My 'dusk-to-dawn' outside light had stopped working and I contacted Dave through Angie's List about a repair or replace scenario. I had already replaced the light sensor without success and felt the unit needed replaced. He stopped by Home Depot on his way here and picked up a new fixture only to find it was much smaller than the existing one (he had not been here prior to this). He went back to Home Depot and exchanged it for a size more in line with what I had. When installing he found that the existing wiring had been shorted out and that wasps had built nests in the housing. He cleaned all that up and repaired the connection. The fixture was $48 and he charged me $85 for the labor. Everything works just fine now. He and his helper arrived on time, were friendly, and seemed quite competent.

He and his worker performed each task with delicate care as though they were repairing their own home.

Dave Roundree Handyman Repairs and Services was prompt and did the job. He was very nice and courteous. It did not take long for the repair job at all. I had a difficult time opening and closing the gate. He found a lock that would meet my needs due to the continuous foundation movement. He appears to know about alot of repairs around the house. Very reasonable on price. Thank you.

Went great. Dave and Carlos handled all of the tasks with ease and the prices are very fair. Determined on site as the tasks were quick. I can't say more that it was done fast, well, and at a good price. Definitely will use hime again.

We were swapping fridges. I had the handles off and knew could fit it in. I got the door off... but it was a 2 person job. Dave came out immediately the next day first thing in the morning. Carlos and I managed to handle all of it together before Dave could even get to the Home Depot to rent a dolly. No damage, no dings, no scrapes on the floor. Carlos helped me put the old fridge in the garage and put all the pieces back together. Dave and Carlos really are the perfect handymen for the jobs you just can't do.

Dave and his assistant Carlos (who does a majority of the work), are great. They are down to earth, yet professional. They charge reasonable rates based on the tasks needed. I have used them before, and should have rated them then. I plan to continue using them for all my regular repairs that are beyond my ability to fix myself. The only reason I gave a "B" for punctually was due to a reschedule we had to do because they were held up on another job. If that were me, Id be very happy they continued through till the task was done. So not really a bad mark there. Just what a handyman needs to be. Car;os and Dave are great.

I let the positive reviews sway me and ended up experiencing a lot of the issues raised in the negative reviews. I will absolutely give more credence to them in the future. I called Mr. Roundtree on Sunday and we made an appointment for Tuesday at 10:30am. He asked me to call him to remind him on Monday and like other reviewers I found this to be very unprofessional but agreed to do it because of the positive reviews. I explained what I wanted and everything was set. I called on Monday as requested and he then asked me to call him the following morning to remind him and this was too much for me. I explained I did not see the need for that and started to express that if he needed reminding I would need to go elsewhere at which time he said it was no problem he would be there in the morning. Mr. Roundtree and his assistant Carlos were on time and very personable, we discussed the prices of the work I wanted done and they were reasonable so I agreed to have the work done. The first item to be done was to move the video game. There were issues right away and it was clear this was not going to be possible with just the 2 of them as Carlos repeatedly expressed. I had some other people onsite working at the time and when they saw him struggling they lent him their dolly and assisted him in getting the machine upstairs. Even though the other people did half the work he still charged me full price for the task. He also put a big gouge in my wall getting it up there and never said a word about it as other reviewers have mentioned. Next was to fix one ceiling fan and install another. The ceiling fan that needed to be fixed was making a humming noise. We explained to Mr. Roundtree repeatedly that we felt there was an issue with the variable speed light and fan switches on the wall not the fan itself. He kept saying it was the fan motor. After Carlos relocated the fan to the other room the sound was no longer present so we again expressed the idea it was the switches on the wall but he never acted on that. So I was charged for a repair that never happened. After they left we spent $4 for the switches and fixed it ourselves, no more sound. He also charged me for putting a piece of wood in another place that he did not do because he could not find the right length piece of wood at the hardware store. Carlos seemed to do all the work and Mr. Roundtree took an hour and a half to get a couple of parts from the hardware store that is just 5 miles away. The work Carlos did was performed satisfactory. The towel rack, the fan installation and the piece of wood between the carpet and the floor. The one other job Mr. Roundtree did was hang two shelves on the wall that were supposed to be even with each other and one ended up being 1 inch higher than the other. At this point i just wanted him gone and the job over. So I paid him and that was that. Will not be using again.

Dave repaired two gates. I was unable to close one of the gates, and the other gate was hard to open. Dave repaired both gates, so that I'm able to close and open both of the gates. On my deck there was a loose board. I was afraid someone could trip and fall on the deck. Dave fixed the board for no charge. I was very happy with his work and felt that the charges were very reasonable. I will be calling him back to install a shut off valve for my water.

I had a appointment with Mr. Dave for an estimate and he never show up or call.

The work was done well, priced reasonably and both areas were properly cleaned after the service. We would recommend Mr. Roundtree.

He and his helper arrived on time and looked at what needed to be done. He gave me price and went to work. He took my wife to home depot to get some supplies while his helper worked in the bathroom, but soon returned and quickly finished up everything we agreed to do today, I will have him come out tomorrow to install a storm door and fix a window pane as well as install a faucet in kitchen. He will also fix some wood rot around my garage doors and repaint. Great Handyman and great value for the money. Many more projects ahead he will be hired to do without a doubt.

