Description of Work: They sent an Employee out to repair a scratch on the Facing of Our New Fireplace Insert and paint the screens. The Employee that came out painted Our New Fireplace Facing with a totally different Black and only spot painted that. It is a different Sheen as well. He stated he would have to return with a different paint and to this day they have not. So we have this Ugly Black Spot on the Facing of Our New Fireplace He tried putting the screens back on and totally rethreaded them wrong and they will not close correctly when pulled together. We have asked they fix the Fireplace Facing numerous times or let us hire a professional painter to fix it and they Refuse to take Ownership of their Mistake. I have filed a Complaint with the BBB and asked that the Owner call us and they refused that as well. I have never Dealt with a Business that has Horrible Customer Service as this and I would not recommend them to anyone. They do not own up to their Mistake. They say since the Builder installed the Insert, that the warranty is Voided and that we should talk to the Builder. Our Builder did not Paint the Facing with a Wrong Color Paint their Employee did. Still Unresolved. This has been going on since November.

Made a huge mess of my fireplace door that was working, just needed the insulation band replaced as it was 20 years old and never been replaced. Now we cant use it at all. They took three screws out and lost them tried to put new screws in that were not long enough and the glass was barely hanging in there because the screws were gone that belonged on it. The band was hanging out in the front of the glass and behind the glass and they took two pennies and propped in there between the glass and the bracket to hold the glass in place and left my house. I called them right back and told them that this was not going to work, the job was unprofessional and not completed. The wrong band was brought to fix it and they didnt want to have to come back so they tried to improvise. They came back only to take the pennies out saying "oh I forgot to take those out, was just leaving them in there till the glue dried". Later that evening when my boyfriend came home, he was not happy either. After the guys left after they took the pennies out, I called the Lisa at Light your Fire and she said to email her the pictures of it. So I did. She also said that she was about to be "out of pocket" that she would check her email the first thing in the morning and get back with me. My boyfriend text Kelley Byrd who was the supposed sub contractor/installer and he had nothing but cursing and threats for my boyfriend not in so many words that "he knew it was bad work, but that it was not his problem because he was just the subcontractor that it was Light Your Fire's problem" Funny, Lisa at Light Your Fire said it was Kelley Byrds problem and not theirs". We then called Lisa back again to tell her that his threats asking my boyfriend "to come to his house for a fight", by her contractor was unacceptable. She stated well, "its a he said, she said thing". She stated that Kelley said he did not lose the screws that the screws were gone which is a lie. The stove had never been worked on in 20 years, was working but just needed a new insulation band around the glass. Now its not workable, the glass is barely hanging in there, screws missing and the glass could have fallen out on one of us, or my grandchildren or worse, blown out and burned our house down. To date, 10/23/2013, we have still had no response from Lisa or Kelley, even after stopping payment on their check. To add, its always good to run a background check on the person that comes to your house, and in this case we would definitely suggest it. My boyfriends son who is 21 came in with a new band, (the right one) and fixed it and it looks professionally done. I was out of work a full day, lost $30 for a stop payment on the check and a very unhappy night. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING OR USING THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING AT ALL!!! Not even a purchase because they do not and will not stand behind their products. Kelley was 3 hours late for our repair was here for a total of 45 minutes had to come back a second time, the job still was not done right, we got cursed and threatened and disregarded.

After buying a house with 3 fireplaces that were installed by this company we have consistently called them when problems arose. They are the worst for getting back with us. They have scheduled appointments and not shown up, they have come out to the house to assess a problem and stated that they will return to fix the problem and have not come back, and trying to reach them by phone is impossible. The worst thing about this company is how underhanded they have been when billing us for services that were supposed to be rendered this December. While having a problem with one of our fireplaces, the serviceman came out and looked at it and determined that it was beyond his expertise. He said he would have to have "Wade" contact us about coming out to fix it. He left without even opening the panel to the fireplace. We have not heard from the man since. We have not heard from Wade. We have however heard from a lady in the billing office who is trying to charge us for cleaning services, stating that the man who came out to the house cleaned all three of our fireplaces. He did not. We have tried speaking to the woman and have asked to speak to the service repairman as well as "Wade" but we are denied on all accounts. These people are underhanded and dishonest, and the fireplace in question is subpar in quality.
Description of Work: A fireplace in our home was emitting a terrible smell when we turned it on and the mantle became too hot to even touch when it was in use. One day the glass blew off of the front of the fireplace. They maintained that nothing was wrong with the unit and while they did replace the glass they have not fixed whatever is emitting the strong odor. We refuse to take any chances and do not use the fireplace, making it the most expensive piece of wall art we've ever had. The house is only 2 years old, everything is still under warranty with Light Your Fire. We have asked them out to the house to evaluate the problem on over 6 occasions and the problem remains.

The installation went great. They did everything they were supposed to do and were here when they were supposed to be. I am real pleased with them. They also were very helpful during the fireplace model selection.
