Fix My Slab

Ty came out and after talking to me and taking some measurements, since the whole house was on a tilt from front to back, respectfully suggested that it would cost too much money to repair and that it was probably not worth it on an older home. He suggested that if we can live with it, that we should just do some cosmetic repairs. He even made some suggestions on how best to make these repairs by not just spackling, but actually replacing sections of drywall since the points were already weak. I really appreciated the honesty and feedback on how best to proceed.

Work was performed as quoted. Prompt, fast and friendly staff. Ty the owner answered all my questions and was very helpful explaining what needed to be done.

Choosing Fix My Slab was the best decision I could have made for my foundation repair. Right from the very beginning with the evaluation and estimate, everyone was friendly and business oriented. I never felt rushed to make a decision and every question I had was answered calmly and without making me feel less than informed. The crew that did the repair was to say the least impressive. It has been a long time since I have witnessed a work crew that actually enjoyed what they were doing and their top concern was doing the job right. I could not be more pleased and have already recommended them to 2 of our neighbors. They made a stressful and worry-some situation very easy to deal with. This is a pure model for business. If you happen to get Cesear as the supervisor on the job, you have nothing to worry about! He was fantastic.

I am very impressed with not only the professionalism of this company, but with the workmanship as well. I had my foundation fixed many years ago by a company that has since gone bankrupt. I called Fix My Slab because of the ratings this company has with the BBB, Angie's List, and several other social media sites. The Strickland came to my house as scheduled and provided a quote that was very competitive to several other foundation companies. Mr. Strickland offered several different options allowing me to tailor fit a plan that met my budget and needs. The crew showed up on time and began to work immediately. Raul, the foreman, was very knowledgable and was willing to answer any questions we had and address any concerns. The crew took every precaution to protect vegetation, and property during the job. After the job was completed the crew left my property in immaculate shape considering the project at hand. Rarely do I get the chance to rave about a company, this one is bar none the best I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with.

He was very knowledgeable and had some great ideas. He turned down the job siting that his services would be cost prohibitive for me and recommended that a landscaping company could probably handle what needed to be done. I found this to be very honest. My house is old and probably a borderline teardown. Even thongs Ty didn't take the job, he spent a lot of time giving me information and trying to help me. Ty was punctual, knowledgeable, professional, honest and compassionate, and I would definitely recommend him.

It went very good. It took them about three days to do. I have not had any issues.

During the first week of November, 2014, I called Fix My Slab for an appointment to get an estimate on foundation repair. The lady answering the phone set my appointment for November 24th at 9:30AM. I stayed home from work to meet them at my house. No one showed and no one called me to reschedule. I called their office at 9:45 to ask if anyone was coming. I was informed that my appointment was Dec. 15th. When I asked why I was not informed of the change, she said she "didn't know". The lady made no apology and made no effort to help me. I told her I would call another company. She responded "OK, thank you". Sure couldn't trust this company with my foundation.

They were very professional, very knowledgeable but the price was a little too high. Even though we didn’t go with Fix My Slab, I would recommend them for people getting estimates. I decided not to go with them because price is one of the reasons but other than that, I think they would be fine. They were punctual. He answered all our questions and he was very prepared.

Ty came out on time and provided us with cost to stabilize the foundation of our home. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We decided to go with a different provider due to price and our schedule. I would recommend anyone having foundation issues contact Fix My Slab for advice and an estimate.

Workers showed up on time and when they were done you couldn't even tell that they were here. Very courteous and friendly employees, answered any and all questions I asked. Asked me if I would like for them to spread any of the remaining dirt in certain spots and hauled away what was left over after that. Cost of the entire job was middle of the road as far as quotes go but they did an excellent job. Entire job took just about 10 hours to complete (started at 930am and completed a little after 7pm). Ty, Eddie, Raul and the rest of the employees are all good people and I would definitely recommend anyone needing foundation work to give them a call.

Each time Du-West has come out and said I needed thousands of dollars of work. I did not call Du-West on the first house the buyers agent did, I called on this house as we have a warranty with them. Ty has come both times and reassured has disagreed both times with Du-West and gave solid advice to have a structural engineer come out. I have both times and each time the structural engineer has sided with Ty. He is prompt, fair, and very professional and if we ever really end up having slab problems he will be the guy we call as above all he is honest.

