+ -1 moreNot a fence to be proud of. I will have to hire a professional fence company to fix this one in the very near future.
Description of Work: Contracted for 8 ft fence - part board-on-board, part regular fencing. Only the side that is "not" board-on-board was stained by Kenwood - remainder of fence stained by me. I asked if the job could be done by Friday evening - the answer was "yes". Job not completed until the next Wednesday. Initial "downpayment check" was written on July 9, final completion check written on July 15.. I asked if the fence would be constructed so "nothing" could get under it - answer "yes". Absolutely not the case. Any small animal could get under the fence in many areas. I have a small dog here often and it was important to me that he couldn't get under the fence. One of the gates is embarrassing.. The boards do not line up. Too high and jagged on the top; huge space where one of the boards was cut too short on the bottom. Boards uneven on the top and bottom of the gate. There is zero attention to detail - if the boards were too short they were used anyway. That is the case in several areas of the fence. There are no caps on the top of the steel posts - there should be and the owner admitted they should be there but no one has come to put them on. The fence is already leaning outward in one area. The side of the fence that the workers stained has an area that was left unstained. Again "no" attention to detail. There were several boards that were not originally nailed to the stringers. The nails in one of the gates turned black and ran down the gate (immediately). I had to sand the gate to remove the dark black areas. Nails are left protruding through the boards - safety hazard. I called Jonathan to come back and put brackets on the outside of one strip of fence. That was month's ago - haven't seen him.

+ -1 moreThe cabana is beautiful. They did an outstanding job. I and my neighbor share a fence and they went to Lowe’s to find who they would recommend for building a fence. The Lowe’s recommended Kenwood. My share was $8000 as my neighbor paid the rest of the price. I would be using them again for building the kitchen.
Description of Work: I used Kenwood Exteriors about two years ago. They built a fence and a cabana for me.

+ -1 moreThis contractor ended up walking on the job because he under bid the contract and ran out of money. They completed the grill with the wrong brick. They used the brick from my neighbors house which was different color and type than ours. They partially completed the covered patio, but left an unsupported roof in the corner, and we had to hire another contractor to come out and complete. They never even began the extra room that was in the contract. They took 90% of the money and only completed 60% of the work.
Description of Work: Signed a contract to have a covered patio with built in grill added in the back of our house and an additional room added to the sided of the house.

+ -1 moreThe price was high but the fence looked fantastic. Problems arose when it turned out Mr. Maashio did not get the required work permit. The fence did not fit required guidelines and 38 feet of it had to be torn down, which he did. The problem is that he will not provide any remedy for completing the fence as it should be. Now I not only have to find someone to fix the problem, I also need to use the legal system to get equitable recompense for the new labor.
Description of Work: Tore down an existing fence and replaced with new in September, 2006.
