Ringer Windows

The person who came out to do the measuring did not have a sample window to show me. He said he would bring it to my house later in the week. He did not. I would have preferred to see the sample window before I had mine installed. The installers were neat and did the work quickly. The cost for the windows was higher than other installers I checked, but Ringer windows are advertised as having superior insulating capability. I'm waiting for cold weather to see if I notice a difference.

They worked well with me through the process unfortunately he was not able to service my house because it was two counties away from outside his service area.

It was quick and painless for the lovely panes of glass. Professional and clean!!!

I purchased a Big Deal with Ringer Windows where in I paid $1,499 for $2,500 worth of windows. Once I talked with the salesperson, I decided to upgrade to a different type of window. This nullified my Big Deal to No Deal, and the cost was now about two and a half times higher at about $3,600. I worked with the owner, Greg Ringer, to get a small discount. He offered to take about $350 off the final price (a little less than 10%). From my perspective, I went from getting a $1,000 discount to getting a $350 discount (while paying significantly more in the final bill), whereas he went from getting paid $1,499 to now receiving $3,204, more than double. In light of this, I asked to have another $100 taken off my final bill which would have been in line with other bids I have gotten, bringing my total bill to $3,100. At first Greg agreed to this verbally, but once he sent me the revised contract he went back to the $3,204 and stated this was his final price. If I was not happy with this I was welcome to cancel (which I have). He has a perfect right to grant or not grant a discount. My issue, reflected in my rating, was more with reneging on a verbal agreement.

From the first phone conversation with the sales rep all the way through the finish of the installation, Ringer windows was very pleasant to work with. They communicated professionally and frequently. I was very impressed with how quickly the installation went -- it took them less than two days. The windows themselves are great quality. I have already noticed the savings on my electric bill, as well as the reduction in street noise. I love my new windows!

The product was everything I expected. The installation was excellent. Happy with everything.

I checked out a few windows suggested by my builder. Ringer windows were better quality and at a better price point. This was the third job I have done with Ringer windows. The measurements were correct. I was given good advise on window styles. My new windows were installed on time and with the price we agreed on. Gregg, (the owner) and Jake are both great to work with. The other jobs they have done for me was another new construction home and replacement windows in a rental property. My renters are happy that their utility bills decreased by about a $100 in the summer. Ringer windows are a great product. The team is great to work with. I recommend them without hesitation.

Replacing all single pane windows with double pane ones. After getting several quotes, Ringer stood out, by far, as the best option for our house. The sales rep was easy to work with, able to explain differences between window options effectively and efficiently. The installer gave impressions of being very experienced and knowledgeable. If a problem arose(it didn't) I felt comfortable that him and his crew would be able to handle in the best way possible. Both the sales rep and install crew were extremely friendly and easy to work with. They were more than willing to coordinate with other crews for unrelated work, operating in parallel. From beginning to end Ringer was a pleasure to work with.

Their service was excellent. They were very efficient, professional, and clean. They left no mess behind. They installation process was handled very well. I have recommend their service to others and they have also been pleased with the work.

They did a great job. The reason we picked them is they are not only the installer but the manufacturer. They are also local.

They sent a crew of three men and it took about three and a half hours to complete. The service was great and they did a wonderful job! I was concerned the window sill would be damaged or they would leave a mess behind because they were doing work at my rental home. However, they were in and out quickly, neat, and it was like they never did the work. I was happy with the work.

I did choose another provider for the job. However, they were on time for the appointment and professional. They are a first class company.

I literally subscribed to Angie's List for this purchase. I wanted to make sure I did my due diligence and research as there are an overwhelming number of options for window replacement. After meeting in person with roughly 7 companies that I found through Angie's List I had it narrowed down to 2...an exhausting task. At the last minute a friend that redesigns homes asked if Ringer was in the running and I said that I'd not heard of them and that I didn't want to complicate things anymore. Don't know how I missed them on Angie's. He convinced me to at least give them a ring. I obliged and ended up speaking directly to Greg Ringer...the owner of the company. I told him I was doing a friend a favor by contacting him and that I had my choice narrowed, and finally that unless he could come out the very next day...I was going to make my choice. Greg was extremely friendly and understanding and personally drove out to our home the following day. Beyond being friendly, he shared his story with us (quite remarkable) and provided us with ideas and options that no one else had considered...I must say that I knew at the end of our meeting that barring a ridiculously high or low price point, he was our guy. His price came in at a very competitive rate compared to the 2 other options in the running. We accepted the estimate and he immediately set our expectations on what would happen next. A visit from Jake the contractor that was going to be overseeing the install came out and he was every bit as friendly as Greg...we were even more sure we'd made the right decision by the time he left. From there came the actual install. Again...they set our expectations and in one day 12 windows were replaced, everything was cleaned up, and we had stunning sliding windows throughout our home. Greg followed up with us the following week to make sure we were pleased...we were thrilled. This happened in June. It's now October. I wanted to wait several months before posting this review to ensure we still felt the same way. This was easily one of the most challenging decisions to make as a new home owner and we couldn't be happier. Now that the weather is cooling off...it's really amazing to be able to get a great crosswind of fresh air throughout the house. Other little surprises to note aside from a much improved energy bill from original 1954 single pane windows: 1. Quiet! These things all but eliminate neighborhood sounds as long as they're closed. It's really quite impressive and unexpected. 2. Screens! They're awesome....almost invisible and pretty much undetectable from the street. Aesthetically this is huge. 3. Locally made. Ringer Windows are not a contract company that puts in windows from another manufacuturer. They manufacture their own windows from there own central Texas factory. Pretty special. 4. Super solid yet minimalist look to the horizontal slider retains the original 1950's design. Lot's of homes around here made bizarre decisions that really distract the eye from the original intent of the design. These compliment (IMHO).

