Exceeded expectations. Experienced professional inspector who systematically walked us through all aspects of the home inspection, while pointing out findings and responding to questions. Provided a detailed, same-day narrative report with photos and references to relevant standards, as well as what issues were critical for discussion with our builder before closing, and what issues we might want to consider addressing ourselves after closing.

Excellent service and Travis explained things in the house so I could understand —making the technical terms understandable and clarifying what I needed to fix. I will use them again.

We had Travis from Gold Medal Inspections do a home and pool inspection during the option period of a home purchase. Travis was prompt and professional. He took the time to show me different things that I was interested in during the inspection process. He used a drone to provide area view of the roof and chimney areas. He provided a comprehensive report shortly after the inspection was completed. Clear color photos and call out arrows were included, in the reports as were recommendations for some items that could help fix some of the minor issues that were identified.

Simple and easy process to get inspection scheduled. Travis also clarified my questions on phone prior to inspection to ensure I understand the full service I’m getting. During actual inspection, Travis was very thorough, and explained key items with me. Travis was absolutely great! He showed up early, and explained the whole process of the home inspection to us. After inspecting each area of the house, he would give us a quick update on what his findings were. Once he was done with the outside completely, he showed us all the pictures that he took on his ipad, and went over in detail what all of his findings were. He also answered any questions that we had. He also did the same after he finished the interior of the house. In addition to giving us a great inspection, he also gave us contacts for any other people that we may need when it comes to home repairs (foundation experts, termite experts, etc). I will definitely be using him anytime I need to in the future, and I will absolutely be recommending him to my friends!

My husband and I are days away from closing on a new home. Excited as we are, we didn't want to experience the issues we had with our last home that could have been caught with a home inspection. So, having a few concerns about the build, we decided to hire the company that was used by the buyer of our previous home. The report we had received on our previous home was detailed and thorough. We were very impressed as this inspector found issues that the one we had hired to inspect our home for sale hadn't! Mr. Venghaus arrived before I did to the new house yesterday morning. He was already busy at work, doing his job in the hot morning sun. He kept me informed of every step he took. He told me why he was doing what he was doing and what outcome was expected. During this time, he was professional and friendly. At the end of the inspection (took about 2 1/2 hours!) he had me write down what pressing concerns there were, that needed to be addressed immediately. This way I could submit them to the builder to be fixed since we are so close to our closing date. As promised, we had a fully written, picture ladened report by 6:00 that evening. The report is easy to read and pictures are clear. For every concern, there was a picture. For every code violation, there were complete details as to why and a picture. I would highly recommend this company to anyone buying either a used or new home. While they cannot see what is behind the walls (they have yet to invent a small enough portable xray machine that can!) they can visually see what is there. Gold Medal Inspections. Excellent. He and his son were a great team. Very thorough, Checked everything. My son and I were contently asking questions. He paused and gave us a thoughtful answer, made sure that we understood then went back to work., no rush. We must have asked a hundred questions. I am very satisfied with the service he provided and wish that I had met him sooner.

I was so pleased with my choice for this home inspection. Travis did a complete inspection and explained everything in simple terms so I could understand. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable with everything. He offered an option of a thermal imaging camera to inspect the insulation and after all the horror stories I had read online, I decided to go with the extra option and was glad I did. The Homebinder tool that comes with no extra cost was also a nice surprise. I would highly recommend Travis to anyone needing a home inspection. One word....EXCEPTIONAL.

The people at Gold Medal are truly outstanding and their customer focus can't be beat! I called on a Thursday morning. Jeff was able to do the inspection the next afternoon, and we received the inspection report on Saturday morning. Jeff was professional and very thorough with our home inspection. Not only did he point out deficiencies, but his report included some maintenance tips we can proactively take to avoid future problems. They are also willing to refer their customers to specialists (termite inspectors, etc.) that they know and respect for further work that might be needed. Highly recommended!

Ed was very thorough and followed up with me as soon as he completed the inspection. I know a lot of people do not have an inspection on new construction but I definitely recommend having it done - especially by Gold Medal Inspections. Ed found things regarding the roof and gutters that I would not have noticed on the initial walk through. The superintendent at the home site was very complimentary of Ed's professionalism.

Awesome experience! Everyone was extremely friendly and took the time to explain everything. We felt good knowing that they were truly looking out for our best interests.

The inspector was very professional and was early I was early as well. First of all he introduced himself and the other inspector that was with him. He immediately gave me his business card, which I find very professional and he is confirming who he is. The inspectors started in the outside, They came in the house and looked over everything and tested all appliances, water, electrical outlets, blinds, windows, screens, cracks. Everything. Discussed any issues of concern and stated he would send the report to me the same afternoon. I did receive it a few hours later. I would highly recommend Gold Medal Inspections for new or existing homes.

Larry was terrific. He covered everything with a fine tooth comb and took the time to show me details. He also discovered important items which others may have missed. Highly recommended.

Our inspector Ed was very thorough and explained all that he was doing along the way. He pointed out things that shouldn't be a concern, but still wanted to let us know. He also was thorough on roof inspection and many other aspects that a typical buyer's eye may not see. I will gladly state the money I spent was well worth it!!

I was buying two condos from out of town. Bill and his team worked extra hard to get with the listing Realtor, work with her, and keep me informed every step of the way. The reports they sent were very detailed and included supporting photos. A real bonus since I was not able to be there myself. They found major problems in both units that the appraisers had missed.
