I have been using maid brigade for about a year. The services are mediocre. FIrst of all, there is a new crew here every week, so you can't request something one week and expect it done the next. Also, you never build trust when new people are constantly in and out. Second, their services are pretty limited to a light surface cleaning. For example, if I leave dirty dishes in the sink, they remove the dishes from the sink, clean the sink, then place the dirty dishes right back in. If I leave a towel on the floor, it stays there. My shower is growing mold; this was never a problem before. My baseboards are dirty and stay that way. My toaster oven may or may not get cleaned. The vacuum cleaner bags are not cleaned or changed enough; they leave a "stale " smell that is not kind to my asthma (this has been resolved by having them use my vacuum, if it is a team that knows to do so). Additionally, I have had my day and time changed several times, despite my repeated requests for first thing in the morning. I don't know the reason behind this, but I can only assume there is a "more important" client who needs that time. There are some pros: they are usually pretty fast - in and out of my 2300 sq foot house in 60-90 minutes. They are polite. The few ladies that I see on a semi-regular basis seem trustworthy. There was one incident where I left my wedding ring and earrings on the floor and one of the ladies (I believe her name is Graciela) hand-delivered them to me - much appreciated. I will continue to use them for now, but I eventually need someone who will clean more deeply.

The services were performed OK. There was nothing special about the cleaning crew. The car was dented and damaged with the company logo peeling off of the car. Nothing special about the work performed and nothing terrible.

Visit #2 - did not dust any of the large furniture or the window sills, missed a cobweb, did not get initial (small) mold spot in master shower. I called and they said they had to send a different team than on visit 1 but would correct the issue by sending the first team back next time. RE the mold, they said their chemicals are green and cannot remove mold, but if we provided our own, they would take care of it. Visit #3 - Dusting was better, but still missed parts. Did not use the cleaner AND special scrubber on a pole (so they didn't have to bend) to clean the mold spot in the master shower. Visit #4 - Did not dust very well at all. Vacuumed up an iPad charger - they left a note saying they were sorry. I called the office and the manager was not aware but offered to reduce next cleaning by cost of charger. Vist #5 - poor job at dusting again and floors looked like they weren't mopped. Again, left out the cleaner and scrubber for the shower, and they didn't use it. Fired them today.
Description of Work: We hired MB to clean our house. The first trip they sent out a team of 2 to clean and it cost over $300. They did a decent job, but not fantastic. We then asked them to com by every two weeks. We wanted those things we don't have time to do - dusting, floors, bathrooms. The house is a two-story house ~ 2,500 sq/ft. All floors downstairs (except master) are stained concrete (easy clean). Over the next three visits they were completely unpredictable. While we have 4 bedrooms, two are not used and we told them to exclude those. So, they were to dust, vacuum, mop, and clean Kitchen, DR, LR, guest bath (just a wash closet) MBed, Mbath (told them to exclude the bathtub as we don't use it), stairs, one bedroom upstairs, bathroom upstairs.

I paid $150 and all they did was mop my house. The original estimate was $90, but they charged me $150. I disputed it with my bank.

We had them scheduled for regular cleaning service. They did an okay job, but broke a light fixture in the bathroom and would not come on the scheduled time. Different people came each time so we could never develop trust to allow them to come when no one was home. We made a special request as far as scheduling times and despite the fact that the office personnell said they could accomodate, they continued to ignore the request and charge our account for coming on a day when no one was home to let them in. We have since found a new cleaning service.

I hired Maid Brigade for biweekly housecleaning and after a lackluster initial visit (that cost a fortune since it was a "first clean") I should have known. The after two months the dust and cobwebs were building up and I pointed this out at the LAST visit. The two person team spent one hour in my 2000 sq ft home and pronounced it finished to my husband and hurried out the door. Cobwebs and dust remain and the Maid Brigade is fired.

