I wish I could give this horrible company, Mr. Appliance of East Texas, ZERO stars, but that’s not allowed. I contacted my home warranty company (LHG) on 1/2/2020 about a problem with either my washing machine or the drain in my home. I’m 100% disabled and couldn’t move the machine around to see which one the actual problem was. Mr. Appliance of East Texas(MAET) was assigned the task. The next day, (1/3) MAET contacted me to let me know that it would be the 9th before they would be able to come out to check on the problem. The lady I spoke with talked like I was some sort of irritant she wanted to hurry up and get rid of. She was abrupt, rude, condescending and not willing to listen to my problem. When the tech arrived on Thursday (1/9), in the afternoon, he was professional and went straight to work. He was able to find out that the problem wasn’t the machine, but rather, the drain line was blocked. He said he would contact my home warranty company and tell them they needed to refer the problem to a plumber. I called my home warranty company on Saturday (1/10) and was told they hadn’t heard anything from Mr. Appliance of East Texas. Since they weren’t open over the weekend, I had to wait to call them again on Monday (1/13) and evidently talked to the same lady I spoke to before. She had the same abrupt and rude attitude as before. I also found out that they only communicated via email and nothing was done on the phone and no follow-up was done. When I told her that was a terrible way to do business and I thought MAET was horrible and their business model was a joke. Her answer was; “that’s your opinion.” She’s right, it is my opinion and mine is the one that counts – not hers. She has a job because of opinions of people like me - CUSTOMERS. I strongly suggest that people avoid this company and find another one that is service oriented.

I see we tried calling when we received the dispatch from your home warranty company on Thursday, January 2nd, we were able to speak to you over the phone on Monday, January 6th and the soonest availability at that time was January 9th. My original technician that showed up on the initial visit was no longer with the company when the replacement parts arrived and were ready for installation. The technician that did come out was very polite, professional, and answered all of my questions. He even pointed out the need for new water line hoses in the back from the water source due to a very small drip occurring. My timeframe was between 12:00 and 5:00p. Technician arrived around 3:15p.

Mr. Appliance arrived promptly on the Friday morning following our Thursday service request, texting and emailing a photo of the tech in advance so we would know who to expect. He quickly made friends with our miniature dachshund, diagnosed the problem as a blown temperature fuse, ordered the part, and promised to return on Monday to replace it. The new fuse arrived at our house on Saturday, and the tech arrived with an assistant to pull the oven and replace the fuse Monday morning. The price was exactly as quoted, and the oven works perfectly again.

I loved how this worked out when Chris came back once parts arrived. Chris was not who came first to assess and order parts. The two who came may have been new. They were friendly but had problems with cost Chris quietly saw a problem when I questioned the billing. He had adjusted billing and told me office would email corrected bill. To my delight the bill was $100 reduced. Honesty impressed me.

Took 15 days to have the freezer fixed. $840.00. Tech scratched the inside of the freezer on both sides and the freezer handle. He didn’t put the back panel in the inside of the freezer back the way he found it. Made us wait all day for tech to come because he lived close to us and he didn’t want to drive back to Tyler before going home. Never showed up for the first appointment to repair the freezer. I finally called and all of a sudden there was a dent in the compressor and it had to be reordered. Felt like I was getting the run a round by the girls in the office. I called the corporate office in Waco and complained.

The service man was knowledgeable and nice.
Description of Work: I called Mr. Appliance to come over and hopefully fix my refrigerator. They could not fix it as the service man stated the coils were going bad and losing freon. I gave everything a B, which could just as easily been an A. However, they did not fix the problem, which was no fault of theirs.

The repairman showed up with the part, which was the entire mechanism for the bottom portion of my dishwasher? He told my husband he thought he could take it apart and just fix the part that was broken rather than replacing the whole bottom. My insurance had alradey paid for the entire bottom. So this wasn't being done to save us any money. Well, he tore up another part of my dishwasher in the process of trying to get to the one part, rather than just replacing the entire bottom mechanism. The other part that he broke made the dishwasher not work at all. He had to order more parts, schedule another date to come out. It took him three weeks to get back to us. If he had just installed the entire part that was paid for the first time I would have had a working dishwasher that night instead waiting another three weeks for them to order more parts. Also, when the part did come in they waited another week before coming out and installing it. They were rude to me every time I called to check on the part and when they would be back out. This was an awe full experience. I would never hire them again or recommend them to anyone. In fact I would warn my friends and family to avoid them.

The technician was awesome, but the office staff needs to get their act together. They were supposed to call me to let me know when the part would be in, so the appointment to replace it could be scheduled, and they never called. I had to call them to see what was going on.

11 trips to our home since March and our ice maker was still not fixed. We were getting mixed answers regarding availability of parts and very slow to resolve this matter but there seems to have been some communication gap and lack of response on the part of Kitchenaid. Seems Mr. Appliance was getting a bit of a run around from them and they weren't of much assistance. Andrew did lots of research on his own and seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed!!!). We would certainly call them again but hopefully NOT to have to work on our ice machine! :)

Initial contact was made Thursday, August 14, and an appt was made for the diagnostics test on Monday the 18th. After diagnostics were run, we found out we needed a pump for the washer. Of course, it wasn't in stock. The technician said the part would be here on Wednesday and he would be back on Wednesday or Thursday to install the part. On Wednesday, we got a phone call stating that the part was in and they needed to scheduled a day for installation. Oh too bad, but Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are all booked up by the technician--how about Monday? Well, we didn't have much choice did we? We already paid 100 dollars for the diagnostics evaluation. I guess they could have postponed the installation for another two weeks and we would still be waiting. Judging from the other reviews, I was under the impression that they performed fast service. NOT.
