I returned home at 6pm on a Saturday evening just to discover my AC was out... my house was 80 degrees! My outside unit was not working. You gotta be kidding!! So I called C. Woods Air conditioning and Plumbing Co out of Tyler... the answering service answered immediately... the on-call service tech called me back within 5 minutes.. his location was an hour away from me and he was here in one hour and ten minutes. Not only was he very knowledgeable and professional, but he quickly calmed my anxiety by assuring me my home was going to be cool again before he left. And that, it was! Thank You Jamey!!! By the way, my cost of $324.00 also included the purchase of a yearly maintenance agreement. And with that, they will come twice a year, spring and fall, to perform inspection and maintenance of your system. Also, it includes a yearly inspection of my entire plumbing system... Jamey said they will be calling me this week to schedule that. And.. should it be needed, I get 15% off any and all parts and servce from here on out. He also left me a brand new filter for my next change (smiles..)

The guy that they have Patrick is terrific. They are expensive. They did good. Patrick did real good work. He was the star of the show. I could work with him real well. But after he left, he had to move I just stopped then when they came over. They threw figures around like you were playing Monopoly. They charged a lot of money. I asked them to estimate some jobs and they were just high. I did have a good experience with them, it was good. It was a good experience. They were prompt, they did the work. I had no hassle. I really had no problem. After that fellow left it just went down hill. The guy would come over and he was just wasn't the same level that Patrick was. They had to go look here, look there and test this and test that, which is all good. But the other guy knew just where to go and what to do. A matter of experience. I went to buy a filter from them for the furnace and they were like $55 each. I said wow that's a little on the high side.

Toilet stopped up late Friday night. At eight Saturday morning I alled to get an appointment. The plumber calles me back within the hour and was out an hour later. He had to pull the toilet and run an auger down the drain. He couldn't find the glog. He checked the septic tank and said I should call a septic tank person. While I was doing that he kept working on the problem. He tried his larger auger and ended up clearing the clog. He was a professional and refused to give up. He got the job done in two hours. We really appreciated him.

the service man was very professional and friendly. He removed the old heater and installed the new one in a short time frame. He cleaned up completely and clearly explained proper operation, maintenance, and safety precautions for the new heater.

After the $$$ shock wore off. They were the best value for the money. Everything was accomplished in a timely manner. The crew were courteous and professional. They stated that the new unit was very operationally cost effective and true to that statement our electric bill was cut in half.

That was $230. I then paid for a yr contract $144, with that they come twice a year to inspect the plumbing, heating and air conditioner in the summer. If anything needs repair, or product added that is an extra charge.

Jeremy came out from C Woods to work on the problem I was still experiencing with septic backing up into the house even after I had the tank pumped. They came out an rand a snake device down the drain again, but this time 30 feet. I had thought that the tank that was being used was the right tank, but it turned out that the only part of the house using that tank was the second story. They put the dirt back over the tank and charged me $300 dollars for labor. The folks from C Woods were very pleasant, but the problem remained. I now had to try to find the other tank myself. With the previous owner's help, I was able to get the location and find it. All together I have paid C Woods over $538 dollars. They did unstop a plugged drain, but the main problem remained. After I finally located the other tank and had it pumped, I hired "Sanders Septic and Backhoe" and they came out, found the problem and fixed the problem and it only costs me a little over $200 dollars. I will use them from now on with anything associated with the septic tanks and the plumbing related issues of this nature. They install these types of systems as well as aerobic systems professionally. I was very pleased with their work. The problem was found and fixed. The problem was a thin wall pipe that was installed in systems several years ago. It had cracked and split not allowing all of the drainage to get to the tank. They replaced the pipe. In addition, the input to the tank was partially blocked and tree roots had gotten into the pipe and was starting to grow in the pipe toward the house. They took care of all of that. The plumbing seems to be working well now.

