We are very pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: The crew cut down a large tree and ground the stump,. They also trimmed 5 large Live Oak Trees and an Aspen tree (to our surprise they also trimmed two Pecan trees in the front yard). They cut care to ensure that no infection would be present on the tree while cutting the branches so they sprayed it before and after they cut branches. They did an OUTSTANDING JOB of clearing out the cuttings.

We hired the company to remove a large tree, trim a large tree and remove and remove a little dead tree then grind the stump on the large removal. They did a great job until it came to stump grinding. The grinder was down and we would need to wait a week for that. No problem...but they didn't show a week later......mid way through the NEXT week I called and they came the next day to grind the stump. They also ground part of the chain link fence. They would be back in a while to fix the fence so our dogs could go out......only they didn't come back....nor did they come back the next day. My 70 year old sister had to block it so the dogs could go out to do their business. Again, I called.....they would be there the next day first thing. I get off work at 3pm....still not repaired. Sister has stayed home all day waiting...again. I called back. They were sorry...again...and said they measured what was needed and had gone to pick up the supplies. They had everything they needed and would be there today (Saturday). I asked what time because I did not want my sister waiting all day again....she had plans. I asked that they call if this was not possible.....as I had asked each time they scheduled to be there. No call...No show for the 12:30 appointment. Called them 2 hours later.....it seems the grinder was down again. We don't need a grinder to replace a fence. I asked why they had not called. Apologies lose effect after so many empty times they are given. AGAIN I asked why they had not called when I have specifically asked them to as common courtesy...more apologies. So...?they will be here next?....that promise was given after 2:30.At about 5:30 they arrived.....fence was repaired satisfactorily. Very polite workers. Did a good job. Would hire again but would not pay until all aspects of job and any needed repairs were completed.

I do apologize for any inconvenience. The stump grinder did break down. We had to order a new part, the new part was not correct. So it did take more time to get the stump grinder to get replaced. At the time our other stump grinder was out of town at another job. Due to stump the fence was broke, However we did fix the fence, We had to get materials to fix the fence. The fence was repaired. Again we do apologize for stump grinder breaking down on us. The part was sent to us wrong, and we had to wait until the back order part arrived before completing. Our goal is to make our customers happy with our service. However there are times when equipment breaks down. We did complete the entire job. We probably could not give you a direct answer on the stump grinding due to part issue. I am sorry the part took so long to come in. But we do want all of our customers happy. We do strive to do the best job possible for all of our customers.

I liked that their service was fast and I didn't have to be at home. Everything was done pretty much by telephone, so I just put the payment underneath my doormat and it was very convenient.

