Description of Work: I was told that they didn't repair doors (even though under their work details says that they do) but that a man named "Les" who used to work for them did this type of work. I got his number and called him. The phone was answered by "The Door Refinishing Company". I left a message and I was never called back.

Description of Work: I used this service some time ago and I cannot remember the date or the exact cost. I also gave the service evaluation form at that time.

Description of Work: Sanded and put on a marine grade varnish on set of double front doors. They were on time and very professional.

Description of Work: They were suppose to put weather stripping around a door but could not do it. My door has copper stripping and they only use rubber.

Description of Work: Arrived at the address early, ready to go. Was very well organized, very methodical and experienced. Excellent explanations on what was being done as well as the requirements to allow the door's new finish to cure properly. Cleanup was thorough and no dust, residue or trash was left after the job. The work was completed exactly as quoted. All my questions were answered completely. Overall excellent work, the front door looks new again.

Description of Work: Refinished two over-sized front doors. Previous finishing job was done incorrectly, so it made for a more difficult re-do. But Matt, the technician, was very thorough. He came back and re-did both doors after he came by to check the finished product and was not totally satisfied with the outcome. He was punctual and very tidy; the whole experience from the first phone call till the final cleanup was exemplary and everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Plus, I got a 10% Angie's List discount!

Description of Work: The Angie's List website keeps asking me to review these folks eventhough I have not started the work yet. I will say they answered the phone courteously and he took time to listen to my job. it is essentially several dozen exterior doors (new orleans style architecture); so far so good eventhough we haven't gotten to the job stage (or even definitely selected this team).

Description of Work: The guy can by on time as scheduled. He looked at the work and left an estimate on a scratch piece of paper (very unprofessional). I called him and left a message for him to call me back to set a date to do the work. Never heard from him again. I guess he was more selective of his customers than I was of the my contractor. He had a great rating, which I now question.

Description of Work: Matt answered my call with accuracy and professionalism when I called. Les came out in a few days to assess the work needed (refinishing the mahogany front door) and came back three days later to do the work which he deemed was "maintenance" (that is,cleaning and wiping down with mineral spirits, repairing the crack, and one coat of varnish) rather than a complete refinishing job. He suggested that a second maintenance in 6 months and thereafter a yearly maintenance. I was thrilled with the attention to detail and the professionalism of the work and would recommend this company to anyone who has a real wood varnished front door that needs help. Incidentally, I have a 25-year old solid mahogany door which is brutally beaten by facing the westward sun. The company has returned to do the yearly maintenance work (and fix a crack) in 2011 and I have the handsomest doors in the neighborhood.
