"Mrs Valuable [Member Information Removed], we didn't get a call from you concerning the sink leaking. This sink was reset on May 25th of this year. When your handy man installed the glass sink, he failed to align the sink with the original plumbing which is why the flexible p-trap option was used. Also he pinched the rubber gaskets when over tightening the drain. These gaskets comes with the drain that is supplied with the glass sink and are not standard. That is probably what has started to drip. If you would have called us we would have been glad to come out, assess the situation as to our work or new work, likely get the part # for the gasket and order that part. Even though we were not at fault for the damage that occurred when he installed it originally , we would have made the repair as part of the warranty. The original installation was performed by your handyman or friend trying to help save you money. We were forced to redo the chrome drain on the sink because it was leaking and that is when we discovered the pinched gasket. We were able to reinstall the gasket and checked for any leakage, and there no leaks at that time I wish you had given us a chance to make the repairs before this escalated to the point of your being angered and calling someone a crook. We can't fix something if we dont know it's broken. We have very lttle or no warranty issues but when we do we validate them as quick as possible. Customers are important to us and quality work is our standard. As far as the 29. ANGIE'S LIST, you were given 50 dollars off the original price even though you did not choose to purchase it. "I hate you feel that way Mrs [Member Name Removed]. I know it's hard when you buy yourself a new home and find out the cosmetics look great with new faceplates but they actually left the old fixtures and piping in the wall that was original to the home. I would be a little aggrivated as well knowing i just spent alot of money on a remodeled home and still have alot off the original plumbing everywhere that just was covered up so noone could see it. Its a shame but this happens alot. My advice to anyone buying an older home is to is to get the real Professional trades out thier to do a walk through. It may cost you a little in the beggining but, the money you save on the other end is extremely Greater than what you invested.On that particular job we had to completely shut down the water and Drain the home. Move a washing machine, install new brass heavy duty shut offs for the washer, then put everything back as it was before we arrived. She has a 2 year warranty bullet proof warranty on parts and labor. Mrs [Member Name Removed], I wish you the Best of Luck with your new home. "On this particular job, my wife had traveled along with me to see the projects that we had going. Everyone likes to get out from behind the desk now and then. As far as the professionalism. We treat every customer the same. That's why are ratings are what they are here at Angies list as well as Home Advisor. As far the time on the job. This was the second time to this home. We didn't even charge for the first trip. Thier was a total of two and a half hours at the home. The softner system that is installed at the home evidently is not working properly. The faucets were packed with calcium. The kitchen faucet was so bad that it had to be removed, completely taken apart, calcium scraped out of the faucet housing with a scraper just to get it to work. The unit needed to be replaced, he didn't want to do it. Cartridges in the showers and lavatories were the same way. When we were finished all the faucets worked like a dream. Besides that the work has a two year warranty, peace of mind has a cost, and he has that. I do enjoy the comments here on Angies list. As the owner it provides me with Intel so that I can steer the company down the correct path. Mr and Mrs [Member Name Removed] were great people to do deal with. As the owner I have learned many things. Probably the most is if you don't take care of something, and it breaks, you can't blame someone else for it. If you don't check your oil or water in your car, it runs dry, burns the motor, you can't blame the manufacturer. No more than you can blame a company when they send out a certified Master Plumber to your home to fix your faucets that are caked with calcium because the softner is not working properly . In this response, I would like to say that I seen a lower rating on price. As the owner of this company, I would have to say that the operations cost of actually running a company by the books is extremely costly. I f anyone looks at ratings, ratings cost money, OK, let me explain please. if you take a 4.9 rated company, versus a 3.0 rated company. OK, this simply means, the 4.9 company spends alot of money on hiring, this means safety and background checks for techs in each home. It also means that they spend alot of thier budgets on Profesional Training programs. This in turn simply means we spend alot of money to make sure without a shadow of a doubt that a trained and Texas Licensed tech shows up at your home. The real difference in pricing really boils down to simply that. So, anyone can ask yourself, which type of tech would you like at your home?. "In this particular situation, I , as the owner , actually talked to the homeowner. By the way, an extremely intelligent individual and a pleasure to talk to. I qouted a price over the phone which we really never do. Once we arrived, the project was alot more extensive than predicted. As the owner, it is company policy to validate your word. We live by a code of Honesty and Integrity. We kept our word and made all repairs and still offered the same warranty for the original price that was offered over the phone.
