured me that his movers would pack everything and would have all the needed materials. His movers claimed that they did not recieve those instructions therefore was the reason they showed up without packing material. They asked me to go to the store and buy the materials they would need. Which I did. When I brought back the packing materials they just stood around and just listened to music and was talking. My wife and I was fed up at this point and asked then to just load the heavy stuff like couch and the washer and dryer in the POD. When they finished with the heavy stuff I sent them away but the still charged $315 dollars and also wanted to cheat he me for the packing supplies which I had bought. My wife and I ended up packing all of our belongings by ourselves and loading the POD. I will never use Mr T's moving company again. I will spend a little extra and higher professionals.

First of all as the owner I DONT WANT to start by making any excuses and when a customer is allready Mad when we show up there is Nothing that we can do to make them happy. There had to be some type of miscommunication between me and the Customer about packing so thats why we asked the customer to please purchase some materials so we could RESUME!Im sure that in the event that since we was late that something had happened and if so we had called and not just showed up late.As a result we do aim to please all customers and if a customer felt as if they was treated unfair for what service they received I WOULD be more than glad to adjust their bill. That being said Im not God and all things are possible and since there was a Red flag in the Beginning there was a Red flag @ the end! When a customer call numerous companies and get Quotes they also forget what was said to whom they talked to allthough this couldnt have been the situation but as i stated earlier once your mad @ the beginning there is nothing we can do @ the end to make you happy especially if I DONT know!

The men were running just a touch behind, but they did call and let me know they were close. I appreciated that very much. They were fast workers and I was impressed by that as well. But upon unloading, perhaps the speed was not the best. I was moving to a new location, but also had things that were going into storage for a time. I was very specific that I wanted the items for my new place to be closest to the truck door, because they needed to be unloaded first. This did not happen, and therefore made the unloading at the new location more complicated and cost me more money in fuel. Though that did not bother me as much as the damage to several of my items due to poor handling. I have moved many times, and as far as furniture damage, this was the worst. The leg on one of my antique dressers was broken into several bits. A bookshelf had a chunk that broke off. My SS kitchen trashcan was smashed. The front of my fridge was dented and scratched severely. I packed my boxes, so any damage to box contents is my own fault, so I will not comment there. However they did tilt a lot of the boxes, and place them in very precarious places, rather than keep them upright and stable, which is concerning. I have not yet unpacked all of my boxes, to know if that caused damage or not, but it did make me nervous. (I will say that we had a lot of space available in the trucks, so it was not needed to cram things in.) It seems to me that the furniture damage was very poor handling on the moving team's part and they knew they were handling antiques. I provided a TON of furniture pads and asked them to use them generously, but they mostly wanted to use the plastic wrap. The plastic wrap does help some, but if they added a pad under it, that would have prevented more problems. There is no way I could repair the damage for what I paid to hire these men. I am very sad and disappointed. These men are fast and strong. If you don't have things that are of high value and you want an inexpensive team, this is it, but you get what you pay for.

When you say things like you you get what you pay for is so so true! That being said if you wanted things of value to be protected why be CHEAP and RENT A RENTAL truck and not just let a Professional Mover do the job.So @ the end when you have damages your covered.90% of my moves are high end moves and I do have a great reputation !When we load anything on any of my trucks we have everything to secure and protect my Customers belongings! At the same time everything is insured and properly secured, blanked, wrapped, and bolted or tied in to prevent shifting. This is the Luxury of doing a you get what you pay for job! When you rent a Rental truck and not sure what the terrain on the travel is like, your taking a chance do to items shifting because there is no extra equipment thats leased to prevent this. Then when you get to the destination Mr.T is the bad one.As I always say all my teams are GREAT and hard workers and when a customer tries to cut corners always remember the cheap way always is more expensive in the end!

They came on time and had an excellent attitude! They seemed to swing things around but never once it a door frame. Because I was moving every thing into storage, I provided padding for the furniture, which they did NOT use, nor did they use there own. Had plenty for them to cover the boxes so that dust would not be as big of a problem. They took the refrigerator, but did not remove the doors or even leave the doors open which could result in major mold. In the process of correcting this problem, I saw that the boxes were stacked sometimes on unstable serfaces. They attempted to move all the tables with out dismataling them, but I am not sure that was best when it came to maintaining their stability and quality of the furniture. I am holding breath to see if everything survies without breaking and scractes. They used there plastic wrap for everything. I will consider another company when moving in to my home.

This is a situation where if you ask any of my men to dissassemble the furniture or appliances we will be glad to.Then if you worry about storage issues like mold, dust,or insects that's when a climate controlled unit should have been purchased. Our Goal is customer satisfaction and when you go to say you will have another mover move you in your house that's when all I can say is GoodLuck because it's not by Luck were so Blessed to be so busy!We have a very good Reputation in East Texas that's why we come Highly Recommended!

