Jack's Carpet - The Woodlands

We went in to their store and we ordered a specific type of carpet because it was good for animals. It had an antibacterial kind of thing. If they had accident, it will help clean it up. We were told that it would arrive in approximately 10 days. It was no big deal because we were going through some of those other repairs and we were not in a rush. We weren’t in a rush so it didn’t bother us that 10 days later it hadn’t gotten here but a month later, we contact them and we were told that the carpet had not shipped but was ready and they were waiting on a truck to pick it up in Georgia and it would be in another 10 days. We contacted them again the following and they told us again the same thing that it was being held up in Georgia. In early September, we were contacted by their warehouse and basically they told us they weren’t sure they could get the carpet. We were given the option to decline the order which we did at that time but the thing we had a problem with them was we’ve given them a down payment. We actually ended up sending them a certified letter on October 27th with this whole scenario and they owed us a $425 refund but we had also opened up an account to do a no interest on the carpet on the remainder of the balance. They finally sent us the refund back in November and then I kept asking them what to do about this account because I kept making payments on it because it was in our name and I was finally told that the best way to do that was to just contact GE and say we never received the product and do a customer complaint with GE which that actually started the process and we finally got it resolved by having to go to GE and tell them that the vendor had not delivered the item for us. It was just the whole customer support thing. They were very unorganized. Their pricing was probably pretty good.