We called Maid Brigade to clean the house we were moving into since it had been vacant for about 7 months. The agreement was that they would clean the wood floors, cabinetry, kitchen, bathrooms, and windows including blinds. They were to send out 3 employees, and the charge would be according to time spent. I was somewhat skeptical that they charged by time and not work done, but agreed anyway. They did arrive at approximately the time agreed upon, but my husband and I could not stay to observe their work. When we returned to the house later that night, we found it hard to believe anyone had even been there. And as we moved in we found more and more evidence of things missed. There were cobwebs on windows and under cabinets. There were water stains on the wall in the half bath, and a rust stain on the floor. The jetted tub in the master bath had hair from the previous owner stuck to the intake filter and when I turned it on debris sprayed out. Since I did not feel that the work done even came close to justifying the $305 bill, I sent an email to the office explaining my disappointment and requesting either a partial refund or re-do of service. The employee who emailed back stated that she had spoken with the OWNER of the company, and neither request would be honored. She explained that it is their policy not to "turn on and run" jetted tubs (which doesn't explain the hair on the surface), and that they do not have the "harsh chemicals" required to remove water spots or rust stains. (Harsh chemicals are required to wipe off water spots?) She also said that since they had "accidentally" cleaned the oven which wasn't requested, that this somehow justified the charges incurred. She did not address my complaint about the cobwebs. Since they do not seem willing to resolve a customer complaint with their business, I have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and hope to find resolution through that process.

Children's bathrooms were not throughly clean, began to smell funny. Did not mop all floors. Missed dusting furniture and also vacuuming was spotty.
Description of Work: They were hired for weekly cleaning of our home. For the price paid they were not very thorough, would vacuum around anything left on the carpet... did not make beds if they were unmade, didn't move furniture to vacuum or mop. "Cleaned" a 3800 square foot house in about 1 1/2 hours... paid them $150 per week, felt for the level of work done, should have been half that price.

I was in the process of selling my house and had agreed to have it professionally cleaned before closing. I found a new business in town named "Maid Brigade". It had a catchy name and I figured that it wasn't hard to clean a house so there was no risk. I'm not exactly sure of the price but it was somewhere between $450 and $500 dollars. I was not at home when they did this. I came home later that day and the place was filthy. As far as I could tell, I paid two women a lot of money to vacuum my carpet. The base boards were dirty, the woodwork was dirty, the showers still had soap scum everywhere, the mirrors were dirty, and the ceiling fans had not been touched. I contacted the owner (who was a lawyer in town) and complained. He agreed to come out and take a look. I showed him various examples of poor cleaning. He agreed to have the women come back out and clean the showers, but that was it. I showed him all of he dust on the ceiling fans and he stated that they had been cleaned. I promptly put up a ladder and showed him the impressive collection of dust on the blades. He then stated that his insurance wouldn't allow his workers to stand on ladders. There was no mention of this before we agreed to the deal. The workers returned and repeated the same quality cleaning as the first time. I was disgusted. After repeated attempts to get a refund, the owner (lawyer) came off the price about $100. The new house owner then were upset with me that the house hadn't been cleaned properly. I wouldn't pay "Maid Brigade" a quarter to clean out a fish bowl. They were horrible.
Description of Work: "Maid Brigade" was hired to clean my house and get it completely clean before I sold it. The carpet, wood work, cabinets, showers, toilets, tile flooring, and light fixtures were all supposed to be cleaned. The whole ordeal was a nightmare.

The house cleaners were expected to arrive "about 9:00 or a little before." They arrived at approximately 9:20. Each immediately began cleaning, with obviously assigned tasks, and each seemed to stay busy during the time they were in my home - just under 2 hours. When they were ready to leave, I pointed out they had not cleaned the utility room/half bath. They then did it but had I not been here it would not have been done. Neither the kitchen floor nor the utility room was mopped. The cabinet fronts in the second bath were not cleaned and the light fixtures over the vanities in neither bathroom were even dusted. The mirrors in the bathrooms are streaked and the cheval mirror in the bedroom was only cleaned down the middle. I told them it was not necessary to clean the shower in the master bath as I regularly do so while showering myself. They cleaned it (or rearranged stuff in it) anyway. My house is less than 1800 sq. ft. It was not disorderly or particularly dirty. It required only routine cleaning. The price that had been quoted to me when I scheduled this was $105 to $139, depending on how long it took. I expected the charge would be at the lower end of the price range quoted. When they were ready to leave, the housecleaners presented me with a bill for $139 plus tax that had been printed prior to their arrival at my home.
Description of Work: Bathrooms cleaned, furniture dusted, wall hanging/pictures dusted, interior shutters dusted, window sills dusted, bathroom floors mopped and remaining floors (except for utility room/half bath) vacuuned. I was told my house would be cleaned "from top to bottom."