Got all the details. Waiting for the windows to be made and installed, date for installation is estimated for mid October.

My new windows are fabulous. The old ones were single pane on a south-east facing wall, and absolutely cooked the master & kitchen, even with tint and heavy curtains. The new ones are beautiful, quieter, and orders of magnitude cooler even with the full sun in them in the morning. I am thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

All communications were prompt. The timing to build the windows was as promised. The crew arrived on time and worked quickly, cleanly and quietly. They were done before I thought they would be and all of the mess was cleaned up. I couldn't ask for more.

Mr. Cash was punctual and knowledgeable. I believe that they are a quality company even though we did not use them.

We moved from Vermont to Texas in June 2010 and bought a home approximately 25 years old, with old bronze colored aluminum windows. We knew we'd have to replace the windows when we purchased the home. We began getting quotes from various companies advertising in the greater Austin area and were shocked at the quotes that we coming in and very confused by the products being offered. This summer I heard Ringer's ad on the radio and called that afternoon. What a fantastic experience we've had right from that very first conversation with Greg Ringer. He actually answered the phone and we spoke about his product, his experience and we made a plan for his salesman to come out to talk with us, measure and provide a quote. The windows were installed in 3 days by a 3-4 man crew. They were pleasant to have in my home, they left every day with everything totally picked up and removed from the yard and did an awesome job. The windows are super! We've already noticed such a huge difference inside with keeping the heat out on hot days and keeping us warmer when the temps have dropped. Another pleasant surprise is how these windows have cut down on the noise! We love our new Ringer Windows and would highly recommend this company!

Greg and his team came out to our house twice (along with other potential vendors) before we determined Ringer was the one to go with. They were competitively priced, highly-professional, and we love that the windows are made locally. We will update this review after the installation is complete.

Once my windows were manufactured, the installation was incredibly quick. The first job took two days to install 13 windows and a sliding glass door. The second job, which was in coordination with a separate contractor remodeling my bathroom, took a couple of hours to install three windows. The installers were quick, professional, and left all my windows in great shape. There were a couple of existing wood trim pieces that needed a very small amount of touch-up paint. All the new windows are double-pane and replaced original construction grade single pane windows. We are extremely happy with our windows. They eliminated a great deal of outside noise and definitely improved our overall comfort. I would definitely use Ringer Windows again, but I won't have any windows to replace for a while.

It was great, amazing, and I've used them twice prior to that.

This was the best experience I've had with work done at my home. Greg came out and quoted the job and answered all of my questions about his windows and the replacement work that needed to be done. He invited us to his shop to see the manufacture process and finished windows ready to be installed. Jake came out and did final measurements and lead the installation crew. The crew was amazing. These guys worked together well as a team, cleaned up everything and more, and had the total job done in about six hours. If you need windows installed, this is the place to go. Their product is better than name brand windows out there, manufactured locally here in the Austin area, and the installation crew are in house employees and do excellent work.

Emailed photos to ringer and they emailed back a quote. Ringer came out to take measurements, to show trim color options, and to confirm quote and take partial payment. Ringer also drove me by some local jobs they had done to give me an idea of finished product. Windows required partial construction out of state. Once windows were ready after a few weeks, 2-man crew came out to remove old windows and install new windows. Interior as well as exterior work required for job. Overall, it went great.

The estimate was easy and thorough, service was great, the crew was professional and my windows fit perfectly and look fabulous.

Went really well. Mr Ringer came over to our place and did a brief presentation about the different window options available. I already knew of Ringer Windows' stellar reputation on Angies List, but it was the price that sealed the deal for me. Mr Ringer assured me that this was the final price and there would be no mysterious add-on charges. The work crew was excellent. They accommodated my schedule by coming in on a Saturday and were done and ready by early afternoon. The quality of the work was outstanding and the windows make a HUGE difference, especially when it's hot!
