It went horribly and the end result is a very amateur looking shower that I am embarrassed to show anyone. They took my money and ran!!!!! Stay away from this bunch, they are not respectable businessmen. Also, don't be fooled by the blasphemous statement in their Business Description: "George and Patrick first met at church teaching children's Sunday School with their wives, and built a business on a basic principle, "if god isn't in it, neither are we!"

They retiled my bathroom floor tile and completely redid my shower (removed pony wall, installed new pan, retiled, installed frameless glass and door) after we had a leak. They informed me every step of the way and cleaned every evening before they left. The result is amazing. I will use them again when I'm ready to upgrade my other bathroom.

Where do I begin? this company bills itself as though it is a bath remodeler. It is not. They can install glass shower walls and doors. The men who measure and installed the frameless glass seemed competent, though one of the installers let his power drill fall in the shower on the new tile. Hopefully it didn't crack. One of the clips on the lower part of the glass shower wall leaks water even though it has silicone on it. If you want anything from this company besides shower doors and walls, buyer beware. The tile installer was a hard worker and did a good job, however, we had to have him come back twice to fix problems. We were made to feel as though we were a nuisance for asking them to make it right. Halfway into the job, they said and quot;we don't do plumbing.and quot; Excuse me, but how do you install shower and floor tile in a bathroom (which must include removing and re-installing toilet and shower fixtures) and put in a granite counter top (remove and reinstall sinks and faucets) without doing any plumbing? On top of the cost of what we paid Dallas Bath and glass, we had to have a real plumber come out and fix some of the plumbing work. For instance, the tile installer left the large bolts at the toilet base uncut with the little cap resting on top of it. There were other problems with the bath faucets that he had to fix. When they brought the original granite countertop to be installed, they busted a hole in the sheetrock as they carried it through the bedroom and left some other marring on the walls in the family room and bath. They said, sorry, we don't repair sheetrock. If that wasn't bad enough, the countertop was not the one we had ordered, did not match the new tile on the floor and shower, and had to be taken back out again. We had to go from McKinney to far southeast Dallas one day, and then all the way out to Kaufman on another day to their granite suppliers in order to pick some out that matched our new shower and floor tile. The first team that came out to install the granite counter threw our original faucets away without asking, so we had to buy new ones. The holes they cut into the second granite counter top are a bit too large for the new sink fixtures. The new granite countertop does not appear to have been sealed and has holes in it. We're not sure what to do about this. We needed a painter to come and repair and paint walls that had been damaged when the first granite countertop was brought in. Dallas Bath and glass doesn't do any finish work (touch up painting, wall repair, etc) so you will either have to do it yourself, or hire someone else. The Nano glass protectant which is expensive but they tout as THE answer for keeping the glass shower enclosure clean, smelled exactly like plain old rubbing alcohol. I was told it does have alcohol in it but other things as well. You might try rubbing alcohol yourself and see how that works before paying to have them use Nano.

