Jake the chief installer did the bid as Greg the owner was out of town. Jake approached the bid from the point of view of an installer whereas the salesmen from other companies approached the bids as selling the windows with the usual sales techniques. I appreciated Jake's approach and it was obvious from the onset that he is an seasoned professional who is a master of his craft. Ringer was not the lowest bid, but very competitive. Jake and the crew arrived on time and began working methodically. I texted my wife that these guys seemed to know what they were doing. All of the crew were friendly and professional. Jake had estimated that the job would take a day to a day and a half. Work including clean up was done in about 7 hrs. Everything was done as well as I could have hoped with windows installed to our satisfaction and excellent clean up. We had some windows done by WW previously and noted that the "lip" to pull up the sash on the WW windows was at the bottom of the sash with thin plastic, which might be a problem down the road. The Ringer Windows have a "lip" with thicker plastic at the top of the sash. One thing that I do like better about the WW windows is that on slider windows there is an outside track for the screen to move on so that if you wish to clean the sash, you just slide the screen out of the way. On Ringer sliders you must take sash off the track to clean which can be a pain and possible 2 person job if you have large sliders as I do. In conclusion, I would recommend Ringer to anyone. I believe that having their own factory to manufacture the windows saves on costs and it is good policy to buy local.

The windows are just what I wanted. The installation went so well. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. There was no mess to clean up when they left. They were nice and professional.

From the initial consultation thru the actual installation, I could not have been happier. The process was easy, the price was reasonable and the company was professional. My windows have been in almost a month now and the difference in my house is incredible. Ringer replaced 11 single pane aluminum windows with a combination of single hung and sliding windows. They are beautiful and functional.

Overall, the installation was excellent. The windows really supress outside noises. We have also noticed that the temperature differential near the windows is much less than it was with the old windows. The patio door is somewhat harder to open than the old one was because it is so much heavier. This is OK with us, but our big dog, Penny, can no longer open the door for herself! We love the garden window, but it was pricey (almost $2,000 more than a regular window). It frees up space by our kitchen table, as there are no plants on the window ledge any more. We were told that the windows would lower our electric bill, but it is too soon to tell how much, especially since it has been so hot this summer.

They are wonderful. I do not want to give out how much I paid them. They are more reasonable than the larger ones. The larger ones are outrageous. Ringer Windows is a small company and they are very good. They hand made theirs and they care about their customers. The others are two times three times the price of Ringer windows. The windows are wonderful. They have custom made these windows. They are very reasonable. The people who do this are fantastic. They come in, put them up, and they cleanup. They care about you as their customer not so much as the money. We plan on recommending them to as many people as possible. Our neighbours have Venetian windows and their windows are three times the price of Ringer Windows and those look horrible. Venetian Windows are terrible and it is all about the money. You want the best windows and you want the best service. We could not ask for anything better. I would sure use this company in the future.

Greg Ringer came to give us their product details and an estimate. He was professional, courteous and not at all a "hard" salesman. We were very impressed with their knowledge, quality of windows as well as the price, so it was an easy decision to choose Ringer Windows after comparing them to other companies and estimates. We only dealt with Greg and his employee Jake, no run-around, no hand-off, no middle man. It was great. It took 5 weeks for them to manufacture the windows and we were having them installed the next week. We liked the fact that they glass was made in Texas and therefore lessened the carbon footprint (other guys were going to have to have our windows shipped from Ohio.) The installation crew was here ON TIME every morning, were in and out in reasonable time and it took about 4 days to complete the job. They were thorough, professional and cleaned up after themselves on each and every window. Not a single mess was left nor a single plant in our yard trampled. My windows are beautiful and completely changed the look of our house. I am looking forward to the energy savings in the summer ahead!

It has been a great experience start to finish. We have one more sliding door that they will be replacing. It took a little time to get a quote on it as it is a 10 ft. sliding door which they don't make ANYMORE. So we are putting in a 8 ft with sidelight. I cannot wait as this door has been a pain and is difficult to slide open and closed. When Greg told us he does the doors at cost we were sold!

Craig Ringer met with me at the cottage. He listened to me describe the problem and offered several very creative solutions that met our esthetic and budget requirements. He brought pictures and material that described his product and took the time to answer my questions. His bid was not the least expensive, but was well below the most expensive. The installation crew was on time, kept me informed of their progress and finished on schedule. The windows are a quality product that enhances the value and function of the cottage. Ringer Windows is a local company that I can strongly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

The crew arrived promptly and did a great job. The new windows were custom built and were a perfect match for our house. They look great and perform very well. Working with Greg (Ringer) was easy. He has the perfect balance of casualness and efficiency, so you never feel pressured, but everything gets done right on schedule. Due to some constraints on our loan, he even rushed our installation a little to get the install completed in time. I would definitely recommend Ringer Windows again.

