Dave Roundtree Handyman Repairs & Svcs

I wanted an handyman. He charged me doubled. I had the same job done a couple weeks later. This man charged me $280, and the other man charged me $100. The only reason that I didn't call the other man first is the handyman that I know since I have moved here, is I figured its an two person job. It was just one person, and almost tripled than what the other guy was charging. I explained what I wanted done, and he said he would take care of me. He sounded so nice over the phone, and he was nice. I should have told him I needed an estimate. He needed to call someone to help him. I thought you needed two people. In the meantime, the other man arrived, and Dave Roundtree left. The other guy put it all up. You only needed one to put it up. He already told me that much. I had to pay it. He wanted to charge me $350, but I wasn't going to pay it. I didn't. I said, I will give you $275. He wanted $280 to make it even. I was mad at myself. My son asked why I didn't call the other provider that did painting and mowed my grass. I thought it would take two people. He came to mow my grass, and ask him about putting up another on them. He did put it up for $100. I should have called him in the beginning. He didn't do any of the work at all. The minute the other helper got here, he left. When he got back here, the helper was done. He probably would give the helper a hundred dollars, and I paid him $280. I am just mad at myself. The workmanship was bad, he didn't do any of the work. The price was terrible. He didn't speak English. Maybe he couldn't read the instruction. I speak Spanish, but I didn't go out to help him. I had to change all the hooks like a shower hooks. He did an ok job. He came the very next morning. He was going to come Saturday, and called that he can come tomorrow morning. I said ok, I will be here. He came promptly. A day before we made the arrangement for. He said we will come to an very agreeable price. I didn't need to call anyone else. He came sooner than he said he would come. He was here right when he said he would. He had to wait an hour for the helper to get here. When the helper got here, he left. When he came back, the helper was done. He passed all the work to the helper. He should have seen the man, when he was here everything was in the box. This wasn't worth the price. I shouldn't have agreed to the price. He went on and on about hating to put them together. He needed to get an helper. I thought everyone would charge me this much.

It went well Dennis was the carpenter that did the work he is very knowledgeable. And very professional. He does excellent work. He installed twice as many cross members than their were. This floor will last for years. Thanks Dave and Dennis.

He replaced the flanges & put a new toilet in at our request.

Bathroom gutted due to mold. in the process of removing sink, broke the pipe. this break had a unseen crack due to pressure removing sink that leaked for weeks before we found it. After drying out the bathroom and giving them a second chance, while putting up drywall broke the other sink pipe. I had brand new wooden floors in my living and a silk on silk rug that was affected with this second break. I immediately called a plumber to repair both pipes. It took another week to dry out the bathroom. Dave Roundtree was a nice man but the help did the damage. There was no contact after the second break.

Dave hooked us up with the right guy to install our patio door! We are very pleased with the work that was done!

The work itself was fine. The job looks great. Negotiating was a little confusing because the labor and materials were priced separately. An issue came up over hauling away the old fence, and my subdivision does not allow construction debris. But Dave ended up taking it to his own place, which I thought was a creative solution on his part. There was a line that got severed underground and I lost internet and phone service. I blame myself for that one. I didn't know there was fiber optic cable buried under the ground so close to the fence. So that had to be resolved.

It went great. Dave was on time and very pleasant to talk to. He was also flexible with my schedule. The work was done in a resonable amount of time for a reasonable price. Would definitely hire again if needed.

This was our second time using Dave and he has never disappointed us. He's always on time and does a very professional job and cleans up the work area.

It took about 4 hours to complete. They left the area perfectly clean. He did everything well. He was very accommodating, very flexible and very helpful.

We made an appointment with Dave Roundtree for three needs: 1) to paint our front door, 2) re-caulk the bathtub area of our 2nd bathroom, and 3) to tighten a loose shower door handle. Dave brought his partner Enrique and did great and thorough work. He is always jovial, polite, and willing to go the extra mile to get a job done. His charges are reasonable and fair. (This is the second time I am recommending Dave, as I also wrote about Dave in February of 2015.)

I needed a 50+ year old outdoor faucet replaced. Everything appeared to be rusted in place. Dave got the job done in only a few minutes. Everything went well. I would use him again. Cost included the new part.

Quick & Painless. Got us on the schedule quick, came out and replaced the old faucet. Have a new leak free one now. Dave is nice & got the work done.

Dave and his helper, Enrique, were great. And more importantly, they were kind. I have been ill lately and they went above and beyond to help me. I recommend Dave, and will use him again.

He and his assistant did a great job. They were nice and professional. I'm gonna hire them again to replace the wooden gate in a couple of weeks. He might not be the cheapest, but it worth every penny.

I've used Dave before and have been thoroughly satisfied. This time, Dave and his assistant braved the terrible weather this past Tuesday to pick up my new toilet from Home Depot and install it in my half bath. I was very pleased.

Everything that Dave and his helper have done for us produced excellent results. In some cases, the results were better than we expected.

I would definitely hire Dave again.

Dave did a great job repairing my fence. He replaced the gate and the latch and some random boards throughout my yard. Very trustworthy, professional and I will definitely call on him again for future projects. Highly recommend!
