S & B Plumbing Inc

We were very pleased with their work. They are local. They are excellent. They are the only people we've used so we haven't compared their prices. They are quick to respond and they are on time. We are getting ready to call them again.

They arrived on time. They listened to all my concerns and corrected those concerns. They went above and beyond my expectations. The final outcome was clean and work was professional. Plus the neighbor's watch cat liked them also.

I called to have them come bid on replacing an old tub and replumbing it. Initially, they were to come on a different day, but Brent had tire trouble and we had to reschedule. It was when I called them, that I found out about him being delayed, so we rescheduled. I couldn't make the appointment, but my husband met with Brent and said that he was very short with him and frustrated that my husband didn't know all the details of the tub I wanted installed. One quick phone call could have taken care of that. He acted like he didn't want the job and said it would be at least $1800 and up. I phoned Brent myself and he was nice enough to me on the phone, but when I asked him about the quote on the re-plumbing he quoted it would be at least $2000, that they would have to cut a hole in the floor (2nd story bath) to move the drain, etc. I told him thank you, but no thank you. The other plumber we called, came out on time and gave us a written quote of $995 plus 10% discount for being a member of Angie's List. Quite a difference in attitude and pricing. Not a good experience with Sugarland Plumbing nor would I ever call them back for any other work.

They were wonderful! I will definitely use them again. They were extremely reasonable in price.

Job was done professionally and on time. Service technicians were punctual and worked in our attic in 120 degree heat. They also made some excellent recommendations and we will use their service again.

We used S&B about 3 months ago and it was an easy decision to call them back. Mike and his helper were on time and got the job down quickly and efficiently. The came in, looked at my three issues and then split up to get the things fixed. Mike then went double checked the work to make sure it was right. Everything was done in less than an hour.

Overall, it went very well. They responded to my call within a few hours, and quickly unclogged the sewer drain line. They sent a crew of two diggers and a plumber out early the next morning, and the work was completed in a couple of hours. I was pleased with the prompt and professional service, but was somewhat surprised that the work cost so much. The initial estimate was about $1,500, but ended up about $1,640. I think the increase was due to the fact that the diggers ran int some tree roots. I haven't had this type of work done for several years, but I thought the total cost was somewhat high given the length of time it took to repair the problem. On the other hand, they told me up-front pretty much exactly how much it would cost, and I agreed. For this reason I rated the cost of the work "fair." Perhaps I actually got a good deal, but I was in no mood to comparison shop with water backing up into my bathtubs.

Couldn't have expected better unless they maybe wanted to do it free. Just kidding.

I had a gas leak in my yard and they came out two hours after I called and scheduled the work for the following morning. The work took about 4 hours total for the new line to be installed and the other interior adjustments.

This was actually the second service I got from S&B. The first was a minor plumbing repair on a disposer. While they were here, I asked about the leaky faucets and also complained about staining in the sinks from the leaks. At no cost to me, they helped clean the stains and even left me the product they used. When they came back to replace the leaky faucets, I got a fair price and the work was done very well. It's an older house and there were a few challenges in the old plumbing, but there were no additional charges for the extra time it took. I paid exactly what was estimated. Very professional, very helpful. I'm pleased to have found such a great plumber.

Sugar Land Plumbing, a division of S&B Plumbing, was very responsive to my call. When I asked about ballpark costs for some of the items, the representative was cordial and outlined some general guidelines for pricing. I had no problem getting an appointment and the plumber was very professional, courteous and neat in both his appearance and his work product. He arranged to get the converter from Moen (it was under warranty and we only paid labor) and was efficient in his repairs. We were very pleased with the work -- the new on/off valves for the washing machine were installed with new hoses -- and felt the costs were reasonable and competitive. We will be using Sugar Land/S&B again for any future plumbing needs!

My yard service line broke in the middle of the yard between the water meter and the house. I called S&B who arrived in less than 2 hours. After locating the break, they determined that the existing yard service line was made of polybutylene which is no longer allowed by code. I was quoted $250 to perform a repair or $900 - $1,000 to replace the yard service line. Due to evidence of prior repairs, I opted to replace the entire yard service line. After the entire yard service line was excavated, it was determined that the polybutylene was run under the slab and couldn't be replaced. Instead, a new copper pipe with an outside cut-off was installed where an outside water nozzle was located. This increased the cost to $1,100 plus $75 for the city permit for a total cost of $1,175. Water was restored by late afternoon. The quality of the work was very good and they did an excellent job of filling in the trench and replacing the grass. They were very courteous and professional.

They were punctual and quick. They very quick in answering my call.

I originally called another provider (is listed as an A) who was closer to my house. No one answered so I left a voicemail. After 2 hours of no call back, I tried S&B. They answered the phone immediately, very politely asked a few details of my problem and understood exactly what it was, quoted $119, then set up a visit the next morning. Once Adam arrived, he was very professional, listened to all my plumbing concerns/issues, then proceeded to get to work. I was on the 2nd floor and you could barely tell someone was working on the plumbing on the 3rd. Adam, and his assistant (didn't catch his name), finished in no time. In a manner I could understand the plumbing background, explained to me what was happening and even how I can avoid it going forward. I can now, thankfully, given Houston heat, run the AC and pipes are clean! I rarely give reviews, and I understand that my issue was fairly basic, but I feel very confident in saying that I recommend S&B and rate an "A" for all qualities.

