Description of Work: I had used Xtreme before and so I am a repeat customer. I had a furnace inspection this time and also purchased air filters from them. |Brooks, the technician who came to the house, was friendly and obviously capable. He performed the services and gave me advice on future needs. I will be hiring them again in the spring.

Description of Work: Had a Trane heating unit problem; technician did not seem knowledgeable but quoted $600+ repair for gas pipe replacement. Called Walker A/C next day and problem was with control panel. So glad we didn't use Xtreme; I would have been livid with an unnecessary and expensive repair bill, especially so near the holidays.

Description of Work: It was just an A/C check. Per the service man I needed to replace the unit,it was on its last leg. In truth the unit is old and will need to be replaced, but it is still functioning and the service call was simply an attempt by the service company to scare me buying there product.

Description of Work: Called reference a/c not cooling well, Tech Matthew arrived and hooked a/c gauges up and found Freon low. He then started telling me that the system should be replaced ( 6 yr old house ) because the units leak, and are poor. I told him of issues in the past from the builder and we went into the attic and he open a plane on the air handler and pointed out a spot of rust and stated the air handler needs replacing, because the coil is leaking Freon. NO LEAK CHECK JUST LOOKED, WOW. Priced new replacement coil at 2250.00 / or air handler at 3000.00 he then washed the outside coils , and check unit2 and said LOW ON FREON, I paid 79.90 and he left no work done. They clearly ONLY wanted to replaced the units ? WOW--SCAM |I was upset and found the business card to a company I used in the past SHERRELL A/C 972-216-1961 and called for 2 look. |They found copper line at air handler leaking (past repair site from builder) fixed and charged unit, and checked unit 2 (NOT LOW ON FREON) for 652.95 I hate having to write a poor review however I just wasted 80 dollar for nothing. |I should note this is the first time I used a ANGIES LIST provider. | | |