The guys were great, they worked hard and did a great job. I had no problem with the quality of the move. The issue I have is with management. They failed to inform me that they wanted cash payment for the move. They moved me on a Sunday and I found out that they needed $1700+ cash at 10pm that night. They also did not provide an estimate for the job, only hourly rates and mileage. Management did not provide the crew with enough money to fuel the truck for the return trip, expecting cash payment to cover it.At 10pm on Sunday night I could not come up with the cash and had to buy the crew fuel for their truck on my credit card so they could get home. Very frustrating that management would put their crew into such a situation. In a nutshell; crews are great, management stinks.

This job took all day and most the night and this could have been a situation that I failed to tell the customer that it's Cash or Credit only esp. on Sunday. I normally leave it up to my Foreman in charge to make a decision on their judgement on payment if for some reason I don't .A Cashier Check is what I normally suggest .I did give them the ok to accept the check and to deduct the fuel from the bill.Im the Owner and don't make excuses because my 4 crews are honest and great workers and as I said earlier I let my crew leaders make decisions so all my big out of town moves I don't take personal checks !

Solid movers. I have hired them for two moves and although it was longer and more expensive then estimated, they did a good job and were professional. The only hiccup I have experienced is when one of the movers dropped a wood piece from my bed set and it got scratched. He honestly told me what happened and said they can fix it up later. They didn't follow up with it later but it was only a few small scratches no big deal.

It was a difficult move since we moved into an old house which was built in 1929 and so the doorways and everything were not built for modern furniture and appliances. They kept working and figuring things out until they got it so we were very impressed. The house had an L shaped stairway and all the bedrooms were upstairs. They had to move a lot of the stuff up the stairs. They just kept at it; they had to take doors off to get stuff in so they did that and got them back on. They were just persistent on getting us in here. We kept everybody on the crew because they really went above and beyond.

They arrived when expected. They very carefully covered the furniture with quilts and wrapped the quilts with tape and shrink wrap. I called Mr.T's moving company on a holiday weekend and left a message. The owner out on his motorcycle called me back within about 5 minutes. We arranged a time and he told me an estimate of the cost.I was worried he would forget me but Tuesday morning he called and went over my request for service. I really like that he always called me back when I called.Communication is important to prevent problems.Wednesday I called and he returned my call quickly and told me the time the crew would arrive as he was working me in to the schedule as I only had several pieces to move. The crew was great and I could not have asked for a nicer team. They worked well and quickly together and got the job done in under 2 hours. I will definitely call them again when I move.

Very hard to write this review as it pertains to 3 different dates 4/16, 4/21, and 4/23, associated with one move. 2 different move location. One approx 15 miles and the other 3 miles. We did use company to pack household items to be moved.1st date was move of non household items. While not a major issue the movers were approx 1 hour late. Main issue came when actually moving. Truck kept overheating every few miles. Don't know if this was a new problem they had or a reoccurring one as they did have water jugs on the truck to use when they stopped at peoples homes to ask for water. The next week we hired company to pack household items. Since I am an oxygen pt it can be difficult for me to do alot. However prior to their arrival (again late) I had taken all my small kitchen appliances and placed them in paper grocery bags. These were going to be placed in the bed of my truck and moved by me. I had placed these out in the garage. One side of the garage had boxes of items that were not going to be moved. Instructions were given as to what was what,,and what I was going to do with the bags. Instructed packers to finish kitchen, living room and then we could start on the bedrooms. I went to the master bedroom with the 2 dogs and to stay out of the dust that accumulates when moving items that haven't been moved in a long time. After 4 hours the packers informed me they were finished for the day. Then he informed me that since it was a weekend (Sat) I needed to pay them in cash. I told him that nothing was mentioned when hiring packers about paying in cash. He then went outside to call his boss. It's now ok to pay by check. Crew leader stated that they used a total of 17 boxes and I would be charged for them at the time of the move. I was given a bill for $265. and they were paid. I asked the crew leader about how long he thought it would take the movers to finish packing and about how long it would take when they returned Monday for the completion of the move. I was told that we should have everything out and in the new house by noon. Crew leaves only to return and ask for $45 more as he forgot to charge for a "trip charge" Another check was writtenI assumed when I was told there were 17 boxes used that the packers had packed the majority of things in the house. (much had been packed prior to their arrival by other persons) plus given they told me we should be out by noon, I thought all was well. Couldn't be further from the truth. What the packers had "packed" was the grocery bags I had placed all my small kitchen items in. 2 or 3 bags had been placed in 1 box and closed. Large furniture items had been plastic wrapped. Furniture that wasn't going to be moved was wrapped. Things such as my breathing machine were given instructions to leave where they are and do not pack. These items got packed. Monday when the movers arrived (again late) the crew leader of this crew is very upset as the previous crew didn't hardly pack anything and didn't leave but 5 boxes and no blankets. We ended up using the boxes I had left and a few of my blankets. I had to go to the new address since other utility people were due there after 12 noon. Husband remained with crew. It took them 2 trips and about 9 hours to move. When things were almost at a completion at the old house my husband had to leave to go pick up the dogs from the boarding location. Movers were left unattended. Since they were left alone with no one to give an "ok" it is not clear what happened. What we know DID happen is closets were left full untouched. Items such as golf clubs were left, many pots and pans somehow found their way back in the cabinets. We found this out after they had been paid and left when the persons we hired to clean property went to clean. Movers left empty hangers from all the closets they did pack all over the house. Packing trash was left all over. The worse part of the move started unfolding as I started unpacking. ANY appliance that had an electrical cord to it had been removed from the appliance and placed in a box. Matching appliance was placed in a different box or not moved at all. it took me 4 days to find my phone as the receiver, the handset and the power cords had all been placed in 3 different boxes. It has been almost 3 weeks and I still haven't found printer cords, fry daddy cords, plus a couple others. Before they moved the refrigerator I asked the crew leader to please dump the ice in the ice chest. He didn't dump it at all. As a result it thawed in the ice maker lines only to freeze solid when powered back on. Had to have repairman come to house when it quit. This was another cost of course. All total for boxes they said they used 21. I have counted these boxes several times and only come up with a total of 12. The rest are boxes I provided.I have been in contact with Mr Carless several times to complain. He was very apologetic and ask all crews if they knew where certain items that are missing are.One is the instruction booklet to my 1929 Singer Sewing machine. It has a smal drawer (that sticks I might add) in this drawer were the needles still in the original packages, the metal bobbin attachments in original box and the instruction book. I have found the bobbins, the needle package w/o needles and just the cover to the booklet. All in 3 different boxes. there was absolutely no reason these items had to be moved. And since they were, why was I not told where they were moved to.Since we are dealing with 2 different crews it's hard to know where to place the blame. One of the crews had the owners son as crew leader if that tells you anything.I was offerend by the owner to have the men return and unpack items to help me locate missing items. I refused this offer as I figured things would just get more confusing. Then was offered the cost of the packing refunded. I assumed this was going to be the amount I was charged $265, but after almost 3 weeks and more phone calls and text messages I received a check for less than $200.The only reason a rating of F was not given was due to owner offering refund.