Jeremy came in and I reviewed the problems with him I was having for 2 bathrooms that seemed to be tied together. If I flushed one toilet in one bathroom, sometimes the toilet in the other would bubble. The same would happen if I ran the water faucet in the sink. The drain to the master shower was plugged and would not drain at all. Jeremy took a snake and ran it down the drain in the master shower for about 10 to 12 feet and cleaned out a considerable amount of hair. The drain now runs clean. He also suggested we might have a venting problem, but we could not located access to attic to get to the vent to see where the vent pipes are since these baths both vent into the attic. I am going to try to find out where the access is from the man that did the house inspection when we bought this house and see what can be done if we see any other significant problem. But I was very pleased with the work done and how fast it was done. Jeremy put down a rug in the shower area to try to keep the area clean. Not only was he on-time, he was ahead of time. I will use their service again should I need it and I would recommend them.

Called on Sunday around noon and the guy at the answering service was very professional and informative. The plumber called me back about an hour later and told me that I would be 3rd in line and he would get to me as fast as possible. He called before coming and arrived promptly. Very friendly and professional. He took a few minutes to troubleshoot the problem and had everything he needed on his truck to make it work. He was in and out in 30 minutes and only charged me for 1/2 hour labor! This could have easily been a $300 job but it was about half of that. I would be glad to recommend them to a friend or neighbor, and will not hesitate to call them for future needs. A+

,They brought a new water heater with them drained the old water heater, removed it, put down a new pan, and installed the new water heater with flexible piping. They came when they said they would, did the work courteously for the amount quoted, and cleaned up on the way out.

It didn't go at all. They were supposed to be out at 4 PM. I didn't expect them to be out exactly then, but I did expect them to show up sometime or at least call to let me know they were not going to make it. Nope, that would make it too easy on me. I called this morning to find out what was going on. I was told the scheduler was on the phone and would call me back. After half an hour, still no call, so I called and cancelled. Found out a neighbor had a shut off tool, which was the one thing I didn't have to do what needed to be done. Seven minutes, and one washer later, had the problem solved and save myself the $75 service charge. I had used them one two other times was great success, not sure what the problem was this time.

There were ants that had gotten into my contacts on my outdoor AC compressor. I think just cleaning the contacts would have sufficed, but I was charged for the replacement, as well as a significant service call fee.

I had a toilet running and then shutting off, so I called the company and they promised a guy the next day. As usual, someone came right out as promised. Polite plumber looked at it and quoted $200; I told him it was only $150 when they were here on another toilet a year ago, but he said that was the price. Since he was here, I went ahead and had him do the repair. He replaced the flush valve and the seal. He was neat and solved the problem in 15 minutes. The only problem I have I have is the price. The parts are about $15, so $180+ in labor is ridiculous. I will find another plumber.

Technicians arrived on time, even called before-hand . They made sure that what I needed and what they envisioned were the same and then quoted me the cost. They left to collect parts and returned to finish the job. This was a job that required crawling up under the house and getting very dirty. It just so happened to be VERY muggy. They didn't hesitate. They dove right in and busted the job out. They even found a better way to run the line that saved me some money...HUGE pluse. If you can get Jeremy and Josh, do it.

The City of Tyler knocked on my door at approximately 1:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning to tell me I had a "private leak." They turned off my water and told me I would have to have a plumber repair it. I looked through all the plumbers listed on Angie's List, and I chose C. Wods based partly on the reviews and partly on the fact that they have weekend hours. I called that Sunday morning shortly before opening time (8:00 a.m.), and the plumber, Donald, was here by 10:45. The City representative told me I had a broken pipe, but Donald found that it was really a backflow valve for my sprinkler system. Donald was able to turn the water back on so that I had water in the house, but none to the sprinkler system; I didn't care about that, since I don't generally run the sprinkler system in the winter months. Donald did not have the part he needed on his truck, so he told me he would have to go get the part and the permits on Monday, and he would come back to fix it. He told me the part was expensive and that the company has a financing plan. Donald came back on Monday, and my sprinkler system was fixed by noon. It was expensive -- $950. Since I have no idea how long my water was running prior to the City shutting it off, I am not looking forward to getting my next water bill.

