Ringer Windows

Ringer Windows does a great job for a competitive price. Hired them to do not only my personal home, but also a rental property.

All parts of the process went well. I contacted Ringer Windows and Greg came to the house to discuss our options. We followed this up with a visit to their showroom and production plant which was very informative. We went ahead with an order for 13 new windows and approximately 10 weeks later they were installed. The installation team was punctual, friendly and extremely tidy. My toddler was fascinated by watching them at work which meant I got to watch them work too. They worked well as a team and really strived to take out the old windows carefully and put the new ones in with the best fit possible. The installation took 2 days. I wanted to leave reviewing my windows for a few months to really see how they fared in the summer Austin heat and to see if there were any underlying niggles. The good news is that after 4 months I am still very pleased with the windows. For the first time this summer we could comfortably sit next to windows on the south side of our house. Previously the heat transfer had meant this was not possible. Even in peak summer the windows themselves remained cool to the touch and our AC bills were about $45 less per month in July and August. Overall I am very pleased that I went with Ringer Windows and I would recommend the company to friends.

The whole process went very well. I wanted the contractor-grade windows replaced, Greg Ringer came out and gave me an estimate for the job. Because of my HOA rules I decided to have the new windows look exactly like the old ones and this presented no problem for Greg. I had one particular window that was not common in the industry and he didn't have to materials on hand so he special-ordered it with specific dimensions directly from the glass manufacturer. Once all the materials were received and the windows were assembled (about a month) I made arrangements to have them installed. My appointment was about a week later and the installation job took 2 days. Each window installation was completed before the next was started so my house was open to the Summer heat for very little time. The area was cleaned well and they even replaced a piece of exterior trim while fitting one of my windows. The finished windows look fantastic and required no paint touch-ups to the surrounding walls. I've had the windows for 5 months now, through the peak of the Summer, a few big rains, and now in the onset of Autumn. They have lived up to the claim and I am very pleased. I have another job for later, I will Greg for that one too.

The company makes their windows in Taylor, it's nice to support local. They have a nice display room at their factory. After seeing glowing reviews on Nextdoor, Angies, and Yelp I went to see the display. Everyone in the company is very professional. I met the owner and he convinced me that he stands behind his products, They have a full lifetime guarantee and it transfers to the next owner (although the second owner gets the guarantee for a limited time). The windows are vinyl which originally concerned me, some horrible things are said about vinyl windows on the net. These windows are done with new technology improved vinyl moldings, and they do have a lifetime warranty. That paired with finding some horrible reviews of the expensive windows I was considering convinced me to go with Ringer. Another convincing factor was that they use Cardinal glass, the same glass that Anderson, Marvin, Champion and many of the other big names use. In addition they allowed me to pick any of the Cardinal coatings per window pane for not much more than Cardinal charges them. That's as custom as it can get. For instance I put "self cleaning" glass on any panes that were hard to get too. I also put the heat retention coating in one room that gets cold. I put Advanced Low E coatings everywhere. The windows took months to build and 4 days to install. The measurements and windows were all done exactly. The team had lots of experience and they brought in their most experienced guys from the factory to do a complicated bay window that we have. The installers were great, professional, efficient, and courteous. They cleaned up well. It probably took a few weeks longer to get it all done because they are a growing busy quality company. I'd much rather get it done right with great people and windows than save a few weeks. Of course it was the day after they finished installing the windows that the worst of summer heat broke, so I really can't say how much energy I'm saving, but wow how beautiful the windows look. We had sunscreens everywhere which made cleaning the windows a pain, even when they were clean the screens sort of haze the view. Probably worth it for the energy saving but just not very good for the view. Basically I fell like we now have HD windows, they are great, love our huge picture windows they really pull in the view of the yard. All in all, a truly great experience, and we paid about 60% of the Marvin Infinity's costs we were considering, ...for windows that are more exactly what we wanted.

