Description of Work: John Kauffman did a partial kitchen remodel for me and he did a very good job.

Description of Work: I called the number given. It was a Tennessee number even though he is located in Tyler, TX. I left a message about my need for a dryer vent and various other household repairs. Call was never returned. It has been a week.

Description of Work: Mr. Kaufman patched a large hole in the drywall on our living room ceiling. He then blended the texture so that you really have to look for the patch to even notice it. | |He also did tape and texture (knock down) in our bathroom and we were pleased with the price and quality of work. We would recomend him or use him again in the future.

Description of Work: Did whole house remodel. 3 bathrooms and every flooring service in the house. Installed hardwood flooring upstairs and laminate downstairs. Removed a wall dividing kitchen and dining room. Installed several new light fixtures and rebuilt a new staircase from the ground up. Installed new toilets and bath surrounds in all 3 bathrooms and new tile floor in all 3. All work I am incredibly pleased with and the price was very reasonable. Only negative is concrete countertops. Had 1 installed in main bath and in kitchen. Both have cracked and the stain has faded. Also surfaces aren't as smooth as I had hoped. I will live with for a couple of years and get them replaced. But overall very good work for the price and real good guy.

Description of Work: 7/12/2013 called and left a message asking that he return my call to schedule a time to come to my home to see if he would be able to assist with some repairs on my garage. Never received a phone call during all this time. Must be to busy to get back to some one even if it was to say that he was covered up with work.

Description of Work: Repairs were made to a screen porch, fence gates and an installation of a medicine cabinet as well as dry wall repair by Kauffman construction . All the work was done in an excellent manner and I am very pleased.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Kauffman to visit my home and give me an estimate of some home improvements my wife and I had in mind. I called him and he was very prompt in calling back as well as scheduling a time to look at what we wanted to do. He came out as promised and we talked about what was needed. He took measurements and notes and we spoke in detail about what our thoughts were for the changes. He advised he would get back to me with an estimate for the job yet I have still yet to hear back from him! This was over three months ago and not one phone call, e-mail or text with follow up information. So even though I thought Mr. Kauffman was prompt and professional, I was very disappointed with the fact that he and myself took time out of our schedules to talk about theses things without any resolution. I find that to be very odd...anyway I can't comment on his quality of work, only on his inability to prepare an estimate and follow up properly.

Description of Work: He cleaned our gutters and did a good job. He was prompt and timely.

Description of Work: Removed hardwood floor that was water-damaged and replaced all the wood underneathe. Put tile down where the hardwood floor had been and installed a storm door.

Description of Work: I AM SO GLAD I CHOSE JOHN TO DO MY FLOORING, ALWAYS ON TIME AND DID JUST A GREAT JOB. AND THE BEST PART WAS THAT I SAVE 700.00 OVER WHAT LOWES WAS GOING TO CHARGE. I WILL FOR SURE USE HIS COMPANY AGAIN

Description of Work: Mr. Kauffman has worked on several projects on our home. His work has been thorough on each project. He has hung facia and soffit metal trim on all exterior areas. He installed attic insulation, and provided consultation on other areas of insulation. He removed a back door and hung a new one, and worked to repair some minor plumbing problems in a hall bathroom. In the next few weeks, we have scheduled with Mr. Kauffman work to repair flooring and install ceramic tile in the kitchen, hang a new fiberglass front door, and to replace fixture for outside waterhose connection.

Description of Work: A person from Kauffman Construction came out and gave us an estimate 2 weeks ago for a pretty big job. It was for the whole front of our house. Our porch is pulling away from our house, so we have some attic damage. We haven't scheduled a time yet for the repairs.

Description of Work: Mr. Kaufman repaired an extra wide front door with side-lights that had rotted at the base and sill. He had to rebuild the complete door frame because the house had settled placing the hinges at an angle that would cause the door to stick. He rebuilt the frame, repaired rotten trim and replaced the door sill. He removed the whole unit to see if any of the house base framing had rotted and repaired all that he discovered. He also sealed any and all areas around the door opening to prevent leakage of rain that had stained the house frame under the vinyl siding. He finished by painting all trim. He did all that I asked and more. His price was 10% less than the final cost. I added the extra $40 for his time and professionalism. I will use him again for any other repair or renewal work that we shall require.

Description of Work: I got an estimate from Kauffman Construction to build my house that had gotten wiped off as a result of the tornado. The estimate was for the roof, ceilings, floors, walls, barn and everything else.

Description of Work: Had all the metal roofing screws replaced on the house. The spare bedroom had ceiling damage that had to be fixed. also had some work done in the 2nd bathroom, removing an old urinal that had been there since the house was built.

Description of Work: I own a log cabin. The second story needed the wood re-stained. Kauffman Construction was punctual and got the job done promptly. The charges for their services were very reasonable. They were very friendly and professional.
