BEST USED APPLIANCE SUPERSTORE

Washer worked fine for a few days. Then found water pooled under washer and dryer. All hoses and fittings were dry. Per the 30 day warranty, buyer must bring appliance in for coverage. Took the washer in and was told the service person could not find a leak. Took the washer home and reconnected. The next day, found water under the washer and dryer again. Dried the floor and wondered if it may be a plumbing leak. The next morning, found water under washer and dryer again. No water at or near walls so I knew it was not a plumbing leak. Reached under the washer along frame, about an inch off the floor surface, and felt water. Tilted the washer and water ran out from the frame onto the floor. Called Best Used Appliances and stated I wanted my money back. Was told of a 25% restocking fee. Full disclosure, when I went to the store, there are small signs indicating this. Asked that they come and get the washer, which did happen. Went to the store and spoke with owner. He wanted to exchange the washer however by then I had already ordered and paid for a new washer. He eventually agreed to refund me in full if his service staff found "even a drop of water" and asked me to give him to the end of the business day. I agreed. Then I had a local plumber come and look into my plumbing, to avoid any potential issues with the new washer. The plumber found no leak or evidence of leak in pipes or in the wall containing the pipes. When I returned to Best Appliances about an hour before closing time, the owner was not present and the service person told me they could not find a leak. When I asked to see the washer for myself, I was told it had been loaded on a truck to go to a store in Shreveport for sale. A person at the store called the owner to get approval for my 75% refund and I was able to speak to him. I told him I had hired a plumber to look for any leaks at home, to which he said I must have known I had a problem to hire a plumber. He then asked who I hired and I told him. The owner told me he knew the plumber and they did not know what they were doing. By this time I was fed up. I accepted the 75% refund and decided I would not do business with this establishment again. May be fine if you have time, willingness, and ability to deal with their repair or exchange policy.....unsure about the repair competency since they could not find a leak.