We recently had all the windows and siding replaced. Austin Hardi Pro installed Ringer Windows and they are beautiful. This home was built in 1959 and was in desperate need of repair. Now the windows are energy efficient and up to current code/standards. The design and function of each window look exceptional. We were having an issue closing one of the beautiful sash windows; Ringer quickly sent someone over to check on it; after a simple adjustment (and lessons on how to do that ourselves) it works well again.

As background information, I have had some of my windows replaced prior to contacting Ringer windows. The first experience was not a good one. I had high expectation for Ringer Windows because of the reviews on Angie's List. First, I must say that Ringer windows are a better value than the other windows I purchased. The Ringer windows fit on siding better than the other windows because of the way they are built. I have windows that are set in brick and some in siding. The installation by Ringer Windows was far superior than my previous experience. I'm certainly not an expert, but regardless the quality of the window, the installation is key. I believe the installation of the Ringer windows to be excellent. I guess only time will tell. The installers were also very courteous and efficient. Where Ringer Windows fell short was in communication. First, I was told that it would take 6 weeks. After 7 1/2 weeks, I left a phone message with Jake to get a status on the windows. No return call. I then called the office. She indicated that " I'll just have to call Jake." I really felt like I was getting an "don't bother me attitude" from her. Regardless, Jake did call me back the next day to let me know that it would be another 2 weeks before the windows would be ready to install. Call me crazy but I expected a phone call to let me know that their timeline would increase 50%. Didn't happen! In two weeks, Jake did call on July 3 to let me know that my windows "were finally ready" (his words not mine). Jake asked if Wednesday or Thursday next week would work in my schedule. I said yes both days were fine. Jake said he didn't know which day they would be there because they were on a job on Tuesday and it depended on whether they finished that job if they would be at my house on Wednesday or Thursday. Jake concluded by saying he would call and let me know. NO CALL. The installers showed up on my door step, literally, at 8:30am on Wednesday. NO CALL, NO Jake. This same thing happened with the estimate. I called Greg, left a message and talked with the receptionist to reschedule the estimate. Next thing I know Greg appears at the door! He quickly apologized and all was fine until the episode with the installers. Jake did call to ask how the installation went, so kudos for that! In conclusion, buying windows is certainly not a small price. The most important thing in my mind is the quality of windows and the installation. I believe that Ringer Windows excel in those items and hence, I will use them again and recommend them to others. But they really need help in communications.

From the first call (answered by owner, Greg) to the final installation, we were very happy with Ringer Windows. They came out and gave us a no-pressure visit. When we chose them, they came out as promised and explained the entire process. We had tons of questions and they always answered patiently and thoroughly. Once the windows were ready, they got the job done very quickly, were very careful, answered all our questions and have even followed up with us after the fact. The windows are fantastic. What a huge difference. They are beautiful and function so well. We have a neighbor who has had Ringer Windows work on 2 of her houses and she has even had to call them out on a warranty item & they were prompt with no hassle. We really like how they build the windows themselves.

I was looking for a window company that didn't use the typical high pressure tactics with one time discounts good until the salesman walks out the door. Ringer fit the bill. Greg was great on the sales call offering many helpful suggestions and with no pressure at all. He was willing to give his best fair price and let me come to a decision on my own time table. After dealing with some other companies, that meant a lot. Jake and the installation crew showed up on time on the expected day and did a great job. They were personable and professional and didn't mind me looking over their shoulder for the first installation or two, purely out of curiosity about the process. I couldn't ask for a better crew. They cleaned up after themselves, and it was an overall pleasant experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Ringer for both the quality of the service and the windows. I couldn't be happier.

Jake coordinated the job and took the measurements and the orders on all the window inst. Nothing but polite and professional.Dennis and Bruce did the installation and I will use the polite and professional to apply to them too. Ringer Windows came to the house to provide the estimate and then came again to take measurements to manufacture the windows. On the day of installation, they arrived on time and began immediately to remove the old windows and replace them with the new windows. The installation took 2 days. They cleaned the windows and demonstrated their use. The work area was left clean. We would definitely use them again.

