Ended up breaking the service valve and all the freon escaped. Was told almost daily that the part would be in and the unit repaired "tomorrow". 8 days later I called another service company to repair the unit. Was fixed the next morning. I had waited as long as I could in 100 degree weather. To his credit, Ken did reimburse me for the cost of having to get someone else to repair the unit. So I'm giving this rating based on the problems I had, but I am impressed with the fact that in the end he did cover the costs.
Description of Work: Freon low, was to charge unit and add 1 pound of freon.

PLEASE read the entire review because in the end, Ken did take care of this. After the service valve was broke, he told me that he'd have to pick up the new part the next day but would only charge me for the service call and the original Freon that I was going to receive. The next day he told me he was not able to get the part, had to order it, and it would be there the next day (Friday). He didn't call Friday, so I finally called him late. He told me the wrong part came in. This scenario played out for the next 8 days, ordered part, no part, wrong part. We had been without AC for 8 days. He would tell me he was going to call, but then wouldn't. I gave him a deadline of noon Thursday. No call, no show. So I called another service company, got the unit repaired at a total cost of $572 from a service call that should have been about $140. I called Ken, told him what the cost for repairing the unit was and that I wanted him to reimburse me. I expected to have to take this to small claims to get my money back. That Saturday, Ken showed up at my door, apologized for the mix up, and reimbursed the expense that I had in getting my unit repaired. Overall, I was quiet frustrated by the end of this, but the fact that he came through and at least made everything right was a good thing and I appreciated that.
Description of Work: Called Kens air for service on my air conditioner. It was about 1.5 pounds low on Freon. Ken came out and in trying to remove the cap from the service port, he broke the entire service port.