The crew showed up on time. Everyone was extremely nice, especially Raoul and Eddie. They did a great job and cleaned everything up very well. As a matter of fact my flowerbeds looked better than I expected after all the work. I would highly recommend Fix My Slab to friends and family alike.

Difficult job, messy if you have interior work. Fix my Slab went out of their way to work with me. They went as far as working 1/2 day Christmas Eve and New Years Day. Outside cleanup excellent, inside lot's of dust, but they are foundation workers and not house cleaners.

so far so good. with as slab I think you should reserve final o.k. for a while

Ty Stricklin came out when promised and on time. He looked over my house, took readings with equipment and met with my wife and me. He explained in simple English the current status of our foundation. Simply stated we do not need foundation repairs at this time. We may need it later, but his recommendation was to wait until cracks become more pronounced and/or doors stick. We appreciated his honesty and his direct easy to understand explanation. We were given Fix My Slab by a friend who had work done by them in the past. We will recommend having Ty and his company look over anyone's foundation problems based on our experience this morning.

Ty Stricklan and Fix My Slab did a very good job for me in repairing some slab settlement on my house which happened due to the Texas drought in the past two years. When I first contacted him, he made an appointment to come out to my house just a few days later. He examined the house slab outside and inside. I had already hired a professional structural engineer previously who had given me a complete report and a drawing showing where the engineer believed the 17 piers should be installed. I showed the engineer's drawing to Ty and we discussed what the installation of 17 piers would entail and when the work could be done. I told Ty that I didn't want any interior piers installed because the engineer's drawing didn't call for that. Nor did I want to have to repair my front porch which is constructed of bricks I could not find any more. He told me that he would follow the plan of the engineer's drawing. He also said that tunnels could be dug under the brick front porch which would eliminate any need to drill through the bricks. I was adamant that my slab be repaired quickly because I plan to put my house on the market for sale by the month's end. Just two and a half weeks after signing the contract, Ty's Fix My Slab came to my house to begin work. They arrived promptly at 8AM as scheduled and began their work. They assured me that the work would not take more than two full days. They worked steadily all day on Tuesday of this week until it began to get dark. The crew of 5 or so men didn't even leave for lunch, but ate their lunches on the front lawn. On Wednesday, the Fix My Slab crew returned again early in the morning and resumed their work. A few hours after lunch, Ty came to my house and said he needed to come into my house again with his equipment to take measurement while the house was being leveled. This process continued for some time until Ty told me that he believed the house was level. I checked on a crack in the tile of my master bathroom while the foundation was being leveled and was delighted to see that most of it was closed up. What was left, was now a hair line crack that could be easily caulked. After the leveling was finished, Ty asked me to go outside and consult with his foreman as his crew began the clean up procedures to make sure they did what I wanted. This clean up went smoothly. The crew even distributed some excess dirt to other parts of my yard where the ground around trees had been sinking due to the drought. I signed off on the work and paid Fix My Slab the final half of their bill. I appreciated the reasonable price and the promptness of getting my foundation repaired. Mr. Sticklan and his manager, Raul, and the other members of his crew were easy to work with. They were all polite and professional. They left my yard in good condition. Despite a problem we had the first day when my outside electrical plugs were not working, the Fix My Slab crew were able to work around this issue until we found out where the GFIs needed to be reset. I would recommend Fix My Slab to other home owners needing foundation work done.

He told me if there were not any more issues, than it was not something that needed repaired right now. He was very helpful, nice, and friendly. He was on time for the appointment and I was pleased with the estimate experience.

The prices were on the high side vs others but Eric was quick to respond and get as competitive as he could. At the end I chose a different company to do the work due to an, overall, more competitive bid. This company was a strong second choice.

It went fine. I got another quote that was lower than theirs so I didn't go with them, but the person was very nice and he seems like he knew what he was talking about. He was the business owner and he came himself so that was pretty different compared to other people I talk to. I would use them again.

They did the work as promised, and they did it well. They also responded quickly to an issue at one corner of the house which I appreciated. My only problem was that they didn't fill in some holes they made under the house.

Everything went well. They did good work, they charged the most competitive rates, and they cleaned up after themselves. The only problem was that they left the gate open.