Heating / AC Tech. arrived at my house as scheduled . Service provided was for my annual inspection and general check up of both units. After the service was completed the Service Tech informed me of the conditions of each unit. One was running as designed, the second one used for the main house was running as designed. But some improvement to the duct system could or should be though about to increase heating and cooling performance. Need at lease two more Return air ducts which would help cool an dheat the entire house better. Meaning unit running time would be reduced. I was never pressured to do anything I was given a phone number to call if I decided to have the system used in the house looked at for what is needed an Est. of cost would be made at that time. Again never pressured to decided at that time nor even after the inspection was carried out.

When I came home I was surprised to find that he had left us a pile of broken filthy parts thrown in the bottom of the bathtub. He told my wife when he left the parts I got were wrong and had broken the handles taking them apart. So I went from a leaking bathtub to no bathtub. He left us a quote for $1,275 to fix the problem. I was very upset because I asked him to call if if there were any problems. I called them immediately and asked for someone else to come back. In 15 minutes I had the correct kit. Someone else showed up later that night and said they could not get the seats out but could change the rest of the parts but it would still leak. I had them do that. He said the quote for $1,275 was to go through the wall to change the seats. He then left. The next day I called another plumber and he charged me $90 to change the seats and fix my problem. Needless to say this was a very bad experience. Spent $335 for a couple hours of bad work.

We saw an ad for C. Woods to come and inspect our furnace for $49.95, so I called and had them do the inspection. They checked it out, charged only what was advertised and did not try to "upsell" anything. We felt confident about turning on our heater once the weather got cold, and would call them again if needed.

We discovered water on the floor around our hot water heater, the pan underneath the water heater overflowing from a leak coming out of the top of the water heater. This was around 7:30 A.M. After turning off the water and starting to mop up, we consulted Angie's List and saw excellent reviews on C. Woods' Plumbing, so we called them. Even though they are located 25 miles away, someone was here in about 3 hours. After showing us different options on water heaters, we selected one and it was delivered about an hour and half to 2 hours later! Two employees installed it and took the old one away. Later that evening (unfortunately!), while replacing some of the attic insulation that was removed in efforts to dry out the bottom of a wall where the leak had been, a pipe coupling was bumped and the PVC there cracked. We called the company, which stays open 24 hours, and another individual was here in about an hour, replaced the damaged coupling in no time. They were VERY GOOD.

It seem the same ole stroy everyone in for the money to make, they are the best of the bussiness and the other are not.

He turned the faucet and said nothing was wrong with it. I ended up having the faucet replaced by another company, as there was a problem. I was shocked by the price of the call when no work was performed.

Their dispatcher called me and said she had a tech that could come right away. I live about 30-45 minutes from their facilities and he was at my home in less than an hour. The tech was very professionally dressed in Khaki pants and wearing a red Polo style shirt with the C Woods logo. I showed him the problem and left him to his work and told him where I would be if he needed me or had any questions. About 20 minutes later, he came into my home office and told me my problem was fixed, told me how he had fixed the problem, had a suggestion on how I might keep the problem from recurring and then shocked me by asking if there were any other plumbing concerns he could look at for me. I showed him a few other concerns I had. One was more of a design limitation on a 50 year old plumbing system, one he took care of as a freebie in about 5 minutes and the other he suggested I purchase a new faucet from a plumbing distributor and made some brand recommendations and explained why I might want to buy one brand over another. He said they would be happy to come out and install it for me. He was quiet, very professional and was a great ambassador for his company. The service was a little more expensive than I might have paid in the past, but I won't hesitate to pay for superior service and that's exactly what I got.

I used them because I had used them before for maintenance. I would not grade them too good for the overall experience. The service man was good but the communication with them was not good.

An ancient built-in gas grill collapsed by my back patio last night, so this morning I called the gas company, Centerpoint. The first rep said they would take care of it for me, and instructed me to tell the 2nd rep that I needed the gas line capped off. However, the next Centerpoint rep was very brusque, said it had nothing to do with them and I would need to get a licensed plumber to cap off the gas line, which was located on the gas meter. I chose C Woods off Angie's List due to good reviews. Kenny came out same day and capped off & removed the gas line and the heavy grill. Kenny was very friendly and helpful and completed the work very quickly. I would definitely call them again.

C Woods Plumbing came right away and then he had to go back to town and buy everything. Then he came back after lunch and put it all in. He was done early. We will use them again.
