house cleaning
+ -1 moreWe complained and got no results from that. Not even an offer to come back and do work to our satisfaction. I was told that I was "picky". I filed a complaint with the BBB of Sugar Land, and still got no results. The owner replied to the complaint that I was lying, basically. This company has several aliases, and has a history of complaints with the BBB. Stay clear of them ... there are too many other reputable companies that you can hire to clean your home.
Description of Work: They were hired to perform make-ready cleaning in our new home. We paid extra for them to polish the granite floor in the foyer. We were not home when they purportedly came to do the work. It appeared that all they did was let themselves in, take the check that was left on the counter, and leave.

house cleaning
+ -1 moreThey moved items to dust but didn't clean any surfaces. The window sills are still dirty, though dust free. They did not mop the two downstairs bathrooms, only spritzed them and wiped with a cloth, apparently. She pointed out more dirt on inspection and that is when they spritzed again. They mopped in the kitchen but didn't move the dog cage over (without the tiny dog in it) to mop underneath until Mother moved it. They didn't clean around the eyes on the stove. They did NOT clean the oven. She paid them, of course. I will be calling their office in the morning but since she didn't do that on Tuesday when they were there, I don't know what can be done about a refund. She DOES NOT want them to come back, even to re-clean. It took me a year to convince her to use Angie's List to find a reliable cleaning service since she has never had a good experience with outside help. I think I'm back to square one.
Description of Work: My mother is elderly and not able to do this kind of cleaning so I got her a list of candidates to call from Angie's List. She told Eugene at Sugarland Maid Service that she wanted the oven cleaned, specifically. Nothing had been cleaned in several years, like the window sills, baseboards, dusting, etc.; the usual spring cleaning, so that is what she asked to be done. They quoted $255.00. She scheduled them to come the next week and she trusted that they knew what to do and how to do it. She did not sit in the room they were working in to supervise the two women who came. Only one spoke English and that did not make her happy. They spent almost two hours upstairs where there is only one bathroom and they were not to do anything in the two bedrooms up there. She had to call them to come down.

house cleaning
+ -1 moreGood service, very nice staff (some with limited English), never have had anything taken from my home. I trust them with the key to my house. I've had different services over the years and this is the best. I live in west Houston - so there territory extends beyond Sugarland in spite of their company name.
Description of Work: I pay $60 for the maids to come every other week. The same team of 2-3 clean my house - they do an excellent job. If I need to switch days I am always accommodated. The folks who man the phones and make the reminder calls are polite and efficient.
