We got a great offer with minimal negotiations on the old house. She provided advice and guidance throughout the process. She made sure that we avoided pitfalls, answered all of our questions, and gave us a personally meaningful gift when we closed on our new house. Gracious, knowledgeable and professional!

At every stage of the process, she was responsive and resourceful. She helped us prepare to sell the house so well that in the first two days we had 30 showings and 14 offers, to of which were above our reasonable asking price. We closed on the sale of our house yesterday, and she was with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Jan to represent anyone in the selling or buying of a home. In fact, we chose her to help us buy our new home. She is completely trustworthy and knows what needs to be done to make these deals go well.

I previously listed the office building with another broker, one who specialized in commercial real estate. After almost two years I decided the time must not be right. Jan Poscovsky had previously found a wonderful townhouse for one of my grown sons in Houston and he was very happy with her professionalism and quick response to his request in finding a beautiful townhouse at an affordable price. I called Jan and she was willing to take on the job. She had two offers almost immediately. It took several months to get things moving with the prospective buyer. Due to financing the contract was extended twice. We closed on the building in December. I was happy with the price Jan negotiated. Jan made the whole process easy for me. I would highly recommend Jan.

Positives: Jan was very professional and listed the house well. Good photos, reasonably good listing (with only one error regarding a security system that didn't exist.) Pricing recommendation was on par with the appraisal. We got an offer the first weekend. Negatives: Throughout the multiple back-and-forth with two different buyers, I had to be extra cautious because the information we got on DocuSign and other documentation from Jan was often wrong. There were incorrect dates, incorrect dollar amounts, etc. If I had just clicked the "sign here" link on DocuSign without actively reviewing the information she had entered, things would have been bad. Yes, it's my responsibility to carefully read everything I sign (which is how I caught the errors), but it's also her responsibility to be correct and accurate in the information she's presenting for signature, and I couldn't count on that with her. The sale with the second buyer dragged on and on, and Jan was far less communicative than I would have liked. I often had to prompt her to find out what was going on - on the expiration dates of each extension. I had expected her to be on top of it, especially since we had multiple extensions throughout this process. All in all, I had to do a lot more work on this real estate sale than I have ever had to do with any previous realtors I've worked with. For the amount of the commission, I expected a lot more service than I got.

They kept us informed all the way from start to finish on our closings.

Overall it went well. They were patient and showed us many different styles in a number of neighborhoods. They helped narrow down what style and size of house we were really looking for. Ultimately we ended up looking at houses outside of their area and did not purchase through them, but we would if it made sense next time!

We've moved several times over the last few years. Jan came recommended to us in 2003 when we were relocated to New Orleans. She handled the lease and eventual sale of our house in Missouri City. When we were relocated to Houston after Katrina, we called Jan and Stan to help us find a new home in the Memorial area of West Houston. Eventually, we decided to sell and move to the country. Again, Stan and Jan were our agents, helping us to sell the house in Houston and buy a farm in Hempstead. We've used two other agents, one to purchase the Missouri City house and one to sell the house in New Orleans. There was no comparison. Stan and Jan go the extra mile. When we bought the house in Hempstead from a couple who were selling "by owner." Jan caught some critical paperwork errors on their behalf and had it corrected. When we sold the house in Houston, Stan and Jan brought us the buyers. I can't say enough good things about them.
