The first time the refinisher came out, he did a complete refinish of the door. He was there for quite a while and the door had to stay open most of the day. So the best time to do this would be spring or fall. Now he comes back just to maintain the finish. The door always looks beautiful. I love the fact that they just come on a regular basis to maintain the door and I don't even have to call. They just come and do their thing and leave the bill by the door. Everyone I've dealt with has been friendly, helpful and very professional. I would definitely recommend them.

This is the 3rd time we've used The Door Refinishing Company. They are clear in what they are going to do, show up on time and get it done. The door, which gets a lot of afternoon sun looks great.

This is one of the best service people I have ever met. He was so friendly, polite and took pride in his work. He was right on time (actually early because I could see him sitting in his car on the street for about 20 mins before the appt time). My three kids and I were entranced by the process of door refinishing. Who knew how cool it is?! So, randomly throughout the couple hours we'd just stand around and watch. He's meticulous and takes his time throughout every step. He was sweet with my kids, kept the area clean and was as quiet as he could be. He talked about how he loves doing a really good job for people and walking away with that satisfaction. I was so impressed. Especially after the shoddy work we typically get done. Afterwards our door looked brand new and beautiful. It's amazing what a difference it makes when I walk up to my house. I get excited! I immediately went out and bought a new wreath and door mat. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I will be doing the maintenance program every 6 mos with this company.

The owner did the work exactly as promised in the ad on the Angie's List website. He arrived promptly at 8:00am and got right to work. He was very honest about what he could and could not do, but even he seemed surprised at how well it turned out! I love it! Wish I had done it ages ago.

I called to have my door refinished - thinking that is what I needed. When the technician arrived - and he arrived early (which was great for me) - he told me that I didn't need a total refinish. He simply did a routine maintenance on the front door, saving me money. Overall, service was excellent! I highly recommend.

This was the 2nd time I had them refinish my door. The first time was back in June of 2001 ( I waited way too long to have this redone), and they still had me in their files. I had a coupon for $50 off-so my price was a little discounted-plus I think a got a bit of a discount for being a repeat customer. You can't beat that! For the cost-they are right around the prices of any other door refinisher. Most people balk at the price of having this done-but when you factor in the amount of time it takes to manually do 1 door (about 8 hours) and the materials involved, plus the beautiful outcome, it is well worth it. The father did the job the first time, his daughter the second. Both were equally friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone-and will be using them again myself.

Fine. Removed doors, and fixed any insulation gaps, as well as provide options for fixing items with pros and cons

It was only one person who came out to do it, but she did an excellent job. She was very knowledgeable and took her time to answer all the questions that I had. She explained to me what she was going to do and how long it was going to take. She really worked very hard in doing it. The door looked great afterwards. She told me that they have a touch-up service and they would come back approximately every six months and just do a touch-up to try and keep the door looking good. I signed up for that.

I used them a long time ago and they still come back twice a year. The quality of the work is an A. They are pricey, but do good work.

They did the initial thing. They were on time when they said they were going to be. They completed what they told me what it’s going to be. They worked correctly and it was good. The last time they came, they checked the door. All in all, they were committed on what they do. They did an expert service. I already recommended them to somebody. What they are telling on the internet is true.

The door looks great and am quite please with the service. My only "complaint" was the lag time between the estimate and getting the work performed. Just means that this company is busy.

Dawn was very helpful when I placed the order. Prompt in setting an appointment to perform the work and puctual on the day of the job. The workman, Don, was very friendly and professional. He explained exactly what he was going to do and how he would proceed. Gave several helpful tips about exterior doors and their upkeep. Came with all of the tools he needed and finished the job in exactly the time he estimated. finished product looks great. Would use this company again and highly recommend to anyone. Cost was exactly as quoted.

The first door refinishing from this company was provided for by our home builder 1 yr after the house was built. They did a great job, so I set up a maintenance contract to have the front doors (double wood doors) refinished every 18 mo. They did the second refinishing in 4/2012 and will be here again later this year. The work I have done is only on the outside of the doors, so you don't have to be home to meet them. I just came home from work to find sparkling doors that looked like new! They did a fantastic job, and I plan to continue to use them.

Contacted the company and asked for an estimate. After the estimate was given, I agreed to the services. The staff was professional and courteous. The technician, Becky, arrived on the designated day and explained the process of restoring the door. She was very professional. The door restoration was completed in about six hours. The door looks great and am quite please with the service.

I was considering another company to refinish our doors but greatly appreciated The Door Refinishing Company's professionalism. They arrived when they said they would and completed the doors within the time frame specified. We were very happy with their service and will definitely use them again.

They refinished the exterior of the front doors on our home.The home was built in 1977 and we bought it in 1981. The finish on the doors when we bought it was a dark stain. Now we have beautiful wood doors that were brought back to the intended finish when they were new. I in our opinion they performed miraculous work on doors that we were told needed to be replaced.

Contacted provider for pricing and details on refinishing our front door. They were not available the day I called but did return my call when they returned to the office. Gave a quote over the phone and schedule the work. Arrived on time - and even though the weather was not the best they made adjustments and started the work on schedule. The technician isolated the work area from the rest of the house, went about her work without interrupting us and gave us periodic updates on her progress. At the end of the day - 8 hours as scheduled - we had our beautiful new finish! We could not be more pleased. We received instructions on when we could close the door and how to care for the finish. We were told that due to the exposure to the sun we would probably need to refinish in a few years. We are Ok with that and will use this excellent company again.

Great Experience. . . . starting with the 'phone call to set up the appointment to the completion of the service. Showed up on time, explained the process, kept the area neat and clean. I've never worked with a company who put as much emphasis on: (1) informing you of exactly what they were going to do, (2) making sure you were completely happy with the work completed, and (3) informing you of how to best care for your door. On top of it all . . . . the door is BEAUTIFUL!!

We found them on Angie's List. I thought their price was ok, but I don't have anything to compare that to.
