The fence is a very good quality and the workmanship was superior. The crew had the job done in a day and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward.

In 2005 my pool skimmer developed a leak; the pool maintenance company indicated that detection and repair would be costly and that the system could operate with the remaining skimmer. This October, I had the skimmer leak repaired so that the house could be offered for sale. The leak detection workers recommended that I photograph their findings. The skimmer line had been cut when a fence was built to enclose the unit earlier in 2005. The notable detail in this discovery was that the fence company had concealed the damage by placing a scrap of plastic from a caulking tube over the opening and burying the line. I immediately contacted Johnson Fence to report the incident and invited the person in charge to view the damage. He said he was in the area and would come by but later canceled. I informed him that the repair totaled $800. He replied that American Leak Detectors was price gouging and that he would offer $200. I declined the offer. When I contacted him a week later he reneged on the offer and said the work was only guaranteed for one year. I admit I did not mark the pool lines as indicated in he contract (even though the fence was built to enclose the pool equipment) and that incident is a few years old. Johnson Fence may be correct contractually but certainly is not morally as they deliberately concealed their mistake thus making a minor repair a very expensive one.

The workers were very professional and did a good job, though they were slightly sloppy. They were immigrants and difficult to communicate with. The cost was split five ways between neighbors. They used high quality fencing of 6' cedar, and its still level. It took them two days to install about 150' of fencing. We had a few complaints but overall everyone was pretty happy.