Response from Dallas Bath and Glass
Frameless shower Glass: Measure and installation of shower glass was installed perfectly, We offer glass coating protection to all our customers as value added service. We have used every product on the market and have found "NANO" hands down works! This product is OSHA approved and we are certified approved installers. We have used this product for over 3 years. This product is more than just ALCOHOL!, it has years of lab certified test proving its effectiveness. Yes, drill was dropped accidently no damage to tile. Not mentioned back in November They personally contacted me via cell November 23, 2014 at 6:56 AM (SUNDAY MORNING) that one of the shower panels broke. Not only did they get a response from me but we also went out to the house, cleaned up all the glass, reordered the panel, reinstalled new panel for FREE! It was caused by the earthqauke early that morning, not from defective glass, but we still replaced it for free, and timely. Additionally, we inspected all the tile to insure no other damage and ask the customers to do the same, if so we would happily replace it. Remodeling: After meeting and choosing selections customers change it. First with me, second after I hired and paid for designer out of my pocket, and 3rd after meeting with 2nd designer at floor and decor. All the tile in the shower, floor tile was installed, customers inspected everything with fine tooth comb. We replaced any and all tiles customers to be found unsatisfactory. They choose travertine instead of my suggested porceline tile which is a natural rough surface that has holes in it. This is condusive of travertine but we still removed several sections and replaced it. This even after we had completed the job! Granite: Originally customers only were installing granite in the shower areas of shower curb, pony wall and bench. Our agreement it had to be chosen from our selected colors of availability.(in our signed contract) They didnt like any of the colors, and elected to go look for whole slab and then to match with counter tops for the vanity which was not part of the original scope of work. In the confusion and making changes, they gave a color that was selected, fabricated and installed. They didnt like the color. I will accept this as our mistake because we didnt have the customer SIGN OFF The slab as we normally do. Even with that at my expense I paid for new slab of granite, had it fabricated and installed. NO Extra cost to the customer for this expense. During this they elected not to have the granite installed in the shower as agreed to, so at my expense we came back and installed tile in its place. Again, no extra cost to the customer. The granite for the vanities were not part of the original scope of work, it was an after thought. Plumbing is extra and customer said he would do it himself. So when it was time hook it back up, they expected us to do it for free. Its standard and customary to install the granite and bowels, plumbing is extra for fixtures. Yes, the customers are correct the old fixtures were thrown out, and we replaced them with new. Sheet rock damage: Its not unusual to damage areas of the home with all the work in and out of the house. we always give our customers the option to repair it our hire someone else they have worked with in the past and get us an estimate. In closing all the effort to please the customers and provide quality finished product we performed! Not many contractors would have stuck this job out. We lost money doing this job, but sometimes that is just the way it is. I also noticed the customer didnt mention they stopped payment on check. Many of the comments are not factual to the quality of the jobs but merely opinion "Alcohol" Do your research before you blast a contractor and give a poor rating. I would love to say we are perfect, but we are not, and this job like the hundreds we have performed in the past we dont run and hide when things dont go exactly the way we or the customers are expecting. A professional finishes what he starts, and we did. Anyone that would like to review the photos of this job I'm happy to show them! Them shower, floor tile, granite, and shower glass is VERY NICE! Description of Work: Contracted to install new shower with Marble that I furnished. Even though I gave them a A rating, there were some issues. The first person that did the job, was a total failure and my wife and I expressed our concerns to the manager. He said that it would be alright in the end. It wasn't. I called George and asked him to come out and see if this was the quality that represented his company's work. He came out with another tile person and checked out the job. It was decided that the entire shower had to be taken out and redone. When it was finished, it was the quality that I had expected. They do stand behind the work and my wife and I now have a shower that we are proud of.

The did really well and the installers realized there was a mistake on delivery when unwrapping the doors and stopped right there and got the ones needed. They were very knowledgeable in what they were doing. They were very well installed. We have had no problems with them. The salesman was fine but I was very impressed with the installer.

We had a shower door installed on a newly re-tiled shower. I was extremely pleased with the entire process. We received 3 bids and Dallas Bath and Glass was in the middle pricewise. Shower glass IS expensive, no 2 ways about it ... but their prices were in line and everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional. We will be redoing another bathroom in the next year or 2 and I will hire them again.

Always nice to hear little good news about on service. The shower door Business has some many moving parts to it, custom precision measuring and of course dealing with Glass is a challenge. With that so many things can go wrong along the way. Glade we were able to make it happen for you Member, and thanks for the kind words. George Martin, President Dallas Bath and Glass, Inc.

The scheduling was easy. They were punctual, but the person who showed up didn't seem very interested in performing the service. The quote was emailed without any details, just the name of the design and the price. There wasn't even a subject line or a message in the body of the email. Just an email from a name with an attachment. Unprofessional.
Description of Work: We had a quote but never hired them.

Just note of Thanks for allowing us to stop by and provide and estimate, however after reviewing our system there was and extensive estimate provided for several bathrooms showers. I resent this estimate again for your review. It’s very common these estimates get blocked by and sent to spam folders considering they are coming from our online estimating software, and have attachments. Regardless we should have followed up on the estimate to complete the service for you. At Dallas Bath and Glass, Inc Customer service is and always be something we strive for. It appears that we missed the mark in providing you with all the information necessary for you to make informed decision.
