Creative Order & Design has been in business since 2005. Rebecca Hicks is the sole owner and has worked hard to earn her certifications as a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO), Senior Move Manager, Certified Relocation Transition Specialist (CRTS), Creative Order & Design's team of professional sub-contractors are able to organize any room in your home or small office. We work with our clients to create systems to make thier lives work easier, more efficiently and better. We teach our clients the systems as we work together so they can keep them up after our team is gone. During the initial consultation, we assess the scope of the project, create an action plan and determine how much time and how many people will be needed for the project. The client will have a very good understanging of the cost to get organized by the end of the consultation. Let us fulfill your hope of restoring daily organized peace! We also specialize in working with Senior Citizens in any area that they need. We're certified to help them relocate to another home, apartment or retirement community. In addition, we will help them with any honey do's they need from decorating, to hanging pictures, to running errands or personal shopping. Let us help you move to the next stage of life! Creative Order & Design also offers home staging for the realtor, builder or home owner of occupied homes. Staged homes show better and sell faster, and usually for a higher profit! In addition to home staging, we help many clients with decorating their homes, especially when their budgets do not allow for the cost of an interior designer. We charge by the hour instead of a set commission. We decorate homes to live in and we stage them to sell! Creative Order & Design charges by the hour for the consultations and labor for projects. Classes and speaking engagements are charged per event. Travel expenses for speaking engagements must be provided for before the event. Trip charges (by the mile) apply for all projects outside of the Tyler area. Creative Order & Design is proud to be a faith based business in the East Texas community. It is the best looking garage in all of Tyler maybe in Texas !!! The flooring was installed and looks wonderful. I love the cabinets and organization. Even my Christmas tree has its own bag!!!
Description of Work: applied floor coating to garage, installed Gladiator cabinets and organized, organized a peg board in garage.

Lorrie and her team are great. I was not available to open and close my home for real estate showings. They stepped in and helped me out and made my life so much easier. I felt totally at ease with them in my home. They had wonderful suggestions and advice to help my home show what a wonderful and beautiful home it is but they were never pushy or made me feel uncomfortable with the choices I made. They charge by the hour for the jobs they do and are very reasonable. Money well spent!
Description of Work: Advise and stage home for showings on the real estate market. Open and close home for each showing when I was not available to do this myself.

Description of Work: Helped me go through boxes, consolidated some boxes, discarded other boxes, put pictures on the wall, labeled containers and put them in storage closet on balcony, and in closets. They also made suggestions about a bookcase which was on sale and I bought.

Lori knows what you can live without and what you can't and she will never pressure you. She will give advice and she will contribute all the help that you want. So many times, we hang onto things that we know we don't need to. She is able to help with this in a way that makes it easier to let go.
Description of Work: Lori presented me with a written proposal as to what I need to do to get my home "sell ready". I have a check list and I can complete the tasks myself or I can enlist Lori and/or her team to help with the tasks. I have used Lori in the past to organize my closets and I could not believe that she could make such a difference in them. I have also referred several elderly people to her that needed to move from their homes into assisted living and she took over and did everything that they needed. They all said that they could not have done it without her. There just aren't words to describe how much she can help those that just don't know where to turn and think that it is all up to them.

I entered a room makeover contest offered by Creative Order & Design. My entry: My home and my heart need your help. The room pictured was once a bedroom. It was transformed into a place for ‘excess’ items I need for my in-home business, and initially most of those items fit into the closet. Then I added a treadmill (which will stay). On November 11, 2008, my precious mother died, and I brought all of her things to my house. Some of them were ‘deposited’ onto the floor of this room. The intent was to go through the items and take action on what to do with them; however, the first bag of items from her dresser drawer included 2 letters written by my grandmother that said “To My Children when I’m gone.” Of course I couldn’t resist reading them, but the discovery of those letters stopped me in my tracks. I haven’t been able to tackle the room again, and would love some help! Having this room ‘in order’ would be a burden lifted and I’d no longer have a door in my home that I warn guests to leave closed or “I’ll have to kill you.” (That IS meant in jest, but I WOULD be upset if they saw my MESS!) Thank you for considering my room when selecting the winner of your PRIORITIZE & ORGANIZE 2010 CONTEST! I WON!! I was responsible for storage containers only. The organizers donated their time! What would have been an OVERWHELMING experience for me was a JOY. Lorrie stood beside me as I sorted through Mother's personal items. She was a ROCK. I have recommended the services of Creative Order & Design to others AND have consulted now with Lorrie on ways to 'freshen up' our home.
Description of Work: I had a meeting with the owner, Lorrie Gazette, to talk about the room to be organized and what my vision was for the room. She assessed the needs, and a team of organizers came the next day. They removed everything from the designated room, sorted all the items, took at least 7 bags to a donation center, disposed of all to be thrown away and rearranged the large pieces in the room. Then all the small items were put into appropriate containers, labeled and put away in an orderly manner. They helped me 'repurpose' some items and showcase prized possessions. The room is like a sanctuary now. Lorrie's team accomplished exactly what I wanted and MORE by establishing a exercise area, a 'craft' area, a gift-wrapping station, and storage that is usable! If all of THAT wasn't enough, The team also de-cluttered and organized a hall closet where additional similar items were stored as a 'bonus!'