When I give a est. its just a estimate. When my men go out to do a job the household owner is the Boss! All being said we only do what were asked to do.I also understand this client is on oxygen and stayed in her room,so the only time she came out was to answer what we had ask her.We did put groceries in boxes because the house keeper had sat the groceries in plastic bags in the garage so my packers boxed them to make it easier to move for the next crew. This was something that I feel made her mad because she had to search for what we had boxed.I also offered to send a crew back out to find whatever she wanted without any charge. She said no so I then tried to satisfy her with a refund of 2 hours which is $170.00.Still not satisfied when I only charged her for 2.5 hours and a local trip charge.I WILL take the blame since there was a closet that my guys didnt know about and didnt pack, for they didnt know every compartment of this house and wasnt showed.I treat every customer very fair and do understand that she was in her breathing room most of the time, and if I new there wasnt gonna be no one giving direction,I would have been there myself. To sum it all up we do satisfy 99% of my customers and the 1% that we dont is sick!

We had a great experience with Mr. T's. They were very prompt and experienced, and very trustworthy as well. We live in a gated community and they don't just let anybody through the gates. Mr. T's Moving and Hauling has gate clearance which tells me I can trust them.
Description of Work: Mr. T's Moving and Hauling helped my husband and I with our move.

love these guys! They always answer the phone, they show up when they say they will, and they call before they start driving to your house. I have used them twice and been very pleased. They may look a little 'rough" but they are gentlemen and do a great job, nothing broken or damaged. I would call them again.
Description of Work: I hired them to move from one area of Lindale to another, then my husband hired them the next year to move from Tyler to Lindale.

Called and reserved the movers about 2 weeks in advance. Talked with the owner of the company. He was very professional and told me exactly how many men he would send, answered all my questions. He gave me a quote. On the day of the move they were supposed to show up at 8:00 am. At 8:45 am I called the owner and he said they were on their way. They showed up about 9:00 am. He had told me on the phone that he would bring 2 men but he actually brought 4. They were very professional. They wrapped everything in pads and secured the pads with moving saran wrap. It took them approximately 2 hours to move wrap a 2 bedroom apartment, load it in a truck, drive to the new house, unload all the furniture, and unwrap all the furniture. Even though they were late, they did a great job. Nothing was broke or damaged and they did not leave any trash for me to clean up. The charge was the same as the quote. I would definately use them again.
Description of Work: Moved a living room including a sofa, loveseat, end tables, coffee table, and entertainment center. Moved a bedrrom including a queen size bed, dresser with mirror, and bureau. Moved about 20 small to medium boxes, a desk, a refrigerator, a king size mattress and box spring with frame, about 6 lamps and a few odds and ends. Started at an upstairs apartment and moved furniture into a house.

They showed up on time and went straight to work - handled all of our furniture very carefully - we have antiques as well as a large gun safe (very heavy) plus the usual refrigerator, etc. We did not have a single item show up at our new house with any damage, scratches, or other marring (that's not an easy task!). They were friendly and helpful and worked very quickly and efficiently! We definitely recommend this company and would certianly use it again ourselves.
Description of Work: Mr. T's moved the furniture from our old home to our new home plus moved all of our things we had in a storage unit.
