I called on 3 separate occasions to try to get an estimate on repairs on a section of my front walk way, not one return call. I reviewed the previous customer comments, and tried to pick a company close to my home to support local businesses in my community. Needless to say, pretty disappointed in the service (or lack thereof) and went with a different company.

A vehicle hit the concrete culvert head and broke a retaining type wall at our driveway entrance. Insurance was called and just needed some estimates on the repair. After consulting Angie's List, he was the only one to respond to my inquiry. He came the next day and ultimately gave me two quotes. One for a patch repair, and one for complete replacement. I received those quotes the very next day. It was quite some time before I contacted the insurance company with the quotes, as we were in the middle of selling our home. The insurance company approved the larger replacement quote, and then I contacted Ethan for scheduling. He was very up front about the time it may take to schedule in due to many factors including rain delays. There were some delays, however, he was constantly in touch with me at all times. His team was right on time, Ethan spoke with me that day as well explaining all that would be happening. It was a larger job than he anticipated, due to the depth of the original concrete but, he was right there keeping me informed. The new concrete was poured the following day and it was expertly done. Caution tape was provided and placed both before and after the pour. He then explained the curing process and all I needed to do was wait four days. His team was efficient and professional. He is a smaller company, and I couldn't have been more pleased with his work ethic. Hire him and you will not be disappointed.

It went very smoothly. They had it done within half a day and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Concrete by Dunlap to do any concrete work for residential areas.

Because of my work schedule, I never was able to meet Mr. Dunlap face to face. We were only able to coresponded via phone & email. He was very prompt in getting me an estimate and answering all of my follow-up questions. We had to reschedule a couple of times because of rain delays, but he always kept me informed. The workmen did a great job on the new section of my driveway. Also, all of the debris was picked up around the site. I am extremely happy with the results and would recommend this company to anyone needing quality concrete work.

Went great! Ethan provided us a quick quote and was always very responsive to our inquiries. He also put in the basketball hoop anchors which competitors were not willing to do. The crews were on time and on track as promised by Ethan. Dunlaps price was less than competitors and they were able to complete the job earlier than the others. Great Work...job went without issues.

Our job was started as scheduled and finished in a timely fashion. All the workers were very professional and courteous. We will recommend this company to our friends who need concrete work done.

I was VERY happy with all aspects of the work - from the call back to the estimate - through scheduling/completion. Everything went smoothly and professionally. The appearance and the functionality of the work exceeding my very high expectations!

I can't say enough good things about this company. I have already recommended them to a friend who needed concrete work. The quoted price was a good value, they started the work precisely on time and then completed the work onn schedule. During the job they went out of their way, rerouting some sprinkler lines and fixing the curb. They made a minor mistake of not roping off the area (they finished when it was pitch black) and the UPS delivery guy came late and left some footprints. Ethan sent one of his top guys to fix an issue - AT MIDNIGHT. He also assured me that his guy was taken care of for getting out of bed for my late night fix. Good work by a good honest company - that is hard to find these days. I would use them again for any concrete needs and recommend them to my friends. I know this review may sound over the top but they were that good. I have remodelled my home starting with bare sheetrock and I know what good and bad work is. A+++

Concrete by Dunlap is an exceptional company. The owner Ethan Dunlap takes pride in his work and it shows. He was always on time and provided a lot of help during the design process. He went above and beyond for us when other contractors wouldn't even return my call... His prices were fair and I feel I received a value. They ran into unforeseen issues on the job that were out of their control and he still stood by his estimate. They respected my property and my family. They went above and beyond on their cleanup. The workmanship was superb! I would recommend this company to friends and family!

A coworker overheard me calling contractors to get estimates for pouring a concrete slab. He gave me contact information for Concrete by Dunlap and said he had a friend that used them for some work that they were happy with. I found their website and confirmed that the phone number I was given was correct before calling. I called and left a message saying that I wanted to get an estimate for having a concrete slab poured. My call was never returned.

They had done a job for me previously, repairing a broken piece of concrete. I had been looking for a couple of years for some way to repair/re-fill my driveway expansion joints, as the wood in them had all disintegrated and they were filled with nothing but dirt. Besides having to constantly spray weed killer in them, I knew that water was getting in under the driveway and I didn't want any more movement in my driveway as i had already had a major break and repair. Ethan came within a week and measured my driveway and emailed me a proposal within another week. I thought the price seemed a little high, but I had nothing to compare it to and wasn't willing to do it myself so I agreed. Ethan was willing to come within a week to get started, but the timing didn't work so we set another date for a Saturday. Ethan and his crew showed up around noon, got right to work, and worked consistently throughout the afternoon. They hand dug all dirt, weeds, etc. out of each joint down what looked like a couple of inches (hard work). They then poured about an inch of sand into each joint and leveled it out, putting blocks at the edges so it didn't run out the sides. Then they filled each joint level with the concrete with a special joint compound made just for driveways. It all flowed together and was almost perfectly flat. It's a gray color, and will blend in with the concrete once I power wash the drive. I couldn't drive on it for 24 hours. It's been almost 2 weeks, and it looks even better now. I'm happy I had it done, as I don't have to worry about the weeds and water any more. I'm trying to save up the money to have Ethan come replace my front walk.

No response from our initial calls tells us that there is a problem with this company.

All the expansion joints in my front walkway had worn out and were no longer doing the job they are meant to do. I contacted Ethan Dunlap to give me an estimate for replacing these joints, which he did in a timely manner. Specifically, I had 58 linear feet of expansion joinst that had to be replaced. Mr. Dunlap informed me that it may take a week or two before he could do my job, and that was okay with me. He then got back to me and said he'd be able to do the work after only about a nine-day wait. His crew showed up early on the agreed-upon day, came to the door and introduced themselves, then dove right in to the work. The two guys making up the crew were very skilled and meticulous. The job was done absolutely expertly. Even with their expert work, there were still two small areas that needed additional attention, and Mr. Dunlap himself came out to fix those areas. In the case of one of the areas, he did all he could, then suggested an additional fix to be done by me. He then offered to come back once I get my part of the work done, to clean up and finalize this particular run of expansion joint material. (The part I need to do came about because of some neglected lawn maintenance on our part, and has nothing to do with his work.) Mr. Dunlap is fair, friendly, punctual and very easy to deal with. The two guys on his crew were very, very skilled, and also a real pleasure to work with.

I called Ethan very late one afternoon and left a message. He returned my call promptly the next morning. Very polite on the phone. I explained the problem and he promised to go by my house and look at it to give me an estimate (I was at work). A few days later he left a written estimate on my front door. I was very happy with the estimate so I called him back (again very late) and left a message asking him to check his schedule and let me know when they could proceed. I got a call the next day at work around noon and Ethan told me that they were finished with the repair and that he had taken pictures during the process so that I could see what they did. I was very pleasantly surprised and felt bad that I hadn't left a check. He told me not to worry, that he would invoice me. He emailed me the pictures immediately. They did a fantastic job. I am so happy that I am getting a quote from him to fix the expansion joints in my driveway and also to replace my front side walk. I recommend them very highly.