From my first random phone call (heard about his company on the radio) to owner Greg Ringer until my installation by Jake and his crew, I have been amazed at the honesty and professionalism of this business. As a former mystery shopper, I know what makes a positive shopping experience and this was one of the best I have ever experienced. I shopped around before choosing Ringer Windows. The other businesses told me it would be 10 weeks before they could be installed. Greg Ringer promised they would be ready in 6 weeks. In actuality, they were installed in less than 5 weeks and the installer arrived exactly when he said he would be there. The installation was seamless! In and out in less than 4 hours and not as much as a speck of dust left behind. You can shop around and get a little less price at one of the mass-produced companies around Austin, but if you want a hassle-free, seamless, professional job in about half the time (The other companies quoted me 10 weeks.) call Ringer.

This is the second installment of windows we have had put in our house by Ringer windows.Jake called and told me the date and time they could do the installation.He and Dennis and Bruce were right on time. Dennis and Bruce did an excellent job installing the windows.They work hard, the windows look great, and the clean up was excellent.We have five windows left to do and the only company we will even consider is Ringer Windows.Dennis and Bruce also did the first part of the installation of our windows.

The representative checked out my existing windows and determined their product would not suit my home nor match the existing windows. Instead of installing something I would not be happy with, they were professional enough to say so up front and save me a lot of money and regret. I was completely impressed with this company and would not hesitate to refer them.

My neighbor asked to have my windows all washed as a thank you for their 8 (yes, EIGHT) years of construction. The neighbors are great. The windows are clean - but I did not use RInger.

Greg, Jake and his crew did a very professional job. They were at the house at 7:30 and were done by 3. They took care of everything and the house was clean and better than before. Very Happy!!

The box stores had told me that they could not do that because the window area was too small, but since Ringer makes all their own windows, they were able to do it. They were professional, worked with my schedule and left the area spotless when they were through. I was so pleased with their work that I used them again to replace some windows on my home and plan on using them in the future to replace the rest of the windows in my home.

So far, this company (and owner) has been great to deal with. They are very responsive, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They keep in touch and follow up. We have put a deposit down & have had our measurements done. Getting the windows in about a month & will update more then. We also have neighbor that had 2 homes with window replacements by this company and they've been very pleased. This company makes their own windows & is local. Had a very competitive price and quality product.

This is the kind of company you can be proud to support. They actually build their excellent quality windows right here in Austin, Tx. When so many companies seek the cheapest (and often shoddiest) work, it is a wonder to find a local company supporting the economy by manufacturing an Excellent product. The guys at Ringer are the best. They have an old fashioned work ethic of doing a good job for a fair price. They work hard in all weather conditions and dont complain or make excuses. Greg spent a great deal of time with me on the phone before i placed my order answering questions that pertained to his windows but also giving me advice on a door that i needed to order (from some one else). Jake came out and did the measurement for the windows i needed replaced. He helped me decide on what type to order. in addition, he measured a doorway that i need to buy a door for. he held my hand through the entire order process & even called the door manufacturer to make sure everything was just right. He gave me his cell number & we talked several times during the manufacturing phase. He & his crew came right when they said they would and it took them exactly as long as they said it would. They installed the windows & the door and cleaned things as thought they had never been there. They did a few extra things to help me out like move a window unit. I only wish i had more windows to replace as i am so positive about this company.

We are very pleased with the service Ringer Windows has provided for us. We are going section to section in our house replacing the old windows. From the first contact until the job was completed we were treated professionally, but more important in a courteous manner. Jake came out and measured the windows and was patient with every question.The morning of the installation, Jake and the installers were on time. The men went right to work. The installers were Bruce,Wayne, and Dennis. They were also polite in answering every question I had. They did a great job.They all three knew exactly what their roles were in the installation.They also cleaned up everything, not when they finished, but every step of the way. From beginning to end our experience with Ringer Windows was excellent. They were easy to contact and work with, always on time with meetings, the installation itself went without a hitch, they cleaned up inside and out afterwards and the windows are excellent.
