This review involves the set up of the installation of carpet at Home Depot for our home, not the actual install from the contractor. This review is about Home Depot. We wanted to order carpet to be installed. Went to Home Depot #6514, Tyler, TX. The first employee I approached for carpet samples, Halina, did not know how to btain the samples I wanted. (they were not in the store.) She actually did not even try with her computer. I left. Later in the year on 08/26/2015, I asked another employee, Bill how to obtain the carpet samples. There was a special for reduced install carpet costs and also for 3 free 8"x8" samples at this time. He did not know anything about the free sample offer and he could not figure out how to order the samples on the Home Depot website. He then became rude and abrupt and passed me off to another employee, Chris Clinton. While Chris was polite, he also could not figure out how to order the samples online that I needed. I went home, got on the same Home Depot website and discovered for myself how to order the samples that I needed. I had to pay for them though, because the employees did not know how to get the free samples for me. Fine. Ordered the carpet. Measuring service was fine. Contractor was good. Carpet installed. Looks great. The complaint here is about the 3 employees at the store who did not know how to complete the most BASIC task on their own website. How to order or get carpet samples for customers. People cannot choose carpet from a picture online or a sample at the store which is under different lighting and the sizes of which were about 1/2" wide by 2" long. Also, sadly, Bill was rude and abrupt with us. I DO NOT recommend going to Home Depot in Tyler, TX for flooring. The skills and service are lacking, especially computer skills. This is the second time we have ordered flooring/installation at a Home Depot. The first time was in Pasadena, TX and even worse. We have learned our lesson and will shop elsewhere for projects such as this. When I contacted Home Depot's main number, they would not or could not provide me with a physical mailing address so that I could let corporate know of this issue. That, in my opinion reflects poorly on Home Depot's concern for customer feedback. Thx.

On 11/15/2012, our new dishwasher was delivered. However, the delivery man said that there was an "elbow" missing and that he could not install and had to order one. Rescheduled for Saturday, November 24, before noon, as we were leaving town. No one showed by the time we had to leave, and no one was at Home Depot. Nobody answered the 866 number provided to get in touch with driver. A flyer was left on our door where they showed up at 3:30, 3 hours late. Afternoon of 11/27, multiple unanswered phone calls and emails, and still no dishwasher installed. We did however find out that all the parts needed to install are with the dishwasher!! We not only paid Home Depot for Dishwasher and installation, but now are paying an individual to install for us!