Mr. Rountree arrived at my home at approximately the exact time he stated he would be there. He was professional and courteous and extremely helpful. I wanted a door lock replaced and had purchase a lock which was different from the one I had on my door. Dave had to rebuild the door jamb in order to install it and did an exceptional job. (I was a little worried about that at first) but Dave assured me he could make it work and proved his point. He then installed lights on top of my kitchen cabinets which turned out wonderful! He was able to connect the lights to some existing ones. Dave has definitely become my "go to guy" I will be using him again in the future for all of my handyman jobs!

Dave responds to my email quickly and willing to get the job done the day for a fair price. I cancel the deal but he stays positive and friendly with me and he is ready to do another job if I need him again. Dave cares about the work and not about money or the job is cancel. I will use Dave again.

Dave and his assistant did an excellent job repairing the door frame after an attempted burglary at my house. He was very responsive when I called for help and showed up when promised. He purchased the materials for repairing the door frame and advised me on what locks to purchase. The repairs were done in a timely fashion. The door closed perfectly with the new door frame. The locks work well too. Great job!

Working with Dave and his helper was a great experience. They were very careful about not harming plants/getting paint on other surfaces.

Dave was very friendly and available the very next morning after I called him. He arrived on time and did a great job. The only issue was that the sink he repaired started leaking again the next day, however, that sink has had many problems in the past and he came right back out the morning after it leaked and fixed it for good. That's service!

I contacted Mr. Rountree for an estimate for several small repairs around our home. He did request I remind him about our estimate appointment which I was happy to do. He came by 2 days later & gave his estimate. A previous estimate from a different Angie's List vendor was about double the cost. At our initial phone contact, I thought the window springs needed replacement. He said he hadn't repaired a window spring before so he asked if I could research & provide some information about the window springs which I was happy to do. Once he arrived & looked at the windows springs, he immediately saw the problem & fixed one spring (at no charge) during the estimate appointment. Once he provided the estimate, we scheduled the repairs for the following day. We agreed at the time of the estimate that he would use our ladder, that I would purchase the paint for the roof vents per his recommendation & he would provide the support for the door threshold. He and a helper arrived on time & proceeded to do the repairs. They were both very nice & Mr. Rountree showed me how to lubricate the window springs myself for future maintenance. About halfway into the job of lubricating the windows, his supply of WD40 ran out so I provided ours to save time and a trip to the store. There were a few hiccups: Mr. Rountree screwed in the loose sill below the entry door sidelite to secure it & I discovered a long crack in the wood after his repair, which he caulked over but the crack is still visible. He didn't mention to me the sill cracked. The unsupported door threshold had wooden framing around it where the previous homeowner had a screen door installed but later removed. I discovered after the work was performed that one side of the frame cracked during installation of the support so it was screwed in and caulked at the crack, caulked completely around 1 side of the framing and around 1/2 of the framing on the opposite side. He didn't mention to me the frame cracked. Mr. Rountree advised me I needed to paint the pressure treated lumber he installed for support & I had expected (but we didn't discuss) that he would handle that as part of the repair. The door latch repair didn't "stick" so I still have to jiggle the door about half the time to insert the deadbolt into the latch. While his prices are very reasonable, I would rather have paid more for better quality repairs.

Made an appointment to come here at 11:30 on Wednesday. At 1:30 i called and left a message. He didn't return my call until Thursday and offered no excuse for not showing up. Totally unreliable.

Dave and his crew are such professionals. They take pride in their work and go out of their way to ensure the customer is satisfied. No job was to large or small. Always there to save the day!

He did a great job installing the medicine cabinet and painting the bathroom. The replaced tile in the laundry room was done very well and the garage door works perfectly. All in all, he did a great job.

I contacted Dave based on Angie's list reviews.I had him work on several small projects.Dave brings in his assistants and guides them through the work. I had them do the following Replaced Return Air duct grills Replace Bathroom Exhaust Fans Install a Curtain Rod Fix Bedroom Doors Install Toilet Flush Mechanisms Paint a bedroom. All went well except when he was replacing the bathroom exhaust fans,they did damage the ceiling sheet rock.Dave did got the sheet rock repaired and painted the ceiling. He did a good job on painting one bedroom and took care of all the details we pointed out to him. Hardworking team,

He was awesome and he was fantastic. For the different things we had him to do we felt the price was fair and good. He is not a pushy person but a good person with good suggestions. He is very good at what he does.

DAVE DID A FANTASTIC JOB. HE WAS ON TIME, EVEN CALLED ME WHEN HE WAS ON THE WAY. THE WORK HE DID ON AN EXISTING OLDER DOOR WAS PERFECT. THE NEW DEADBOLT LOOKS AS IF IT HAS BEEN THERE FOREVER. PRICE WAS ALSO VERY GOOD. NO TRIP CHARGE WAS GREAT. JUST THE PRICE FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THESE DAYS. I WILL DEFINITELY USE DAVE AGAIN AND AGAIN AS NEEDED.

Dave did a beautiful job. I have already ask Dave to come back and do more work.