Live Oak treatment in progress. This will take time to tell. We will see if the full treatment, which is completed in stages, is completed as specified. Also, the equipment used for this treatment required constant attention from homeowner to keep them in working order as many lost pressurization, some within less than 24hrs of installation, some required attention twice a day and some never finished feeding the solution.Lawn fertilization went well, but the price quoted was different than final bill. The stump grinding was significantly delayed because of equipment breakdown. It took a while for the grinder to be fixed and brought to the house to complete the work.Tree delivery and planting required replacement of the tree after it was dropped off in the front yard and not planted in timely manner. First specimen took a beating from falling over (was told to leave it that way) and deer. Second specimen suffering some transplant shock (expected) but hanging in there. Overall, it's difficult to accurately use the above rating system for the following reasons: Prices: Were they fair? The written quote seemed comparable to other businesses; The verbal quotes seemed fair BUT the final amounts were significantly more than quoted. I'm almost 80yrs old and don't feel like arguing with people. I do feel like I was taken advantage of. Quality: It's difficult to define the quality of the Live Oak Decline treatment since it will take several years to be able determine the result of such treatment. Responsiveness: The broken equipment delayed some of the work. I wasn't impressed at all with the way the tree delivery and planting went. Phone calls were answered or returned in a timely manner. Punctuality: Not an issue. Professionalism: He seems to know what he is talking about but he talks A LOT and he talks FAST. I really never knew what to expect because services, plans and prices changed frequently and without explanation. I do not consider that professional.
Description of Work: Live Oak Decline treatment on 26 trees; 10 trees removed including stump grinding; Delivery and planting of one tree.Jeff is a fast talker. He is quite friendly but if you choose to do business with his company make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. The only price quoted and honored as expected was the written quote for Live Oak Decline treatment and tree removal. All other work verbally quoted had a way of changing, sometimes drastically. As an example, he quoted two different prices for tree delivery and planting in a conversation that lasted less than thirty minutes. This was in addition to a price for the same that he quoted a day earlier...making three different prices and services in all. Upon receipt of the bill, the price ended up being significantly higher. The prices quoted for fertilizer also changed. I was left feeling a bit worked over and pressured to commit to more Live Oak treatment on additional trees, which I declined. In the end, the prices kept changing and the final bill was not what had been quoted earlier. Like I said, he's a fast talker who gets carried away with the sound of his own voice. Make sure you get exact services and prices in writing or you will be disappointed in the end. Verbal quotes:Fertilizer: I was quoted $8.00/bag; I ordered and received eight bags and was charged $79.85 (a cost of $9.98/bag). Prior to paying for the eight bags, my son wanted some fertilizer and I requested four additional bags; No price adjustment was indicated; however, the four additional bags (which were not spread) ended up costing $100.00. That is quite a markup! Expected cost: $103.92 [$8.00/bag + tax 8.25% for 12 bags == 12 x $8.00 = $96.00 + $7.92 tax = $103.92] Actual cost: $179.85 [$13.845/bag + tax 8.25% for 12 bags == 12 x $13.845 = $166.14 + $13.71 tax = $179.85] Fertilizer marked up 73% Tree delivery & planting: I was quoted a price of $80.00 for specimen delivery and placement in a hole where a stump was to be ground. The following day when talking about the tree delivery and planting, Jeff stated to myself and my daughter that it would cost $50.00. When my daughter asked to verify that that was for the tree and planting, Jeff said, "Yes. We will do whatever you want." A little bit later he stated, "You can come pick out the tree or I can pick it out for you. We'll deliver the tree and plant it where ever you want it for $75.00." A very nice tree was delivered and just dropped off in the front yard. It was not planted that day as expected. That week was very windy and the tree blew over. I called the company and asked what needed to be done with the tree since it had not been planted immediately; "Should it be moved to the fenced in back yard & secured in an upright position?" Jeff instructed me to leave the tree as it was, on the ground in the front yard. Subsequently the tree deteriorated, was ravaged by deer and was not planted for several days. My daughter found this unacceptable and let Jeff know that a new specimen needed to be delivered and planted. This was done per her request. Jeff stated he did not want to plant it where a stump had been ground (which he had recommended and said he would do initially). Therefore, a new hole was dug, by the area where the stumps had been removed, and the planting finally took place. That being said, upon receipt of the bill the final cost for the specimen delivery and planting was $200.00 This was a markup of 167%

My contract written and signed for $2500 for treatment and removal of liveoak trees. I was paid with a check by the customer for $2500 plus $79.85 for the fertilizer, we did a great job for the customer and even gave him a warranty on his tree. I told the customer about the fertilizer, he drove down to Harker Heights to get the fertilizer but could not find the business who sold it. As I was out on the job, checking the tanks, he told me he couldn't find the company, So I offered to go pick it up and spread for him. The extra charge was for pick up and delivery and spread the fertilizer. I can only buy the fertilizer by the pallet, The mark up was for delivery and spreading. We try to keep all our customers happy because they ususally call us back for more work. He was very satisfied when we left the job.

He is very fair in his prices. He is very thorough with an outstanding crew. They always clean up the property after they are finished with the service. He is very knowledgable about trees and can give you a lot of information about the trees that you have. The crew is very punctual. Also, if there is an emergency, he is right there.
Description of Work: He removed 2 trees for me. We have used him several times.

The climber was professional and knew what he was doing. One of the ground crew didn't make it to work until later in the AM. John, the owner, came out later in the day to check on the work in progress and to bring some organic feeds for the lawn/trees. He spent about an hour talking with us about our trees and things we needed to do or not do with them. I suppose the only downside was the lack of stump grinding. But that may be due to mixed / crossed messages. I'll update when they finish this last detail. But for that issue they would be a solid "A". The also cut two of the trees into fireplace length for us. Final Entry: Eventually had to hire another company to come out and perform stump removal. The diagnosis of oak wilt disease was questionable at best. Specialist in oak wilt from Austin (they deal only with oak wilt) confirmed we do not have the disease on existing trees. Had we allowed All Around to treat the existing trees for oak wilt they would all be dying/dead by now. They still did good work, for what they did, had they completed the job I might have slightly lower the rating. Failing to complete what was contracted for the best I can rate them is "D". Add the potentially fatal misdiagnoses of oak wilt and the score goes to "F". Sorry.
Description of Work: Cut two dead trees, cut two more that the arborist claimed had oak wilt. Trimmed deadwood from trees over the house and fertilised the lawn/trees.disease on existing trees

We did pull your contract. I can show you exactly what we did on your job. We did not do any oak wilt treatment. Regarding the stump, this was a existing stump. You stated in our conversation You would call us when you had the funding available to remove this. You never called us back. Please check your records. You made this comment for a job that was done over a year ago. I have your contract and would be happy to go over the work we did do for you. We do strive to make all our customers happy.