We called Greg with Ringer Windows back in March in our search to get multiple bids on having our windows replaced. He was very prompt, informative and respected (even encouraged...) we get a full spectrum of the ideologies of the different window installers out there to which we would be comparing Ringer. After talking to six different companies chosen from Angie's List, we felt Ringer was the best choice. Particularly because he builds his windows here in town, custom to your needs/desire, and, he understands windows in Central Texas need to be a level better than the usual high efficiency window due to the summer heat we have (Texas August, anyone?). The way his windows are made provide extra heat protection that we would have not received from any of the other vendors with whom we requested bids. We were able to customize our windows, e.g., drop the middle bar in the larger windows so it's not in our sight line while seated, etc. Regarding our situation specifically - our home was built in 1987 and had the original aluminum single pane windows. All the windows we were replacing were on the back west side of the house catching all the intense heat. Standing near any of the areas that had the windows meant an uncomfortable spell as the heat/cold would come right through the old windows. The windows were hot to the touch. To keep our house with vaulted ceilings comfortable, we would have to leave the thermostat at 71 degrees constantly; a/c was coming on every 10 min it seemed. Keeping cool at night was not much better. Reverse the math for winter to keep the home warm. Greg's team came in and installed the new windows. We were eager to see if we could see a difference. It was immediate. I walked into our dining room which has five of the new windows and never once did I feel any heat where in the past it would be a miserable place to have a dinner or lunch. The windows were room temperature to the touch. Best of all, we can now put the thermostat at 82 and feel absolutely comfortable. Pricing was spot on. Greg beat out almost all the individuals invited to bid on our project. So, enough about the awesome product - the service and individuals with whom Greg works/employs are just as great. He doesn't subcontract out the installation and his own people do all the work. Same team, every job. This may mean your install date will be pushed out a bit depending on season, but, it's well worth it and should motivate you to plan ahead to adhere to what your expectations of install time frame may be. When they were done, they completely cleaned up - cleaned the area better than the way they found it, actually! No trace they had been there. And the work was top notch; install looks tremendous. Greg is very responsive to all mediums of communication whatever your preference may be. Also, he is very big on inviting you out to the factory to see how the windows are made and crafted. This is huge. I didn't get to go make a visit but to have the option really said a lot to me about what Greg thinks about his product, quality and having you as a customer involved. Buy your windows from Greg - don't buy from someone who has another company up in the North make their windows for them only to resell them to you at some ridiculous margin increase. Greg is windows - this isn't a side product he's peddling along with 100 other services/products. I can't recommend him and his team enough.

Fantastic job, very professional. Greg Ringer did the initial survey, asking me exactly what I wanted and giving good advice and suggestions. The installation team was led by Jake; they were on-time and did an excellent job. My windows look fabulous--really making the most of the view. They're also sending me the documentation I need for the federal tax rebate on energy upgrades.

We recently had all our windows replaced in our house. Fifteen windows in all. We called Ringer Windows on a recommendation from a friend. We were very pleased with the job they did. The windows are high quality and made to order. The installation was amazing. Jake, Herman, Eduardo, and a man who?s name I did not get, were the team. They arrived on the day of the appointment, early in the morning to put in a full day. They were quick, efficient, courteous, and worked well as a team. You can tell they have worked together for many years because they joke with each other a lot while doing their work. When it comes to renovations, our house always takes longer than people realize. Our windows took two days to install. These guys put in a 10 hour day on the second day. They removed all the windows, filled in the gaps in the trim with wood and insulation, and they puttied the holes. They had to build a new frame for the garden window in the kitchen. They had to make a special trip to the lumber yard to build it. They bought the same type of trim to match the rest of the house. I think that is so professional. They cleaned everything. They vacuumed with a strong shop vac after installing the windows. They covered floors and counters with a heavy tarp before installing the windows. They kept everything clean and neat, and returned all window treatments like they were prior to installation. Overall, they were great. Greg came out for the initial visit and explained about the windows. Jake came to measure the windows. We had a miscommunication about three of the picture windows, so Jake came out and measured again to the correct spec. The windows were built in a very reasonable time frame. We made a deposit in late February and the windows were installed in early May. I highly recommend Ringer Windows. They are professional craftsmen who take pride in the product they produce and the installation they perform. Plus, they are local, so tax dollars stay not in Austin, but in the area.

Mr. Ringer was very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. He was considerate of my time (I had to take off time from work to meet with him), and he spent a fair amount of time explaining how his product functioned and what our options were. I felt that his product was a very high quality, and I liked that he manufactures his windows locally. Ultimately, our decision came down to price. Ringer was a full $1,000 higher (about 20% of the total project cost) than the other estimate we received, and his estimate was for single hung windows. We ended up choosing a combination of double-hung and sliders (for codes compliance reasons), and we are paying less. In fairness, I did not attempt to haggle on the estimate. So I do not know if he would have been willing/able to come down in price if asked.

Greg Ringer returned my initial call, came to my home at the appointed time, explained his product and left me with a bid. He was professional and passionate about providing an excellent product and excellent service. After comparing to other bids and calling references I selected Ringer Windows. The windows were delivered and installed on the designated date. Jake, the installer was careful of my home, cleaned everything and was very courteous. I waited 6 months to make the report to insure the installations were water tight (yes) and the windows performed as described (yes). I am very pleased, and highly recommend this company.

Greg Ringer loves his job and is passionate about his product. Gave me and a friend a tour of his shop and explained everything about the installation in detail. He and his installation crew are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Very, very good experience.

The windows themselves are wonderful. We were able to order a custom patterned glass for the bathroom to match the style of our 1925 home, instead of the generic frosted look. Installation went pretty smooth, everything is weather tight and the sound difference is amazing. My only concerns are the extra trim put around the windows was not cut down to match the existing piece, it sticks out about 1/2 inch farther. Also, some non-structural wood rot was found while installing the windows that the installers didn't even mention and I didn't see until a close inspection after everything was in. It would be easiest to make the repairs with the windows out, but I have found a work around. This, along with the ease of installation by their crew is why I opted to install the windows myself for the second half.

Working with Ringer Windows was an enjoyable experience. Greg Ringer, the owner, came personally to complete my estimate. He was prompt, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about his product and his competitor's products. He seemed genuinely passionate about the quality of his product. The installer, Jake Bly, was friendly, thorough, and treated my home as if it were his own. And the windows look great! A++!