I had gotten a bid from another plumbing company for this project but S&B Plumbing Inc/Sugarland Plumbing gave us a better bid. I felt that their prices were fair. I also liked the fact that they installed PEX. The other company was going to replace the galvanized pipes with PVC piping which is a different kind of plastic. I did a pretty extensive research on the comparison of the quality of the pipes and I learned that PEX is a better product. Mike, one of the manager?s from company called me up this morning to ask how everything was. I told him that I was having a little bit of problem in the bathroom. I was not getting the right amount of pressure I should while flushing the toilet. He said that he himself or one of the men that was here yesterday will come out and make sure that it is corrected without any extra charge. I thought that was wonderful, I didn?t expect that. I appreciate their promptness to come out and correct the problem that too with no additional cost. I?m very happy with the company overall.

Matt who was sent out from S & B Plumbing INC/Sugarland Plumbing Company was just very nice. He was very professional. He showed up on time and finished the work on time. He explained the problem and explained everything he was doing to fix the problem. He did a very clean, neat job. However he couldn?t finish it all in one day because he needed to go get extra parts. This is an old house and it didn?t have the right sized piping. He was back with the materials the next day to finish up. I had a very positive experience with S & B Plumbing INC/Sugarland Plumbing Company.

We called S&B Plumbing and within 30 minutes a technician was here and then 30 minutes later he was done....1 hour from call to completion... Mike was professional, had all the parts he needed and was very knowledgeable. Leak was fixed and we are very happy.

I called the company because the kitchen faucet was leaking, the garbage disposal was not working and the temperature of the hot water was too low. I called and the service tech came out within a few hours. They replaced the kitchen faucet for more than $100 less than the other two companies I had called before them. I was told the garbage disposal was going to have to be replaced by another company, but their service person found the obstruction (turns out a penny had fallen down the drain) and cleared it for no charge! They also took a look at my hot water heater and recommended that I replace it, even though the work has not been done, the estimate is still lower than the one I've gotten from another company. They were very neat and polite! They put everything back like it was after they finished working. I will definitely use them as my plumber from now on!

Brent and Jason arrived promptly. There was a strong odor in bathroom. Our exterminator thought it could be due to a dead skunk. However, after having the siding pulled to searched under the garden tub and walls by another company, a dead animal could not be found. The thought was that the odor could be due to the wax seal. I contacted S&B Plumbing because of the "A" rating on Angie's List and the great reviews. I had utilized another recommended company previously to replace the wax seal following an improper reinstall of the toilet following new tile installation. S & B plumbing examined the seal and noted an inferior glue of some sort was used to reinstall the toilet the last time and recommended replacement again of the wax seal. He recommended giving the odor a few days to dissipate. I'm patiently waiting. However, it's been 4 days and unfortunately the odor has only weakened some. All in all, Brent was the most knowledgeable and professional plumber I have ever used to service our plumbing. I will definitely contact S&B plumbing first for any plumbing needs in the future.

There were here within two hours. They were very punctual and friendly. It was expensive.

The plumbing team was on time, had all the proper equipment, and got to work right away. They evauated the situation, provided an estimate, and checked all connecting pipework. Besides replacing the water heater, they replaced the roof vent and some bad pipework done by someone else. they even unclogged my roof gutters when they saw that they were clogged. In the four hours they were here, they were totally professional and explained each step to me. Knowing that I can count on S&B in the future is truly comforting, as my 40-yr old house is bound to need more help.

Everything went very well, I was very happy with them. The best thing about them is that they were able to a**** my situation, told me to go with one water tank instead of two, and essentially lowered their overall revenue on the job.

My mother has used S&B in her townhouse for over 10 years, and when I bought my house in the Heights three years ago, they were a natural choice. They are always on time, friendly, professional and deliver excellent value for service. They are extremely trustworthy, as well.

Noticed water on property line between neighbor's house and mine. Neighbor had plumbing company come out and determine source of leak by shutting off water at entrance to house and watching meter to see if it still ran. Neighbor's meter did not run during this test but mine did. I independently confirmed this and called a plumbing company. They arrived, gave estimate of $600 for repairs, and charged $75 for service call (credited toward repairs if I used them). I told them that I wanted a second estimate, then I called S&B as had seen a review on this list that they had done this type of repair for a reasonable price. S&B arranged an appointment for the next day. S&B arrived at the appointed time (with four people & two trucks), looked at scope of the job, confirmed that the leak was in my supply line, and gave me a price considerable less that half first estimate which was based on the leak not being underneath the driveway. After I agreed on the price, they located the probable location, and dug around it. The leak was in a 90 degree PVC elbow where the line changes direction to go under my driveway. The crew spliced another 90 degree elbow, with a short piece of line on each side. While waiting for the PVC adhesive to cure, I got to speak with Bo Burke of S&B. They do this type of repair on a regular basis. We also discussed what they would have done if the leak had been under the driveway (it didn't involve digging up the driveway). After the repair had cured they filled in the hole being careful to put the sod back in place. I gave them a check for $275 and they left for their next job. This was the most positive experience I have had with home repair in some time. I was totally satisfied with S&B's work and will call them again in the future for my plumbing repairs.
